What do you guys think of these new AZ-800/AZ-801 courses and exams that Microsoft is releasing? I personally think it's great since there was currently no way for anyone to prove their server knowledge to a current or future employer. Only people who managed to write the previous Server 2016 exams or older would have some form of proof. It seems Microsoft wants to move everyone towards their role based certifications which mostly focus on things like Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics. This unfortunately left a gab though because now we had Server 2019 courses but no exams at all to write. At least now from Dec 2021 you will be able to write the AZ-800 and AZ-801 to earn yourself a Server certification once again. Please keep in mind though that these courses don't JUST focus on Server but also cover things like Azure ect since that's where things are heading. You will need to know how to link your On-Premises environment to Azure and how to configure and maintain it. This is sadly where things are heading at this point in time. Please let me know what your thoughts are on these courses and exams?
This course is great for everyone who wants to learn Microsoft Server OS . Except Last 3 videos this course is showing what is Windows Server OS and it's roles, features , etc . Formerly knows as ( 70 740, 741, 742 ) which were retired . AZ 800 and 801 ( both exams will give you MCSA certificate with hybrid core infrastructure ) are about All these above + Azure . I didn't find any official Microsoft Study guide , that is why i can't say more . Big Respect to author for sharing . I am MCSA , MCSE and i can say that till now we focused on on-premise Server OS . Now we need all these knowledge and move it to the Cloud .
You think that the certification that one can obtain by passing the az-800 and its companion test, is a good alternative to the retired mcsa certification?
I was looking for the same, I will watch all your videos so please complete the course so that in December I will apply for exam. Thank you so much and hope will see az801 playlist.
Thanks for the support :) I've been getting a lot of support on this video series so I have no choice but to make more haha The next lesson should be up by Saturday
@@lotfiboucherit It's a pleasure. The video course is not finished yet, I still have a lot of material to cover :) I'm making it as I find free time to do so. You'll see some weeks I'll upload multiple videos in one week and other weeks I'll only upload like 1 or 2. All depends on how busy I am that week
Honestly, not really from I've seen. If you go look at the exam objectives and skills measured on Microsoft's website, you'l see it covers the usual same old Server stuff for the most part. I it includes things like AD DS, Domain Controllers, RODC, DHCP and so on which is the same usual bla bla from the usual server courses. I do see Virtual machines and Containers in there though so this course is very similar to the 20740 course from Server 2016. Not completely but close. It also has Azure in it but nothing fancy or to advanced. It's more things like creating domains on Azure, doing Syncing and that kind of stuff. None of that stuff us "New". Based on what I saw in the objects and skills measures, I see nothing new. It really looks like Microsoft took things from 2-3 courses, mashed them together, and slapped a new name on it and called it a new course but there is nothing "New" about it lol. Typical Microsoft
the problem with this course is that microsoft did not think of making an entrance exam. it is absolutely not suitable for those who are starting because windows server is not covered, it is taken for granted that a person must already know it and the concepts are advanced. the course should have been divided into several parts simplifying and reducing the concepts that are too many. even in the official modules it is written that you must already have the requirements to participate.
I fully agree with you. Microsoft has been doing this with a lot of courses lately, not just the AZ-800. Another example I can give you is the MD-102. The MD-102 according to Microsoft is a combination of the now retired MD-100 and MD-101 but in reality it's 95% just stuff from the old MD-101 and hardly nothing from the MD-100. The MD-100 was a great course to introduce people to the topics and to get them started. We all have to start somewhere, we did not just wake up one morning and know all this stuff.
@@jpcapobianco1979 Yeah Microsoft is getting out of hand now. I like how when they release a new course/exam, they tell you in the exam you need like 5+ years of experience with the stuff but the stuff has only existed for like a few months haha
I noticed you are still actively uploading content for this course? how far away are you from being finished? I have a free voucher for the 800 but I have to take it by March
Hi, Yes this one will cover everything for the AZ-800 exam but you will need to do another course for the AZ-801. The earn the certificate you need to write both exams. This course is just for the AZ-800 :) I'm not done with the course yet though. I'm actively still busy making the videos and uploading them
Hey there, I have recently passed AZ-104 and 305 and would like to begin the 800/801. How do these exams compare in difficulty? the AZ-104 was very tough
Your correct, the course is not done yet. I've been to busy finishing up other courses on the channel which more folks were pressing me to finish so this one kinda got left on the back burner for a while xD There wasn't a lot of interest in it at first which I suppose was partially due to the fact that the course was still very recently released. I see in the stats for this course that lately there has been a sudden massive surge on this course so I guess I'll have to finish it now that there is a demand for it
Is this Full Course video can be able to pass the certification for upcoming AZ 800 - 801 ?? Because this is my first time I see a tutorial video for this new Azure certification 800 - 801
Hi, Yes if you watch this full course you will be able to pass the AZ-800 certification exam since this course is based on the official exam objectives and skills measured. The course is not done yet though, I'm currently busy making more lessons as we speak for the AZ-800. The AZ-801 I'll probably do after I finish making the videos for the AZ-800 :)

thank you very much am really happy for the work you are doing

From what I've seen I'd say yes. It will be the only "Server" certification so we won't really have a choice but from I've seen it's not to bad
MCSA was much better. this course not cover the basics its advanced

is this all the entire course for AZ-800, and is this enough to prepare for the exams

If you do not have any experience with an on-prem environment it will be very, very tough and a bit understandable.
