- The Chancellor today delivered his fiscal update, branding it as an ‘Autumn Statement for Growth’. In it, he announced a series of tax cuts for both businesses and workers including the decision to make ‘full expensing’ permanent and a surprise announcement on National Insurance, which has been cut by two percentage points for workers and simplified for the self-employed. Fraser Nelson, Kate Andrews and Katy Balls unpack the details of Jeremy Hunt’s Autumn Statement.

Let's face it, who in their right mind would trust Hunt with their children's piggybank - he'd have snaffled it all and the rubber stopper with his left hand whilst offering you 10p to put in the slot with the right hand.
"There is no money left".....who will ever trust Liebour.....every time they get in it ends in bankruptcy.....

Page 2 of Braverman's letter tells you everything you need to know about fishy Rishi and his rat pack government; "You never had any intention of keeping your promises".
Budgets are now purely political theatre totally and utterly devolved from economics. Boasting about giving you couple hundred pound a year whilst charging them thousands more in energy, fuel etc etc.
Anyone who backs stopping the triple-lock should try living on the basic state pension of £203/week.
I have no problem with stopping it for the wealthy.
Ordinary pensioners are hardly well-off.
I'm confused, aren't our National Insurance contributions going towards our state pension pots? Aren't we robbing ourselves in the future?
As Katie said, that hasn't been true for a long time if ever.
It's not ring fenced and what you get out ( Benefits, State pension, NHS) has no relation to what you pay in , it's effectively just an additional income tax ( on employees only since pensioners don't pay NI which is wrong given how much longer we live after retirement these days )
@jabberwocky life expectancy has gone down under this Government for many areas. Excess deaths rates have gone up, disregarding COVID. Now is not the time to be taking away anything from public services, if you're not healthy you can't work and if you've worked hard you should be able to enjoy retirement.
These Tufton St fools were hyping up Truss's wrecking ball of a budget last year. No humility at all.
Katy Balls For President! 🎉
Argh the focus was all over the place for the first few minutes, I was reading the book spines
Time for Fraser to buy the next size up.
Harsh 😂
Rude.
@@mariea82 But it doesn't fit him and is quite inelegant.

No longer have any interest in establishment politics.
The Hunt for growth translates as the Hunt for votes.
Excellent announcement today. This will help millions especially the self employed. Hopefully, much more positive action to come.
Fraser's looking a bit salty today.
Salty?
@@mariea82 Tetchy. Fractious. There did seem to be some tension between them, Katy especially.
@@garymitchell5899 to be honest I did pick up on that as well but not with the host
@@mariea82 Katy was the one pushing back, but I couldn't tell if it was light hearted or not. Perhaps that's how their office works.
@@garymitchell5899 I didn’t pick up tension from Katy Balls at all…(the host)
Hunt for stagnation more like.

English children in English schools to be a Minority in 12 years.
The English Nation to be a minority in a mere few decades in their ethnic homeland of England.
All Britons of the UK & even the whole archipelago to be rendered a minority some short years after that.
Not mentioned, the omerta remains unbroken & Fraser Nelson thinks it's no big deal & offence to even notice.
lol, would you rather a declining population then? Just because you don't like non-white people
and all these idiots do is yap on about "the economy".
The fact that you actually care about who is a minority and who isn't just shows the kind of person you are.
Someone who cares about our culture being destroyed I guess?
So people who aren't born in Great Britain can't even remotely be part of our culture? Our massive array of ethnicities in this country is something special and something to be proud of.@@Cassp0nk
ANOTHER PRO EU HUNT FAILURE - BEING HYPED ……
If he was properly pro-EU he would make the most economically sensible decision and re-join. That would be the only Autumn Statement to help regular people
