This game holds a very dear place in my heart. Used to play itu with my uncle when I was in High school. We made two different saves and competed to see who can finish it first. He passed away before he managed to finish the game and a few months later, I beat the game on my own. Hope they Remake this masterpiece..
Same dude, I know majority of the grandia fans somehow seem to hate this game but I was completely blown away by the game when I first played it.
I would even argue this combat system and exploration is far more surprior than FFX but alas this game's name was lost in history due to its own fanbase and bad writing on the second half.
I missed this game so much. 😢

@@5chneemensch138 well that's a shame. in my opinion, the battle system of grandia should have been one of the standards of turn based RPGs today. I guess it's just one of the sad realities of gaming going mainstream, devs have to answer to investors who only want to see more and more cash.

グランディアは1からずっと好きでプレイしてきました。1のワクワク感はないし、ストーリー残念な所もたくさんありすぎるぐらいだけど、僕も良作と思ってます。世界観は狭いけど個人的には綺麗で好きです。主題歌と音楽となにより3は戦闘がとても面白かったですね。グランディアもう一度新作出てくれることを祈ってます。

Just found out about this game thanks to randomly being recommended this song and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the visual style of this game.

I got my hands on this in 2007, I was 12 years old. A friend of mine/neighbor let me borrow it and I got surprisingly invested in it and the characters. Listening to this intro is one heckuva throw back. Great game.

In a weird way grandia 3 was grandia 4. if you look at the games there are grandia, grandia 2, grandia extreme and grandia 3. If they made a 4 it would still be awesome!!

but years passed by , until one day i couldn't believe it and he did indeed get a copy of grandia 3 in and of course i instantly scooped that up for 30$cad , and i've just finally beaten it for the second time in my life as im typing this O:

I just used a hyperkin, a mclassic and a mcable gaming edition off my ps2. Upscaled to 1440p signal running at 120 to 144 hz. No pixeled edges on the characters hairs and nothing. Glad I got that hyperkin reality missed playing ps2 and now the games look pretty dame good with no bugs from possible emulators
disagree when I first played it the art seemed so fine to me, sure it's not to compare with today but still this game has fantastic artwork and I would play it with pleasure again as it is. The dialogs with actual voices through all the game is amazing, really envolving characters
I still have yet to play this game. Currently playing Grandia 2. I beat the first one a long time ago. I want to beat them in order. I remember listening to this song a long time ago and loving it. This song alone motivates me more to get through Grandia 2 so I can pick up Grandia 3 in the PS store for $10.

@iamLI3 lol, this post was made 6 years ago so it was most likely the PS3 back then and now I have the PS5 and a lot of games don't appear in the PS5 store now that was once on the ps3 and ps4 store

Honestly the one major complaint I had was we didn't get to really do stuff with the plane. Really wish we had some action flight gameplay and not just cinematics of them flying the plane awesomely. One of the earliest cutscenes even shows planes doing a canyon race. We can actually find the canyon on the world map but can't really do anything at it.
Ya we need a part 4 or a remake… bad.😳 this is still one of the best battle systems and that’s a dam shame that it’s the only thing that lives on through other games.
