- Secret Life is an odd mix of a Social and PvP Minecraft game started by Grian. Players are thrown into a tiny world with almost no rules, except survive as long as possible.
In Secret Life, players are given a random secret task to complete before the episode is over which rewards up to 10 hearts or bonus items. Easy Tasks can be rerolled once into a Hard Task which rewards up to 20 hearts or bonus items, but carries the penalty risk of losing 10 hearts if you fail it. If someone guesses your secret, it is no longer a secret, and you fail the secret task.
3 Lives = Green Player
2 Lives = Yellow Player
1 Life = Red Player
Red Players are given the goal of killing all the other players in the game.

I love that Grian asked people for milk this session to cure his invisibility and everyone was like "who would carry milk? that would be pretty weird on this server." And Etho just has milk in his inventory for the bulk of the session.

He's so invested in listening to stories like when bdubs had a task to make someone leave while tellling a story and tango listened all the way through it's so funny and wholsome

Gotta say, Etho's really good at bait tasks. I saw Cleo's POV first and really thought his task was creating a Bdubs cult. Turns out, it's just Etho being Etho.
when watching Tango's POV i thought his task was doing everything Bdubs said/butlering for him or something lol
when I watched Cleo's POV it was pretty obvious that Etho couldn't move when he was being watched. He picked up an item by placing blocks to move it towards him, he mined out a room without moving and leaving the drops on the ground, etc. etc. Then watching bdubs POV, it's so obvious that I don't understand how Joel didn't call him out. He was frozen in place, getting in the way of them both when building the spawner, and he had to completely cover himself up to escape.
I think some people are just unobservant. He's been doing bait tasks every week, so I'm not sure how people are still being fooled.
You've gotta remember that everyone on the server are trying to finish their own tasks, avoid spoiling it to other people, make content, and play the actual game. Us as audience can see a lot more when we're not preoccupied with everything else. Also it's just all in good fun xx@@stanleydodds9

the fact that etho did this task being constantly around groups of people is awesome
*technically* he failed a few times (for example in the mob spawner he was crouching over the ledge while buds/smallishbeans were looking at him which is against the task) but thats just being overly strict, imo it was good enough to give him a win lol, pretty hard task!
@@mindblow4248 I personally interpreted "can't sneak" to mean "can't crouch walk," because the theme of the task is "you are a weeping angel. Don't move while people are looking at you" and sneaking in and of itself isn't moving. I also think it falls more in line with the phrasing of "you must not walk, run, or [crouch walk]" since apparently the task felt it necessary to differentiate the forms of movement.
So I wouldn't consider Etho sneaking on a ledge to be a fail.

I love how the obsessive wall building in front of people throughout the season has finally become canon this episode.

There is a spirit of fairness and just making it interesting. Bdubs could've easily hid in the Nether or something the entire episode for tag but he didn't.

LOVE the doctor who reference task but the highlight of this episode was definitely bdubs being treated like royalty for once as he deserves. After all bdubs did teach etho everything he knows about redstone.

This task would be a fun one for reds, but instead of weeping angels it's endermen. So, instead of staying still, for like 15 minutes or so, you have to attack anyone who looks at you. But, unlike endermen, you have to stop whenever they look away.

Bdubs, this is a formal thanks. While great Etho's last episode was considerably shorter than an hour, my routine was ruined and the only thing breaking the silence was thd humming of my computer fan, but thanks to your formal apology he went back to his nearly an hour long ep(with more bdubs!)

What Bdubs said about being his #1 fan and convincing others they are as well should become an actual task. It would be hilarious just to see it happen all over again and see how confused Bdubs gets because it would kinda be the 2nd time.
This was one of the most enjoyable videos I think I have ever watched on this platform. Bdoubleo is just such comedy. Grian and Cleo are also great and I love how Etho's 'decoy task' just took over the video and grew into something he wasn't able to control anymore.

@@Mag1cA I don't think the book thing was fair at all. All advantage is in one direction. It's super easy to avoid it if you know about it, but impossible if you don't. And that's not even counting the contradiction of Etho's task.

Etho, you are hands-down the absolute best in Secret Life. Your antics have me dying every single time, and my depression is nowhere to be found after watching these. Quite honestly, it inspires me to go out of my comfort zone more, too - I often worry too much about being judged for doing "abnormal" things. Best of luck in the rest of the series.

I think your best chance at getting Pearl would have been to ask someone to give you a ride up to her on the Camel with an invisibility potion, its just unusual enough that she might have been distracted by the rider so you could get her and make your escape!

This is the best and weirdest Etho episode I have ever seen. My only disappointment is that I wish Etho acted like bdubs more. When he was nailing the Bdubs impression it was amazing. I had never internalized how much of a weirdo bdubs is with his mannerisms until Etho started awkwardly reciting them lmao. Oh my gorsh they took it to another level when it became a cult. Scott joining in was so unexpected and beautiful.
