Ugh, the late 90s/ early 2000s was such an awful time for women, the media was just so gross and it was totally acceptable in general society to just be nasty to women.
I know she doesn’t where blonde as much nowadays, but lil Kim was definitely an iconic blonde. Would love to see a Kim look!!?

I feel like a rooted blonde is a guilty pleasure of mine. I even attempted to reroot a Barbie with rooted blonde hair which ended with her having a very brown nose. This series has been amazing so far and you do great work recreating these looks!
Rerooting a doll to have rooted hair is totally doable! I've done it a few times. The annoying part is is that you have to wash the hair a ridiculous amount of times before you even begin rerooting.

@@Primehoarder when I did a Billie Eilish reroot with the green/black, I ended up washing it something like 25 times times before rerooting. And then a vinegar soak

Pamela Anderson is truly underrated. I remember watching VIP and thought it was surprisingly better than what you’d first expect. As a young girl seeing someone like her kick ass was a big deal. I wasn’t very girly but I was very outspoken and that wasn’t what girls were supposed to do even then, so watching her be a boss and not take any flak was huge.

I love Pamela Anderson!! I wish you would have mentioned her crusade to free Julian Assange. It's a very brave and controversial stance. She catches a lot of flack for it but IMHO she's the most outspoken celebrity fighting for freedom of the press. I can't think of anyone else willing to risk the backlash.

For a more modern blonde icon I would say Gaga! I’m talking late 2000’s heavy bangs and hairbows. It was her brand for so long and so recognisable.
So upon second viewing and thinking about it, I think that Gwen Stefani would be a great addition to this list! I know she her look was heavily inspired by Marilyn Monroe but she is arguably one of the most iconic and consistent blondes of the late 90s and 2000s when it comes to a signature look!

As for how the video affected Tommy-Lee - he became a folk hero and got more respect and admiration from the 'normal' community than he ever got via his work in Mötley Crüe. Not only was he having good naughties with Pamela Anderson but he was very, erm, 'physically impressive' to some people. It was a clear example of how a woman's career was negatively affected but the man's career was boosted by the same event. I remember the media frenzy well. 🖤

You have to watch Stacked. I believe that was Pam's last big Prime Time show. I ADORED it. Two Seasons: 2005 and 2006. It was a really cute show. I wish they'd made more of it.
