    2 years in IT. One year as a sysadmin. Currently managing an AD of 330 users with multiple DCs in sites across the country :) - lots to learn but it's super interesting.

    25 years in IT. First experience with AD was in 2004 as a forest admin on Server 2003, when we stood up AD for the first time, replacing our old NT4.0 PDC and BDCs. We had about 200k people on the domain by the time we were done, and within a few years it was over 2 million users, with over 30 domains in the forest. I've not touched AD since around 2015 with Server 2008R2, so I'm watching your videos to see what's changed.

    Thank you! Are you going to do the same with the AZ 801? Az-800 and Az-801 Gives the Hybrid administrator associate certificate :)

    thx for this course, It's nice and simple, so I can get started on my windows server journey. Coming from linux system administration, all this is kinda hard to wrap your head around

    Hi,
    Thanks for the videos.It would be great if you provide any practice materials so that along with studying we can practice a real life test, which would give us an idea of the pattern of questions.

    Hello. Fantastic series again. Will you be looking into making the content for the AZ 801 ?

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +2

      I might but it depends on how much interest and their demand is for it. For some courses there is little to no interest so I'll end up creating content for 1-5 people and it sometimes take me as long as week or two to just make one video it aint exactly nice when that happens and it happens xD The AZ-800 luckily had a lot of demand

    Thanks for your time and effort on this! I have one question, what do you usually do with 1st Administrator account later on? Do you keep it as your domain admin, do you remove it from that group and just keep it as local admin on DC and add additional account as your domain admin. I mean what would be the best practice? Thanks again!

    Time to update my skills now as windows on prem is going to become a thing of the past as working from home is increasing. Desktop pcs are becoming more less now everyone is getting laptops working from home. More and more people are coming into IT now so we need to update our skills to stay relevant in IT support sector. Thanks

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +1

      True what you say. Everything is moving to Remote, Virtualization and Cloud so there is less and less of a need for on-prem stuff which also means less of a need for those people who used to manage that stuff.
      If people don't upskill themselves they will quickly become redundant. Scary thought

    nice video man. But I didn't understand what username you are using to login after the reboot.

      On a new Windows Server there is a user automatically created called "administrator and it has full rights. Best security practices are to actually create your own admin account and disable the default admin acct as it's a common attack vector.

    Hey,, Thanks for the videos.. my question is, are these videos enough to pass the exam AZ-800 or should I also read articles from learning Microsoft Site?? Thanks

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  Рік тому +1

      It should be enough but if you have time and if your willing, I will definitely recommend studying other resources too as an extra.
      The more the better. The Microsoft Site is a great resource to use.

    • @jmckey
      @jmckey 8 місяців тому +2

      I would also recommend taking a practice exam. They should be available on Microsoft's site for free.

    DSRM password is not the domain admin password. Otherwise good job.

      DSRM password allows the admin to restore o repair an AD database

    For this course AZ-800, is this based on Server 2019 or Server 2022, or it does not matter because 2019 and 2022 are close to being the same ?
