- THE INTERVIEW YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR - MEET RITA - " ITCHY " : ANGELES CITY PHILIPPINES
For the past few months I have been searching for a woman I have been wanting to interview. Today I finally found her and asked her if I could interview her and ask her about her life living in Angeles City. To my surprise she agreed to an interview. She was a very happy and very friendly and it was great to hear her story.

About me : Retired American Expat Brian & Filipina wife Luisa, living in the Angeles City / Clark Pampanga Philippines.
The life of a bar girl who got old...I find her charming... One of your best videos of all time...Thanks Brian...
Thank you for your respect for Rita and the help you gave her.
She's a beautiful lady, hope she sees better days.
Have your eyes checked
Poor girl!! One can only see that she has had a very rough life.. Little compassion and understanding will go a long ways!!!!!
And a little money will go a longer way
Despite her circumstances being on the street, Rita still manages to smile and keep her sense of humor despite the odds. You handled that interview well and gave her a voice to tell her story. Thanks, Brian. Keep up the good work and all the best from Germany.
My heart goes out for her, she is a nice person and deserves kindness and respect!!
She’s had a tough life, but seems to still be pleasant somehow.
Shes had a tough life ,,, i wish her happiness and good fortune ,,, life is very hard in the philipines blessings rita
Love videos like this hearing people's stories. I hope you make more like this.
Despite such a hard life....she has a good heart I think, and I wish her well :-)
Since I criticized an earlier video, I must now commend you for asking this woman's permission on-camera. Smart! You even paid her for her appearance, which is the stand-up thing to do.
I gotta hand it to you, Brian. You switched up your game and made it stronger. Letting this woman shine in her own way and showing her respect elevated everything and everyone. Kudos!
She seems a nice lady, I wish her well
another reminder that life ain't fair. Good video and stay safe! 👍👍
She's what we call a survivor and could out survive any of us in like conditions. It's obvious that her kids either cannot or will not help her, knowing that she is of the streets. If she were my mother I would certainly try to give her a higher standard of living. Good interview, nonetheless Brian.
In a way reminded me of Anna , I hope you talk with her again from time to time. Tough life but still can smile and laugh. Thanks for finding her and the interview.
Nice and respectable interview.
Hi Rita... Great interview. You are very nice and we wish you well. God bless you. Thank you
A old X bar girl. I bet popular. Very pleasant however. Life can be tough unfortunately. Glad you bought her a meal. 👍
Cute, respectful... nice to hear her story.
That’s a good interview, I feel sad for her and the kids👌I hope her life changes🙏
Good interview Brian Rita seems a good person and a survivor of hard times.👍👍👍👌
She's happy and smiling without having much and i'm sure struggling through life but she is a survivor and takes every day as it comes with a good attitude.
It's nice meet the person behind the thumbnail/meme and hear their story. Rita seems to have had a pretty tough life and it was saddening to hear her briefly mention that she struggles even to maintain contact with her children. Hopefully you will be able to interview some more people in Angeles City in the future, not just those in the oldest industry but regular everyday people. Perhaps in future sit down with them rather than talking to someone through the window of a car.
great video to watch
Great video 👍vary nice lady but I think a very hard life … She touched my heart … thank you sir 🇵🇭🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
*Attractive ,Nice woman thanks for sharing interesting interview Brian* 👍🇺🇲
Good interview Philly!
She turned out to be a pleasant lady to talk to...despite the cards she’s been dealt so far. I’ll include her in my prayers tonight. I wonder if there’s programs in the region for folks like her.
Very nice spirit woman .
Keeping it real Brian. I know life is very hard for many in the phils. Hard to grasp for many the scale of poverty if you haven’t been there, but your vlogs give a glimpse to many of your viewers.
I like Rita. She's cute and has a nice personality. I wish there was a way to do more for her to make her life easier. It's sad to see such a pretty lady struggling for the basic necessities.
Get glasses
Nice video brian interesting thanks
She looked like she had some hard living. Your interview was respectful. Appreciate the variety of topics on your channel. Stay safe and healthy.
Brian you conduct a meaningful interview.....you don't degrade or get too personal, its not easy as one thinks,
as many don't wish to be seen or interviewed on camera....
these are just persons trying to eek out a living in a hard world!
even in the US its not a Peaches and Cream existence!
your compassion and composure is a gift in itself my friend.
your ending quote is one I have tried to live by for years........but not everyone does, or agrees with it!
Silent sub for the past 5 years. This was one of the best videos yet, something different and interesting.Stay safe and keep the vids coming.🙏👌👊
Bless her, what a sweet funny woman. I sense she is lovely down to earth and genuine. Help her out man.
Set up a go fund page or something.
Yeah, get her off the streets and back to her children. People will donate.
Someone’s gotta manage the money. Not sure she could with too many liabilities in her life. Everyone she knows needs food, medicine, a dental filling or extraction etc. They put family and even friends first to a fault. Everyone will get a little and no one enough. Capitalism is the best antidote to poverty as opposed to Covid restriction(s) which is not “pro-poor”. Unfortunately my business was a casualty to the pandemic otherwise I would be considering hiring her. Unfortunately there are millions like her.
@@WAdelstein Having so many children with no means to support them is not the most wisest of choices. It's a major problem in the Philippines.
she is a sweetheart! funny how you wore your seatbelt for the interview:)) Great content!!
Nice interview! Unfortunately there are a lot Rita's in the Philippine. I love her personality! I wish everyone could see how someone who has nothing be so happy!
Great video Brian. I couldn't stop watching your dog in the background 🤣
A real woman there homeless poor trying to survive I respect people like this ! And I would take her to a date and let her show me around . I bet she is a good guide and fun to be around too ! And one thing I say people age but show dignity in your comments some of you guys . I think she is 40 like she said years have been tough for her ! Respect and love the content ♥ Rita is amazing !
Very depressing on several fronts. Depressing what happens to the women used and discarded by young guys just looking for fun and very depressing for the young men that really think they found love but discover they only serve as a means to an end end up supporting an entire family for the rest of their life in a loveless marriage. I've seen it happen so many times and it still amazes me.
This was a really cool video..maybe interviewing locals will add a new twist to your regular thing.
Thanks for sharing good interview Philly. ThumbsUp! //,,By the way, she had very good spirit-heart.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPECT TO HER...
Raise funds for this Lady Philly. we can help her
We need to!
Yes, I agree with the other comment. One of your best videos. Maybe, you're the next "King of all Media".
Its very good of you to give her something, well done Brian.
Great video. That was a very nice good interview.
She is a true people person great interview. Very smart lady that's why she's out there surviving on those streets. .. had she met the right person her life would totally be different. Beautiful smile beautiful personality. But being a mother , 4 kids, no husband takes a toll on a woman. I watched my mom goes to that. Thanks again
I bet 20 years ago she was one hell of a hottie and a wild one. She has a fun spirit.
Good interview if possible go on more like this. Coz it interesting to now about what's going on with people Good work. 👍👍 👍👍
Yes, I am with Rita. I have to have coffee in the morning. The struggle is real! So nice of you to help her out a little for her interview. I kind of like these videos, talking to the real people...
Thanks for the awesome videos. I look for your videos everyday. Always great info. They are always a great help in and around angeles city.
Looks like she's been around the block a few times. How's Anna? Have you seen her around, Do a follow-up on her.
Life can be hard, this is 2021 and unfortunately this is a global thing in almost every single country, she seems like a nice person full of laughter even in tough times, hope things improve for her and her children, interesting vlog this one philly, regards from England 👍
Yeah, I did enjoy the interview.
If I could get over there, I would.
Yes,don't degrade people, it adds know value!! (How do they keep smiling,,, similar person in the us would be blaming the world!!) good for her, help her out Brian!!
Wow awesome show she has had a hard life . My she find peace
Great interview. It allows us to appreciate what we have. Respectfully
Nice interview. She seems to be doing the best she can in these times.
Sad and nice very good hearted lady
That’s a great idea to interview ordinary Filipinos and get their background and their view. You got to feel empathy for the ordinary Filipinos there. Please keep talking to the ordinary people.
Absolutely, living in a very rural area north of Brian, I often chat to the guys working in the ricefields, always ready to pass the time of day( not doing a vlog BTW!).
Have shared many a pack of cigarettes tho !!! 😁
I used to go down to Sorsogon many times every year with the wife. Great people. Loved Legaspi and Sorsogon down to a little town called Irosin. Unfortunately those days have ended.
Watch out LoT!!!! Brian may have found a new girl!!! and shes real sweet on him!!! lol great interview Brian! you finally did it found her and as I told you before she is nice and very interesting lady!
Great interview Brian, lovely woman with hard life , wish her all the best and her kids .
That was pretty good Brian !! What’s next ? Battle field reporting ? Lol ! Good job lad !!
I believe if you trace it back, she was a bar girl at 1 time now age caught to her and bar owners don't want her now; so on the streets she goes. Very sad to say but it is very common there. That is why her english is very good also... so sad so very sad.... No direction in life just live for the day!!!!!!
Great interview Brian. Just comes to show you that life in the Philippines can be tough. I'm always telling people here in the states to go abroad to a 3rd world country, if you think you have it rough. Lastly, your closing remarks really needs to be instilled in people's heads. Cheers Sir!
Itching Rita looks like a very nice and good-natured person. In this video she appears to be jonesing and perhaps has some addiction issues. I would gladly help her out anyway i could. And again, as Ronald Reagan wisely pointed out: "We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone...
not perhaps! she absolutely is a shabu addict i have known her for 6 yrs and she is always looking for money to buy her drugs thats why she very antsy fidgity and moves around alot
@@sammiguel8251
It's always easy to become judgemental as we aren't walking in her shoes. it looks like she has made some bad choices in life and now reaping the consequences.
That was a great introductory interview that you should continue another day. Think of the questions you'd like to ask, and write them down. Maybe ask we viewers what questions we have. I'll get it started as I wonder if she has a drug or medical problem as she does seem off a bit. To rephrase your gutter statement, I do not think the difficult questions are sensationalizing or exploiting her. Next time ask her for a more personal, life story interview. And, of course, make it worth her while helping her situation in any way you can. Great interview of a lovely lady stuck on the streets either by choice, or circumstance, yet another question. Cheers from CA 👍✌
*Rita liked you Brian* 👍🇺🇲
Brian.have seen her walking past margareetas many times, then sometimes in walking street.jhon hall.aust.
Philly does she have like a paypal or something we can help send her money?
Or maybe send you money to give to her? Something you can discuss with her🤔
Can be a great blessing for her if your viewers can donate 1 dollar for coffee etc..🙂
Im sure she has no social media.
@@PhillyinthePhilippines well Uncle Phil maybe we can send donations to you ?
Xmas is around the corner and maybe she can get her kids something nice...I will keep watching your shows and see if she agrees or maybe a surprise for her🤔
@@Talaloa Yes, I would like to help her too but I doubt Philly should go into the extraorinary helping of the locals as it is a little shakey legally...
He's a good interviewer! She seems a nice lady.
I like the sisig girl.
One can look in to Rita's eyes and know she had some rough roads. She appears to have an outgoing personality.
Nice interview of Rita! If i lived and owned a 24 hour doughnut shop in angles city. I would've given a few doughnuts and a cup of coffee for free to only Rita and even when I see the other lady.
One of best videos if not your best one well done Brian 👏👍
In spite her hard life, she’s a very pretty lady; I hope her life changes for the better.
Nice interview. I think she is a nice lady just had some bad luck in her life. Hope things turn around for her.
Great interview
Great job on the spare-of-the-moment interview. 👍 And I wish Tita all the best... 🙏
Hey John boy, mate, you need to look at what you type.
@@brendandoherty2159 Yep, you are right, I meant Rita but reading it now, I put Tita. Cheers :)
Its really sad to read some of the callous and crude remarks that are posted. Such insensitivity and lack of compassion. You are a good man Brian.
She’s a very beautiful lady and a great personality
Great episode! It would be interesting to know abit more the next time you interview someone: how many years have you been in school? why did you not finish school, if so? how far were you to school when you were a child? (many poor people live very far from school) did you have an uniform at school? did you had all books? what kind of job do you like to do? do you have any dreams for the future? how was your upbringing what is your highest wish now? of course if it's okay for the person to ask these questions.
And I want to thank you for not doing gutter interviews👍
Great interview and a respectful one at that.
It's hard for Filipinos after 35 to obtain a job.
Rita has a job, it's the same job as everybody else in AC. I pass no judgement.
U handled the interview very well brian
Nice lady
Happy go lucky kind of person
That’s always nice see in here sacrifice and hard life my wife is Filipino whenever I’m there I like to go on the street and just talk to people she thinks I’m crazy Great interview 🙏
I admire your diversified approach to so many different situations and unique circumstances.. More power to you.
Great interview Brian 👍
Rita seems like a very nice lady with an endearing attitude. I always admire the strong spirit of a Filipina.
Yes I did.you did a very good job.
It was worthwhile for you to interview Rita...we don't think much about the Rita's of the world...like, where do the bar girls and sex industry workers wind up if they survive it? How do they cope day-to-day? Hopefully you will chat with some other Angeles City veterans of that industry and see what they have to share. In the US, the two groups of people that have the most entertaining work stories are cops and strippers. The Philippines equivalents probably rank right up there too.
Nice interview mate, next time time I am back in angeles I will look out for rita
Yes it is, the world would be a better place and I would add do your best to never negatively affect others.
the last line you said Brian...We all need to embrace that these days.
I like that of you (a good person) person in Philippines do have a hard life thank you
Is sad couse the pandemic more hard for everybody in pampanga no more job less worker...i hope the pandemic end soon and back to normal life thanks you brian i miss pampanga thanks you for showing the place..make me feel im in the philippines when i watching your video god bless and be safe.🙏🙏❤❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭 watching from new jersey
