@@bungusgrumble7524 THANK YOU. Seriously; poor grammar = bane of my existence. Regardless, it was still pretty obvious his intention when he said "struck a nerve". What he meant to say is "struck a chord" or stuck an emotional cord" or something along those lines,
grammatically speaking. OR MAYBE, what he meant to say was that he was "triggered", as what he pointed out brought him back to a past traumatic event

"9 Rules from Chris Pratt, Generation Award Winner."
    1.) "Breath. If you don't you'll suffocate."
2.) "You have a soul. Be careful with it."
3.) "Don't. Be. A turd. If you're strong, be a protector. And if you're smart, be a humble influencer. Strength and intelligence can be weapons, don't wield them against the weak. That makes you a bully. Be bigger than that."
4.) "When giving a dog medicine, put it in a little piece of hamburger, they won't even know they're eating medicine."
5.) "It doesn't matter what it is. Earn it. A good deed, reach out to someone in pain, be of service it feels good and it's good for your soul."
6.) "God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you, believe that, I do."
7.) "If you have to poop at a party, but you're embarrassed because you're gonna stink up the bathroom. Just do what I do. Lock the door, sit down, get all the pee out first. Okay. And then, once all the pees done. Poop. Flush. Boom. You minimize the amount of time that the poop is touching the air, because if you poop first, then it takes you longer to pee, and then you're peeing on top of the poop stirring it up, and then the poop particles create a cloud that goes out and then everyone in the party will know, that you pooped. Just tru- Just trust me! It's science!"
8.) "Learn to pray. It's easy, and it's so good for your soul."
9.) "Nobody is perfect. People are gonna tell you you're perfect just the way you are - you're not! You are imperfect. You always will be, but, there is a powerful force that designed you that way, and if you're willing to accept that. You will have grace. And grace is a gift. And like the freedom we enjoy in this country that grace was payed for with somebody else's blood. Do not forget it. Don't take it for granted."
(I tried to get it as accurately written down as I could.)

Almost everyone in the country is religious and most of those are Christian, so this whining that people are coming after Christianity is just nonsense. If someone pushed their atheism in a speech like this you know damn well it would be all over the news. "Number 6 god isn't real and believing that is ridiculous." Maybe a standup comedian could get away with it anyone else...would be booed to hell.

You think he sounds brain washed? I would say that the entirety of Hollywood, mainstream media, and California in general is an echo chamber of leftist propaganda. It takes a lot for a straight, white, cis-gendered, religious, famous, very wealthy man to make an open statement about his beliefs to a crowd flooded with an opposing opinion.

One, I think it is measurably true that it is not the popular thing to be christian. Two, I think it's audibly soft the applause when he said anything religious, if you watch the crowd you can see less than half actually applauding; and I'd wager less than half of them are actual practicers of a religion. It was extremely brave to take that stand, especially within the confines of Hollywood, the most atheistic/agnostic crowd that exists who are skewed to the side that christianity is an enemy to "acceptance" of all people.

What they probably thought was him just being random and silly, was actually a really clever allegory for the overall message… as you have to feed a dog medicine by slipping it into some meat-so Chris “fed” them with silliness, however it was all done to disguise some much needed medicine… i.e the cure, that by Grace we are saved through the blood of Jesus Christ! Although, even Chris wasn’t able to fully come out and say the name of Jesus publicly, especially not at the MTV Music Awards-he did however get the point across… they can use the generic name for “God” [to which there are many] all day long, and they can definitely openly talk about satan-even ritualistically praise him in performances while MILLIONS watch, but straight up saying the name of LORD Jesus Christ, that is strictly not allowed and if someone slips up, they’ll edit that part out every time!

No those kids are most certainly not brave, it's not brave when you've got most of Hollywood and the whole liberal media behind you.
They're ignorant little pieces of shit who have been brainwashed by the liberal media into believing guns are evil and that getting rid of them will stop those with their mind set on murder.
The mental health system is the problem, not the tools millions of law abiding citizens own responsibility and use to guarantee the lives and freedom of themselves and others.
Anyone who disagrees is simply a fool who doesn't see the world they live in, and doesn't realize disarming the populous is the first step in tyranny.
I'm not saying it would happen, but it currently can't.

Too many athiests lately think it's their job to lecture everyone and force their views on other people, or even question someone's intelligence based on their spiritual beliefs. At the same time, religious people shouldn't try to force their beliefs on anyone else either. Everyone has the right to their own personal beliefs, and it's no one's job to try to force people to change. Besides, there are some things about the universe we will just never know and it's best to just leave it at that.

I mostly only know humans as being racist, abusive, mean spirited, emotional, and have no ability to appreciate anything good about others unless it is in their selfish interests to do so; but they have ample mental capacity to appreciate the bad in someone and see the worst about them.

This was a very well crafted speech.
I believe that he was talking about both Jesus and the soldiers that died in battle.
Both died. Both spilled their blood.
      Through this blood:
      Our soldiers bought us freedom.
      Our Jesus bought us grace.

You're allowed to practice your religion and believes in your private life as long as you don't impose your beliefs on others.
What are you upset about? That you can't burn witches anymore?
No one is stopping you from praying, going to church, etc... Just don't disturb other people. Luckily the world is progressing from old fairytales and superstitions, but if you want to go on believing them, do it without expecting the same from others.

Remember the causes of the Rwandan genocide were that Dutch supported the "Tutsi" minority and they oppressed the Hutu, who later fought back and killed many innocents.

This speech’s gives me so much more respect for Chris Pratt. He already seemed like a funny and kind guy, but now he is advocating so much for God and our country. This is awesome!

For context, back in 2016, headlines circulated claiming that Lawrence and Pratt had an on-set love affair, while he was still married to Faris. The rumors died down momentarily, but were revived in a big way in August of 2017, when Pratt and Faris announced their separation, which alleged was due to the Lawrence and Pratt "affair."
This doesn’t seem to down to Earth to meet but he’s a funny guy and he looks like a great guy

Ron Hahahaha You don't say this for "context". You're saying this because you are acting like a JUDGER, trying to discredit what Pratt said about God, which is independently true, regardless of the imperfections of the messenger, in this case, Pratt. You, God-doubters, have been doing this kind of thing forever. It's not working, as the Truth is self evident. Now... why don't you bring "context" by digging out the past dirt in YOUR life, and informing everyone you talk to about that old dirt, before you say anything? Well, because that would be wrong to do to yourself; therefore, it is wrong for you to do it here.

Jose Lopez I think Pratt is hysterical I love all his outtakes and he just seems like a good guy but it looks like other aspects of his life he’s not that great a guy

Jose Lopez I didn’t discredit anybody I basically put out there what is factual if you want to look past it that’s up to you I still get a big kick out of them but let’s not be a sheepish about it

Erica White He told us how to shit in toilet before pissing on top of it. It was gross and really unnecessary analogy during his "Godly" speech but because we're Christians, we extend grace and overlook that part. Too bad we aren't as graceful with other celebrities who say the similar gross things.

Such an impressive speech! If you really think about the message he told you how he’s trying to teach you what you don’t wanna hear. What you don’t wanna learn. This was much more than humor. He put a lot of thought into that speech. Prolly why he is so successful .
