Awesome scenic views, you guys are fortunate to be able to visit these places, we don’t have views like that on the east coast. Thanks for sharing
Thanks John. I would agree. We are definitely spoiled in the NW.
Wow that was fantastic. Thank you for sharing that.
You’re welcome
We went to The Painted Hills Unit a year or so ago. Camped at Ochoco Divide Campground, which wasn’t too far away. So pretty!
Yes it is. Hard to believe it’s Oregon. Such a different landscape.
Loved this!
Me too!
The video quality is excellent, and the landscape is simply amazing. Enjoyed watching the fossil museum.
Thank you Rishi. That was pretty amazing. 50 million years is just almost unbelievable.
The best time to visit the Painted Hills is just after a rain shower. Makes the different colors really pop. Growing up, we'd enter the back door at the Cant Ranch, which led into the kitchen. My great-grandmother was always baking something in her wood burning stove. The smell always made my mouth water. My grandmother, Lillian Cant, married Lawrence Mascall, whose ranch was just on the other side of Picture Gorge. These are my most treasured minorities in life.
Thank you for your video.
Appreciate the great tip and story. We always love hearing them.
What, Oregon? Did you make a wrong turn? :)
So cool!
😂. Maybe. It sure doesn’t look like the Oregon we know. It was pretty amazing.
Definitely a hidden gem of Oregon ! Thanks for sharing.
No doubt. Love how you can visit and barely see another soul.
Mitchell. Notorious speed trap. At least in the 80s.
Interesting. We barely saw another living soul. 😂
