I'm sorry man but I can't do that. It currently gets basically zero pressure because no one knows about it, if I start telling people it'll be ruined by the end of the month. If you start wading the rivers you'll find it eventually. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the video!
I was wondering when you were going to tap into the smallmouth spillway! I wonder where they all went? I can't believe you get that spot all to yourself. It's not fair. Haha. I like the compilation videos. I think it's a good way to capture all the highlights from trips that don't yield a ton of fish. The musky was a nice bonus.
Thanks JD, it is! That fish was caught during the spawn tho, by now they've all moved out of that area. I'll probably go back there to catch a wiper at some point though
It's not easy to put out consistent content with everything going on in life. You just have to do what you can and not stress it. Some pretty cool structure under those old bridges. Cool little Musky.
Not a rock bass, I think it may have been a green sunfish just in spawning colors? Yep, that was Evergreen! North of Deer island. Thanks for watching, Chris!
Just got into river fishing recently when I moved to rantoul. I fished the sangamon the other day for the first time and had great success. Any suggestions for other spots in the area accessible by foot??
I’ve got nothing lol. Starting from the bottom. Got a cents ordered and gonna go hit the rivers! I caught rock bass, white bass, largemouth, common carp, channel and a drum my very first time out on the sangamon. I’ve got a spot that’s fairly public but has about a half mile of easily accessible river.
@@bsimmons19 Was that at Sangamon river forest preserve? Only Sangamon spot I've tried is at lake of the woods (the 2 clips under the bridge near the end of this video are from there).
Very good and great sharing
Ah the magic spillway again. Thats a bit of a trek to get to, it seems. The secret is to say you wont catch anything, and then you catch nice fish.
Magic? It got me 1 snagged channel cat lol
@@EngineeringHooksets well, that time.
Nice spillway mat

The smallie spillway clips in this vid are from a month ago, it's probably on fire right now. I think I'm gonna go tomorrow
Man that was a heck of a video! U caught a little bit of everything! I like fishing spillways, you never know what you are going to catch!
Thanks for watching
Nice walleye. That spillway looks pretty cool.

Great video! I love multi species videos, they’re always very entertaining and looks like a ton of fun to hook into all of those fish!
Thank you for the comment!

True, thanks for the comment, man!
Beast of a Muskie!! Lol still some awesome multi species action! I need to force myself to go after my first Muskie sometime soon. Great vid!
Lol thanks
Cool video, Matt! Was the sunfish-looking fish a rock bass? Kinda looked like it. Was the small muskie out at Evergreen?

I’ll never tell. But yes. lol go hit the spot where the wildcat slough flows in. It’s clear water and it mixes well with the muddy sangamon.
She had a belly on her!
I'm not sure which fish you're talking about
More getting spoiled at a spillway.
I wouldnt really call 1 snagged catfish getting spoiled..
