I have officially retired from film Walking Street here in Angeles City Philippines also I am setting the record straight on the rumors and lies that have been spread over the years about me. I will continue to vlogg in and around Angeles City and my adventures here in the beautiful Philippines.

I've been a subscriber for a few years now, right after the Pandemic shut the world of travel down and postponed my trip to Manila. I enjoyed your walks in general, because you just lived your life. You weren't out to exploit anyone. If anything, you helped more than a few people along the way, just by being a good human. I watched your diving vids, Xmas under the bridge, cooking at home, etc. You showed a part of the Philippines I wouldn't have found on my own. Seriously, now that the country is re-opened, I will avoid spots like Walking Street, because of the foreigners. I've seen more and more vids pop up of Walking Street, but the creep factor is high. I never got that vibe from your videos, not even when you interviewed bar girls. Still a subscriber, and can't wait to watch your future walks. If we ever bumped into each other, I would give your hand a shake. Good job.
This channel has a tremendous amount of variety. In addition, because of how long "Philly in the Philippines" has been in existence, you've built up a large base of loyal followers who will watch and listen to you expound on most any topic.

Hello Brian, not judging others is a rare quality today that you show in your videos. Many viewers also do not realise that UA-cam is now a business for the most popular vloggers that make a huge income and have staff on their payroll . Walking St is just a couple of blocks in Angeles. The city in whole isn’t a red light district. There are other places to go. The main consideration for me residing in Angeles is the healthcare. I’m retired US Navy and Tricare is easily accepted at the major hospitals here. It’s not difficult to travel to other parts of the Philippines from here. I frequent Walking St to play pool and drink with my father (who retired here 20 years ago) and friends. The bars are nothing like when the US bases were here.

You did a great job on Fields, especially the early years when the music from the bars added to the enjoyment. The PIMonger Walking Fields 1-5 for me was the gold standard but you were right there with him. Thanks for a job well done!

first of all id like to thank you for all the advice you gave me in the couple years, it did me well on the first trip over. Secondly i feel your content can stand without the Jergens boy material. The girls dont need it, your content is interesting enough on its own, and lastly im more interested in the day to day life. probably why i have to admit i watch more of Lots material. I've watched your videos more than the videos of any other expat in the Philippines. Found your channel while chatting with a woman in the Malabanas area who managed some local apartments for her family. The family finally sold out, and she found her husband and moved to these States. When I went to the Philippines, I started in Cebu (another internet friend who lived in Mindanao). You show class, and treat everybody with respect. I understand the algorithm and dodging the bans, shadow bans, strikes, etc. in order to keep getting eyeballs and paid. It's for the best as your content is worth seeing for future travellers. I'll be back, both to your channel and the Philippines.

Because I missed my chance to retire there......because of you and your style of vlogging......it brings me great pleasure to almost feel as if I'm there, and I've always been appreciative of that. Honestly Brian I almost always tune out your walking street vids because to me they just seem the same. I really like the other vids you do that show people and their lives whatever they may be like. Your travel videos are great. Also, your daily life videos are awesome too. Make whatever vids you want to sir and we can either watch them or turn them off. God bless, and I will keep watching.

Keep up the good work .. I enjoy all your videos especially the ones where you go to different locations and show the culture an daily life of the people there that I'd never get to see otherwise. I also enjoy the commentary on things you occasionally discuss that also gives a view into the world that goes on outside the States. You give me a opportunity to experience through your camera what another country is like an I thank you for taking the time to show life outside my bubble here in the US.👍(oh almost forgot.. your vacation videos at beautiful places are particularly cool to view including the scuba excursions that are particularly interesting)

Hi Brian, stopping vlogging walking street is a good idea. you're right, it's been played to death. I've watched many of them, mainly to see the girls and a few special bars of interest, and as a guy, I may be old, but I'm not dead yet. Your vlogs show class, where others seem to invade the girls space and I did see one where these two guys ( I think Indian) were in a bar in thailand, same thing, walking street there. I do watch many vloggers so I can get a better feeling of the philippines since I'd like to visit there some day. Your vlogs how interesting things and give good advice on things. Misery loves company and i think you are one of their targets. You are a standup guy and have been from the start, that is one of the reasons I subscribed to your page way back when you started. I will look forward to more of your videos of the other topics you have covered, such as the love of history both you and I have. You did good, but how many times can you do the same thing? It was interesting at first but got old. However, I understand that there are new viewers all the time looking for love in all the wrong places. You show more rentals, real-estate, cost of living, daily shopping, and immigration/travel info you will do just as well. Good luck. Look what the Filipina Pea does...she is rock solid.

Been watching you for several years Brian. Your magic is in your authenticity and integrity. My girlfriend is from Makati, she came to US about 25 years ago. I am proud of you. When you filmed on Walking Street at night, I honestly thought, ok he is trying to please his viewers. But I also felt that you were unintentionally feeding sexual voyeur's disgusting appetites. But I never doubted that your good guy and that eventually you would see the light. Any of these viewers that has a problem with you I am certainly they are not worth your time and attention. There is nothing not to like about you dude. And you're a good husband and father to Lut and the children. Stay good and be cool brother.

Hi Brian ( first i am married to a filipina as of this last summer) I decided to stay in Angeles City mostly because of your videos. I felt like i knew the neighborhood and decided that is the first place i want to visit to see how it really is. I watched as many of your videos for different reasons like to see how the community is, and to see places i could stay at during my stay there. Also since i am planing to move there in the near future to PH i wanted to be somewhere that is familuar to me. I loved some of your vids about where to get a BBQ built, where to buy stuff and some places to stay as well for future homes to rent but i have seen the poverty out there and loved the way you helped your fellow man, which when i arrive there i would like to do also. My wife and i ate mostly at Margeritas Station because they treated my wife and me so well, tried some other places but the food was inconsistant in quality. In the two months i lived there this year i had no desire to visit walking street as 1) I am married 2)I am not a young pup anymore or an old perv 3) I mostly looked with my wife where to go to buy different things for the home thanks to some of your vids. I have been trying to find land or prices of lots available in the area to build or buy a home and renovate.I am deeply concerned about the poverty there and altho i am not rich i would love to set something up to help some of those less fortunate then us then us as i know every dollar or bag of rice, or some dry fish helps .I think you are an honorable person and wish one day my wife we could meet in you and your family, as i know any advise i got from you i could take to the bank. Totally agree as I watch other vloggers also in AC as we all do. But you are correct & other vloggers needing or depending on the Utube income have made the same decisions. I'm seeing less from common vloggers to film on fields at night and more as you are maybe a day walk pass by followed by their content of the day of hotels or food or walk & Talk ect ect. Even the Ric Flair of Film making as he calls it Film Making not a vlogger. Rarely did if ever does or did he put out content of fields at night up and down the street. He may have done a handful of Karaoke from a club overlooking but he never went up and down the street. So yes, Codios to his channel, Your channel, Lots channel and a handful of others in AC. That I truly believe the viewers are watching for your Vlogs/Film making content adventures and family insight & food tours and Hotel tours. More so than the Street life at night. Also, to your point of Family's knowing their kids are work in Walking Street. There is a Channel now in AC that Solly does Interviews non face covered of the bargirls n LGBT community, Freelancers, all working Fields. Telling their life & working stories. They do not hide their face or anything.
To close. There are many UA-cam filmmakers in AC. & as you have said many times AC is more than the Walking Street. So your channel and the others will continue to be profitable and grow. As your creativity will continue. Thanks for your channel.

Hey Brian don't pay attention to miserable envious people keep going to what you're doing.
I agree with you, you do not need the click bait of "Walking Street", so many others doing it and it is getting more of the same. I still watch them all to keep current with my maps until I get back on one of my visits. I also stopped doing them on my last visit, as others can do it better and I can link them on to my websites.
Brian always enjoyed ur vlogs it's like I'm back there n u keep my spirit's up. Ur always gona get haters but we all know u do a great job well hopefully il b back in nxt 6 months to live there n bring my kids up take care mate
Brian, nice explanation of the dynamics. We are small and just starting and walking Street is not our focus. That being said what you say is the very true. Our biggest video was me passing out candy on walking street, it also had the shortest view times. As soon as people saw we did not video the girls they left the video. For us we choose to organically grow and its a slow struggle, but it suites our needs and life. Mike and Arlyn, CYA in a few weeks when we get back from the province.

I too am guilty of filming outside of Walking Street, and WITH PERMISSION, have filmed inside Mega Dance Club and the cafe shop that’s right next door. After all of that, I’ve come to realize that Angeles City has so much more to offer than Walking Street, and whatever “Red Light” scene that’s happening.

Hang in there dude. keep up the good work. About your critics, I had an Air Force roommate who used to say, "Some people would bitch if you hung them with a new rope." However, I do have a suggestion. There is some great food in the Philippines. How about some VLOGS about that. Some places might even help you with content. Just an idea.
The BETTER JOB you do, the MORE UP FRONT & HONEST you are about what you're doing then you become the target of those trolls that have nothing else to do. THESE TROLLS are extremely proud of their ignorance of social grace and will in fact go to great lengths to show how poorly they were POTTY TRAINED.
SO, TAKE A BREAK SIR, THEN COME BACK TO US THAT SUPPORT YOUR INFORMATIVE VIDEOS. I've never made it up to Angeles City yet from Cebu, but your videos will make it seem like a return trip there.

I respect your decision, and personally I can only watch so many walking street videos, but you'll probably find your subscribers or at least viewers drop off (because subscribers don't tend to unsubscribe). You may not be paid for THOSE particular videos, but you'll find those videos encourage a certain number of people to subscribe to your channel and watch the OTHER videos that you DO get paid for. I think you are best doing one semi-regularly to keep peoples interest, from a business point of view.
Walking st is overplayed and most of the YT vids about it all look the same so I don’t blame you for dropping it.
Brian just keep doing what you are doing....nothing really appealing about walking street there anyways, seriously. Your videos are great and you have good content without the hassle.

I understand and support your decision, of course but I hope it's not permanent! You actually inspired me to start my own YT channel. Brian I have always thought that you were most respectful of the ladies on your vlog. Yes occasionally there were clear shots of some of the girls, but I never saw you concentrate on getting shots of the working girls, even the ones that proposition you. You displayed what was happening but not to the point of exploiting sex for views. Your other vids have been great and shows life on the island as it is. Best wishes,and looking forward to next video.
