Love it when Adrian reviews watches that no other channel does! Especially calling out the Oris Kermit pilot watch for not being a pilot watch at all! Well done both Oris and Adrian! So happy to see both being different and not joining the crowd!
Oris is always be my love..... is oris that gotten me into horology. Saw the kermit in person yesterday at a local AD. Fun awesome looking watch with a killer good movement. Great review Adrian.
That Kermit is so ridiculous and I love it. I wouldn't buy it unless I lived a life where that kind of money was chump change but I sure hope some people do. I love how fun it is and keep us in place that most watches are not necessary the way collectors keep and wear them. It's important to not take things so seriously all the time.
I think the propilot x is actually a fantastic everyday watch. It is resilient and light, 100meters with screw down crown (yay to swimming or surfing) it has a date window, automatic with 5 days power reserve and it is within COSC accuracy. Perhaps the kermit is not very versatile, that green can be amazing for a day or two but its hard to find more pairings in your wardrobe. The pink, blue and grey versions are defo more versatile. Even though I love this watch, I'll be patiently waiting to see where they go next with this to pull the trigger.
In my opinion, Oris is what Rolex used to be: an independently owned Swiss watchmaker that offers reasonably priced high quality watches with in-house movements and designs, which is why they are my favorite brand!
No ... Sinn is probably closer to a modern Rolex than Oris. With Sinn buying the sellita factory and sticking a Sinn logo on the building to make it look in-house. Rolex didn't make 'in house' movements until mid-2000 you know? When they bought the movement manufacturer Aegler.
@@interianesq yes, but Aegler just exclusively made movements for Rolex. It wasn't part of rolex until 2004. By definition, Rolex didn't make watches with in house movements until 2004.
You’ve got to love Oris, just great watches for the money, actually great watches regardless of the money. As you say no need to be too serious about it, the Kermit is fun in my eyes. Great content as always Adrian 👍🏻
Oris is killing it 100% , those in-house calibers are awesome! And the Altimeter is just sex on the wrist... I will be adding one at some point. Absolutely love it!
They had the jumping minute hand when pushing the crown in after setting the time, there was a workaround for it but granted it was annoying...it is resolved now though, so where are the loads of issues?
❤Loved your coverage of the Kermit❤ Note for me but still very fun, I get it and I think it will do well. Maybe Miss Piggy will be joining Kermit soon. 😊
Enjoy your videos and comments, agree with your thoughts on Oris - I don’t particularly like/want these models but do appreciate Oris being their own brand. They do have a couple of pieces I would love to have in my collection. Wanted to help out with feedback, encouragement and the algorithm
Best thing about Oris is their 400 Series movements with the 120-hour power reserve. Would be great if they could have these movements in their entire product line. Even better to down-size with an 80-hour power reserve for Oris's 36mm and smaller watches.
Ok, maybe the Kermit for a weekend of fun, but these three watches are not my cuppa. I’m glad though that Oris does exist and create left field choices. Speaking about Oris, I am still madly in love with the yellow gold Wings of Hope Big Crown. I would easily have it as my exit watch. Seriously.
I have the salmon dial propilot x and it definitely is a fun watch. It's light and runs for days and tells the time well. What more do I need? I have taken it swimming and have had no worries. I imagine people like to think about classic design or value retention when paying this amount for a watch, but you do get great quality if you like this design.
I might get some hate for this one: I went to an Oris Airstream show in the US and tested the propilot titanium watch. For some reason, the case and bracelet quality of all 3 dial colors on display are barely on par with the Citizen titanium watches sold for 300 USD at the moment... The edge of the case was pretty sharp and I wish they polished it up just a tiny bit. I do like the Kermit edition a lot, especially under the sun. The hue of the green changes just slightly in a positive way. However, I had to pass on the 4600 USD + tax price tag.
I'm getting a Aquis diamonds. I don't have anything that shiny in my collection, not really my thing. I thought why not, it's reasonable all things considered and at 4500 USD with the bracelet and strap thrown in, I can live with that. Every collection needs a few oddities in my opinion.
Love this Kermit. Feels really nice on wrist. For me, a little much to spend on such a whimsical piece but I don't blame anyone for wanting, buying. I'd go a few more bucks for the green Mark XX if something green becomes a must. Or maybe one used with a few dings.... Oris is great. Doing their own thing.
The 400 movement is a hit or miss thing big time.. I was stuck with 2 malfunctioning ones back to back on the Aquis.. Oris haven't done their due diligence in this regard
Will you be getting hands on with the new aquis small second date, 45mm I think so would be good to see it compared to the 41.5mm looks like another good colour and design.
Man I need to see that yellow/orange strap on the white face Hamilton khaki. I’m trying to find one of your straps to compliment it. I have the 42mm version.
What's the difference between the Calibre 400 and the calibre 400-2 ? There seems to be something going on with the movement that Oris has not talked about
I’m not yet in a position when I feel ready to purchase a premium product like a 4 thousand watch, but the Kermit is really, really fucking cool and I’m sure I’ll be getting one at some point. It’s fun, but it’s not Swatch level of fun when you know it’s hard to pull off the watch in an everyday life unless you work in a environment that kind of grows in a “we do whatever we want” type of thing. Kermit is just perfect for an everyday wear for everyone unless you need to be in a suit constantly for your work. I think they really knocked it out of a park this time around.
Bugger. You just made that strap for my Explorer 2, didn't you. And there's me trying to thin down my pillowcase of straps😣 On Oris, I still adore the Aquis Whale Shark. It's massive, but worth getting fat and dying early for. 👌
Agree with you on the incongruence of Kermit + the futuristic TI watch. I like the idea, just not the pairing. Also, why does the intro still have B&J? Thought you pivoted to Adrian Barker!
I really really really really really wish oris would use an adjustable clasp. I’m one of those people who’s wrist size fluctuates really bad and I love a good stainless steel bracelet.
Although not the most versatile watch, the Kermit is so cool! And I think Oris is gaining a lot of recognition, especially with the extended warranties on their watches. That says a lot about the brand! Thanks for the video.
The Kermit is the car you aren’t crazy about the total looks of it, but you can’t stop smiling while driving it. I think I would crack a grin every time I saw it on my wrist.
I think Oris should slow down on rolling out every watch with their own inhouse movement, using the new mvmnt means higher prices, higher prices means less customers and less appeal. Moving upmarket needs a better strategy than making the same old watches with a new mvmnt and double the price, they shoud make more interesting watches, way more interesting than their current catalog.
Cookie 🍪 Monster in blue would have been better 🤔
Beaker in orange. As the power meter fills up beaker’s neck gets longer
Was thinking that might be next... would look cool
That would be a compelling shade of blue
And a miss piggy in 36mm
Next model to follow!

I bought a Kermit and got it 1 week after it’s launch at Watches & Wonders. It just makes me smile and that green really does “pop” in the sunshine
How is your Kermit holding up? Do you where it daily? Do you still like it now that the honeymoon is over?
That Kermit is so ridiculous and I love it. I wouldn't buy it unless I lived a life where that kind of money was chump change but I sure hope some people do. I love how fun it is and keep us in place that most watches are not necessary the way collectors keep and wear them. It's important to not take things so seriously all the time.
If you had that sort of money you wouldn't ever bother spending it on this.
Need more Muppets

I like the purple aquis they released the other week. That was really nice. Not the diamond crusted one, the limited edition one with a grey bezel.
The Kermit is genius love it, smiled the first time i saw it....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Looking forward to the Mark XX review. That watch is a strap monster.
Oris is killing it 100% , those in-house calibers are awesome! And the Altimeter is just sex on the wrist... I will be adding one at some point. Absolutely love it!
Lots of issues with the new movement. Do your research before purchase.
@@NeoWahNah loads of issues with the Cal 400? Not heard much in the way of problems to be honest.
@GzmPix I almost bought the Colson but decided against it based off my research. Just a heads up.

A Kermit Oris, Spiderman AP…it’s just waiting for a Finding Nemo Nautilus PP to really make the watchworld less serious 😂

I saw the Kermit watch in a Window with Kermit in the date window and it did make me smile.
Oris should create a whole Muppet line. Miss Piggy watch, Count von Count watch, etc...
Hi Adrian I'v tried the kermit on and really like it. Oris are a great brand.

I’ve got the same combo: blue Mark XX on a yellow B&J strap and I’m lovin’ it!
I have the Kermit and love it! I have been wearing on my green single pass B&J strap. It’s fun!
Amazing Oris😊🎉
Take a drink every time Adrian lifts that mug as though he's going to drink and then doesn't drink!

The new purple aquis is nice!
The 400 movement is a hit or miss thing big time.. I was stuck with 2 malfunctioning ones back to back on the Aquis.. Oris haven't done their due diligence in this regard
The Kermit is a fun idea. However not a fan of the pro pilot and even with their movement, pushing £4k is too much
Will you be getting hands on with the new aquis small second date, 45mm I think so would be good to see it compared to the 41.5mm looks like another good colour and design.
Kermit has a very clean dial and the case looks great 👍 😊
I love the videos. I was hoping that maybe you would discuss the Oris Aquis 400 2023 Hölstein, but maybe that’s just because I am so excited about it.
Like everything about the Pro Pilot X except the flatness of the dial. If it had some applied indicies with good lume, it would be even better!
Glad you enjoyed the snowboarding 😂
Love snowboarding. Just a shame the Oris trips aren’t longer. Half a day is just a tease.
What about the purple aquis with no date?
Man I need to see that yellow/orange strap on the white face Hamilton khaki. I’m trying to find one of your straps to compliment it. I have the 42mm version.

Oris is really one of the coolest brands out there!
Are you planning on releasing a Bond NATO in 19mm for the new Explorer?
Out of those selections it would have to be the Kermit! though the other two are rather nice.
Did you purposely make your old intro music sound like ‘killing in the name’ by Rage Against the Machine?
Agree with you on the incongruence of Kermit + the futuristic TI watch. I like the idea, just not the pairing.

They are the fun in an industry that takes itself far to seriously
Omg I’d love a pink ms piggy one!
When I saw it my projectile vomit was the same color.
def need to work on the strap plug game. getting rusty , get some practice in
Cracking vid🫡. Are you getting and black ribbed nylon watch straps in anytime soon? (Feel the word watch is important when asking that question….)
I really like the Kermit, and in fact i have just ordered a new Samsung S23 Ultra in the same colour...lol love it
what about the hand wound Oris pointer with 473movement....??
I love Oris a lot and own a few pieces but lately a lot of their pieces are grossly overpriced IMHO.
Right on, ORIS!!
Waiting for Oris Miss Piggy Propilot X next. Anytime now Oris. Anytime.
I love that Oris dunked on Rolex/Rolex fans a bit with an actual Kermit.

Agreed and I think this little watch will gain more and more excitement for Otis as time goes on.
I think it's really cool, it's not my cup of tea but it's some good tea
So are they actually planning to release anything this year?
You know whats better than kermit, count dracula collab counting time 😂
I’d buy an Oscar the Grouch day date where Oscar is Monday.
nice strat jope its not just for decor
On this video by Adrian Barker, we have three firsts!
The Diamond one is cool 👌🏽. Others are meh….
Like em all
Good content. Like oris
Never really took interest in Oris watches… prices are higher than I expected. Think I would buy a Tudor over an Oris.
As an FYI. The Muppets are Jim Henson not Disney
Doesn't matter to him... because it's not rolex
Thanks for the video. Underlined that Oris as a brand does not appeal to me. No particular reason, just my subjective choice.
Odd the pro pilot Altimeter can't go higher than Everest.
Also, when does the NTTD nato go back in stock?
Cute watch. I thought maybe it'd cost around $1500. Nope. Was shocked at the price. Idk.
Cap. Boring is my watch spirit guide for sure!
Your straps are amazing
Thanks a lot Craig.
Got hands on with all three, the Altimeter is an awesome piece, total instrument 🦾
the only tag i am interested in is Monaco Gulf, the rest are way over priced.
If the pro pilot has a great case but the dial color ruins it for me.
The Kermit is the car you aren’t crazy about the total looks of it, but you can’t stop smiling while driving it. I think I would crack a grin every time I saw it on my wrist.

I love that shade of green. But can’t get into Kermit. Get rid of Kermit, offer it in stainless for $2k - would seriously consider.
I love the case and bracelet styling of the pro pilot x, but not a fan of the colours. Now a vintage yellow dial………….
Nice
Best oris release of all time is the babelfish...!
Nothing here for me. I can't imagine where I would wear the Kermit. I'll stick with my 36mm Big crown pointer date.
Maybe they will come out with a “Pepsi” gmt that’s actually connected to the company, or a “Batman” lol…Watch out nicked named Rolexes
I’d buy the green pro pilot if it was just the green pro pilot without the muppets collaboration ruining it. So frustrating.
Rolex made pink fashionable so why not a Miss Piggy. I'm waiting for the Gonzo, personally.......
