I have wanted to do the glass blowing for soooo many years. Every time we go to the coast I look into the shops to watch others. I’m so glad we had horrible weather so I could do it! 😂 I definitely want to go back and try a different shape - maybe a vase or a bowl. My float looks awesome in the house! ❤ It was such a fun experience and I have so much more appreciation when I see handmade blown glass art sold in stores now.
Hi everyone. Hope all is well and hope you enjoy our latest episode on surviving the coast when it rains. It’s something we deal with a lot here in Oregon so it’s great to have alternatives and fun things to do. If you have other things you recommend please comment and let others know.
That is one beautiful drive. We did a video on driving the coast. You might check it out if you haven’t seen it yet. Also have one where we drive the Northern California coast. You are going to love it.
Thank you. Great timing as we’ve been talking about making a video about the camera gear we use. For most of the video work it’s a DJI pocket 3 and iPhone. For photography it’s a Nikon Z6 and Fujifilm XT5. Just picked up a medium format film camera so looking forward to shooting that soon.
You're helping me get inspired. We're leaving the high desert of SW Colorado for the Oregon coast in about a week, spending 11 days in state parks from south to north. I'm hoping for sun, preparing for rain. Good times, regardless.
Good stuff! My wife and I are hoping to make a trip to the PNW with our travel trailer (Lance Model 1985) in 2025. It’s a loooong drive for us being from San Antonio, TX, so we want to spend a lot of time there, and make the most of it. We’re retired. What month would be the best to visit for good weather, small crowds, and easy state park reservations??? September? Thanks!
Hi there. State Parks are booked 6 months in advance so just make sure you book early. All summer months will be busy but not as busy as most tourist destinations. It’s never unbearable. I would agree September would be a great time. Weather can be dicey though but no months is guaranteed except maybe August.
I was there this past weekend in Yachats. Crazy wind on Saturday and luckily Sunday gave us somewhat of a break, but like you said, it's the Oregon coast and you get what you get. I do want to try the glass blowing. Did you guys just walk in or do you need an appointment? Thanks for an awesome info!
@@ScorpioMoon thanks for watching. Happy to help. We live in Oregon so we visit the coast often. Of course summer is best but very busy. We love March - May as you can still have great weather but no crowds. Winter is good for storms but a ton of rain. If it were my first time and I was hoping for good weather I would look at May.
@adventuresofjandk thank you for this beautiful video , my family, and me. we are a rain lover we're planning go for November or February, we just didn't know wich mont has more rain
I was born in Tillamook raised in Portland Oregon's my home I miss Oregon I live in Denver now and I wish I was back on the Oregon coast doesn't matter if it's foggy rain and I love the coast it's always beautiful and you always see something different every day it's a great place to be thank you for the video it was great.😂
Every video just gets better and better. Thanks for taking us along the Oregon Coast. Beautiful.
Appreciate that.
Hard to beat an Oregon Coast Storm. Just make sure you are prepared with rain gear.
👍
Love the new audio in this video. Are you guys using new mics? Great video.
Ya they are DJI Mic 2’s and they are awesome. So much better audio. Cool that you actually noticed.

Another great Oregon video. Thanks for capturing fun things to do in the rain on the central coast of Oregon.

We made a reservation online. They were packed up the whole day. Pretty popular thing to do when the weather isn’t great.

That was a duck. 😂
Well it looked like a turduckin.
