I appreciate this behind-the-scenes, fly-on-the-wall montage more so than their polished official music videos. To see Nuno so young tapping into his raw musical creativity and bringing it into being is a gift to all of us. I don't doubt for one second that the idea to have a cameraman onboard was Nuno's. He's forever in creative motion and his biggest achievements are still unfolding. May God grant him another 30-40 years of music making. He is a supernova!

Nuno was such a monster riff writer. Not just brilliant with his leads but incredible to the point where you just don't know how one guy could come up with so many chunky juicy riffs across 4 albums. Insane.
I got to see extreme playing in T.O during the pornographiti tour, and they soundchecked to 3 sides to every story and Rush's Cygnus X-1... I was totally geeking out!

Nuno is the engine and the soul of almost all their music - all that odd harmonics, great riffs - all that is thanks to Nuno and thousands of hours with guitar in his hands
Gary was great, but they could have plugged any good singer in and Nuno could have carried them to success. Hell, this vid is proof...plug another singer in and this is still a bomb ass song. Get rid of Nuno and there is no song.
IMO, this is Extreme's best song by far. It showcases their musical depth & maturity on every level... song structure, lyrics, hooks, vocals, guitar solo, arrangement & performance. It also shows their originality. Sure, you can hear elements of their influences(Queen, Aerosmith, Van Halen) but not so much that they sound like any one band. It's a nice even mix. Bottom line, I don't love everything by Extreme but songs like Rest in Piece, More Than Words and Stop The World make me really appreciate their talent & depth. Cheers
I've heard Pat say that Nuno won't stop when it comes to writing and composing. A 14-month-long tour tour would end and there would be Nuno the next day in the studio, working nonstop.
Blimey ... I love Queen, Beatles, Zeppelin and ABBA too. Queen and Beatles wrote the best music I have ever heard especially the Early Queen stuff like Q I, Q II and Shear heart attack also Day At The Races albums are wonderful:))
I wanted to cry.....I would come home from school at the end of the afternoon and run to watch the clip trip from TV gazeta here in Brazil or dic mtv 10 most requested, this song fell among the 10 when it was released, I fell in love for this music, but at that time 90,91,92 vinyl was super expensive, the pirated cassette tapes that existed were difficult to find extreme, you could only find bands that dominated at that time. Today, seeing the translation, I understand why my heart was beating fast when I heard this song, beautiful...one of the most important songs for this world that serves from generation to generation
Some individuals are born gifted ,then mould it into perfection .If you play, sing and write music you realise this level is unobtainable to most of us .Nuno set the bar so high with this one !
My band opened for Extreme in Sept of 1988 at the Living Room in Providence, RI. They were incredible that night. They did More Than Words as a sound check, and they loved our music. An incredible experience.
This is my all time favorite solo. It must feel so amazing to get together with another person and just write a song. It seems like its very gratifying and draning at the same time. But also very rewarding especially if it is truly coming from your heart.
The kid's just touched by an angel. There's no way getting around that. His radio is tuned to the heavens. He's just trying to figure out the songs he hears on that radio. After 30 years of following him this is the only reasonable explanation I can come up with.
That was so great I loved being a fly on the wall to watch that creation happen they are so talented! Just cemented my mind that extreme is one of the most underrated bands of the 80s
What an incredible song writing team Gary and Nuno are. It's great to see the process. Then Pat and Paul came in with their mad skills and they really end up with something quite remarkable.
@zzerovisibility there amazing live saw them twice one time with ratt with a horrible sound set up and Extreme still sounded amazing it just goes to show there pure talent.
Love this song and album! I was stationed in Okinawa Japan with the Marine Corps when the album dropped. I got the CD at the Camp Kinser PX and still have it to this day!
HEY... you guys, this is so cool you video taped this. I am a guitarist/singer/songwriter myself and have always loved you guys. With that being said, most people truly don't realize how much work actually goes into writing a song. It takes a lot of practice and patience working with the rest of the band to make it all come together. And that's just one song. Now multiply that times at least 8-10 songs per album. It really is a lot of work. But at least it's "Extremely" rewarding!
Proof of just how much of a visionary nuno was. He had a huge ideas for three sides and unfortunately it was bad timing and wasn’t what fans wanted to hear at the time. Personally I think it’s one of their best albums..brilliant album!

It infuses strong elements of funk and prog rock, it holds up. I’d love to hear the WFTP version, dirtier and less polished, raw.

After 25+ years, it’s still a go-to for me.

Outstanding album. Not just in the Extreme repertoire but in rock albums period.

Hands down one of the most underrated bands of all time. Love Extreme!
Nuno and Extreme so inspirational even Brian May recognised it
one of the benchmark melodic and technically brilliant and beautifully crafted solos of all time
The fast rhythmic part of the solo is also great, but that tuneful melody wail cuts straight to my heart
