I can't believe, I'm the only one leaving a comment....this info is priceless... its your "Jazz" in moto tuning...Dave, thank you so much for posting this!! Never mind that its just a handful of likes, people are ignorant these days, unfortunately...
Hello sir, I have sv650 2004.i would like to make suspension upgrade. I would like to put stiffer spring on front 9n mm, and yss mz456 mknoshock with rebound adjustment. I have 77 kilograms when I put all my gear, would 9 n mm stiff spring would be too much (I like to ride most on mountain twisty roads) an is it this combo good enough to upgrade or should I invest more money on fork kit and better shock, thanks.
Hello and thanks for your question. Your explanation suggests .90 rate would be fine with 20w oil given your weight. The YSS shock is a good choice, and make sure you set static sag correctly at 12-15mm post install.
So if I like my rebound and compression and sag, but still excessive brake dive will a higher oil level or thicker weight be better? If level how many mm should one adjust to see the result?
Higher oil level in 25ml increments x 2. That being said, how oil is the oil and is it 5w, 10w? If the oil is at 8-10,000 miles and you ride aggressively, going with the next grade up makes sense and raising the oil level to use the air spring effect simultaneously makes more sense
@@catalystreactionsbw Thank you. It's OLD. Soon as the tools arrive I will increase weight and decrease the level. The rate I'm going, 6k about 2.5-3 months so plenty of chances to test from 19F through 115F.
i agree thats good info and Dave is the man, but most of the time people dont care about something they dont use, i m one of them. thank u anyway Dave never get tired of watching your videos!!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to invest in yourself!
Sir can you show us how to measure air gap in every motorcycle
I can make a video for that yes.
