I really have to mention this since every single time this DLC is talked about, it's assumed that you have to tell the Brotherhood/Institute in a certain period of time. You don't. You can resolve every problem on that Island, search every square inch of it, send Kasumi back... EVERYTHING! And you can still tell the Brotherhood/Institute. There is no timetable, you can do it literally whenever you want, you don't have to cut the DLC short unless that's what you want to do. How does nobody know this??
@@Ricardo_Rick Nope, I just checked, I hadn't played Fallout 4 in years, and I have a save where I still have the Nuclear Launch Key and FH's main quest was marked as finished, went to the Nucleus and couldn't engage in dialogue with fake Tektus since he had already rewarded me before but I was able to insert the launch key and blow up The Nucleus (the CoA all became hostile once I inserted the key), but I'm sure in previous saves I could give the key to Tektus and convince him to explode the whole place.
DiMa is something of a necessary evil in the world where evil is no longer a question, but a path with good intention. I can see why he would replace tectus, but also why I can see DiMa crime against the murder of Captain Avery. To be honest, it's like all the answer to far harbor is partial.
The perk for #2 sounds awesome, I always love perks that are just straight up buffs rather then any of that "when your health falls below 25%" trash. Most of the time my health doesn't even see 50% and I'm using a Stimpak. Only way my health gets that low is if I'm gambling some kind of risky move. But ultimately I go for option 1 to keep as many traders and stores open as possible so I have more places to go stock up on ammo.
Just did what I think is the best. Replacing the Tektus and getting Kasumi home as that was my only goal. Once she was home. I went and spoke to the brotherhood of Steel guy who came to the island after talking to him. And came back to destroy Dima and the synths. Bringing peace to the two warring factions and getting rid of a robot who’s got too much control over the lives of others
I feel like dima isnt actually dead , remember, they talk about how his memories are stored on hard drives... Meaning the body might be destroyed but all his memories are saved somewhere. Its not over
I did the most evil ending because my friend told me it would be fine, I destroyed the Children of Atom, Acadia, and Far harbor. I would not recommend this as your content and enjoyment is only about an hour long and you beat it super fast (P.S. I only learned there was more content from this video which made me want to replay it)
That sarcastic option when talking to nick got me dead ashhh 😭😭😭😭😭 but imo Dima has to die that or you can replace tekis but tell the doctor about Avery I love far harbor because this whole situation just doesn’t feel like there is a right choice or a best outcome it’s mainly just whichever one you can live with
The best outcome for Far Harbor would be Children erased, DiMA dismantled but the rest of Acadia left alone, the settlement of Far Harbor left as an independent town. Ideally Far Harbor would discreetly send any and all synths on to Acadia.
As soon as I got the launch code for the nucleus, I immediately went and destroyed the children. Then, after a little while of helping Far Harbor, I got Dima to face the consequences of his crimes. Felt this was the best thing to do for the synths of arcadia and the people of far harbor to live on the island and develop it further
I could not bring myself to do any ending where I had to kill poor misguided Kasumi. On a side note as a fellow alcoholic it was nice that you did give Old Longfellow a bottle; thank you for that.
The way i handeled Far Harbour was that i pretty much sided with the harbour people and made sure that DiMa answered for his crimes, but made sure i did all the quests for far harbour first and convinced them not to attack arcadia then made sure the girl that went missing went back home , since she isn't a synth... Then the best thing to do after that is inform the BoS about Arcadia and let them clean house - Ad Victoriam o7
I'd say making dima confess and letting Acadia stay then destroying the neculs is the best ending because if dima get control over everyone it doesn't sit right with me
You are not going to beleive this but a day ago I was looking for a video like this since ive only played through farharbor maybe once or twice and couldnt remember what the endings were or which would be the best for roleplaying my different characters.
Far Harbor was a really well constructed DLC. I struggled mightily for a while kicking off the bloodshed events until I played it carefully by completing radiant quests while setting up some far flung Minutemen settlements using the Sim Settlement 2 mod which I highly recommend. Ultimately - the peaceful solution while sparing the High Confessor to flee was the one that felt optimal to me. Yes DiMa gets away with his horrid crime but it at least brings stability to a volatile situation with the minimum of bloodshed. I guess I’m a goody two shoes willing to forgive DiMA having come to see him as a flawed sentient being. As such I didn’t want to see him die despite his shady practices. He was trying to ensure the three factions could make a go of it in Far Harbor as a place accepting to various religions and beliefs.
Got stuck with a depressed faraday and two quests I couldn’t complete so definitely becareful to make sure you finished Dima’s annoying memory quest or you’ll be stuck with it
Teddy Wright: “whatever you do, dont tell Alan, there will be a whole lotta blood” Also Teddy: quickscopes Brooks and bashes his skull in 💀 he does this every playthrough hes always the one who kills Brooks
@SamBram The rise of complex, ambiguous moral decisions in modern video games, television and movies are one of the best things about our culture. The reason is simple: the acceptance of their existence is one thing, however embracing those decisions in our escapist fantasies, that's a level of intellectual maturity that's downright hope-inspiring. We collectively no longer require black and white moral frameworks to enjoy art. I think that's pretty nifty. You seem to appreciate that as well, just as an observation of your commentary in many of your videos. That's the real reason I'm subbed to you. You look beyond the nuts and bolts of a game and go right for the heart of what the devs are putting out there for us to digest. I value that.
So yesterday I convinced Tektus to leave the island then after completing the quest I went back to the Nucleous and killed him just to check if he was a synth, to my surprise he was not.
I always want to try and keep the peace. The number 1 ending is the one I got. I hated replacing the leader of the Children of Atom, but it seemed the best way to keep the peace. I didn't kill the leader, though, I told him to run away. And I did tell Avery the truth about being a synth.
My favorite is turning the island into a nature preserve, at least as close as the spawn mechanics allows. Sadly never figured out a good way to get Nakano out of the area before doing so.
you missed the "caps ending" (spoilers) 1.(optional) complete any side quest you dont want to be gone forever 2. get launch key 3. complete reformation and replace tektus (1500 caps). Do not tell anyone in Far harbor about avery 4. During synth tektus speech blow up the nuclues 5. fast travel to far harbor 6. the "children of atom made peace with us" speech from avery will happen and she will give you 1500 caps 7. Immediately talk to Allen and he will thank you for killing the children of atom and he will give you 1600 caps 8. (optional) wipe out Acadia and sell their stuff back to people of Far Harbor. Free plasma gun this way too
I think once you agree to keep DiMA's secret he takes all the evidence so you can't then ask him to confess. As for the nucleus, I think the key gets taken too but I'm less certain on that one
19:40 When I got here on my first playthrough. I immediately killed everyone at the door, rushed inside. And fought the entire cult, raiding them for loot. I had no sympathy for them
My answer depends on whether the Children of Atom are really up to something or not. If they are actually right (the Fallout univetse is crazy enough for that to be canon) I would obviously side with them.
I still don’t know which is the best choice? Iv had the game and DLC since release and still don’t know which route to go down cos i dont want to F it up😭
I went for the last ending on my first run because i was afraid that forcing dima to confess might put acadia at risk from the people of far habor for his own crime. Definitely appreciated the moral grey areas this dlc offered as well as the chaos you could get in to as well. If all of fallout 4 was structured in this way i think it wouldve been more appreciated in hindsight
I chose for confssing DiMA and then let the Brotherhood know about Far Harbor. But everyone should get every unique weapon/armor from vendors in Arcadia.
Destroy Nucleus by convincing them to launch the missile. Keep Acadia alive, and Far Harbor positive towards Acadia. Edit. One ending I replaced Tectus with the synth, convinced him to go away willingly, peace between the three factions, DiMA still alive because I kept my mouth shut about her being a replacement. -With the nuclear launch key, nobody else can destroy Nucleus. -With the evidence taken away, her true identity is kept safe. -With the code in the players possession, the windmills won’t get shut down. There won’t be a repeat, so things won’t escalate.
I feel like it may be cold and calculating to go with that final option, but considering our character was in the military and the whole narrative is “war never changes.” That the final option is the best. In a sense, the sole survivor changed war here. Yeah, it’s messed up to play god with the synths and it kinda mirrors what the institute does, but we didn’t the end of stopping more death and actually meaning it. Not using it as a mask to gain more power.
The first time I played Far Harbor I massacred the Children of Atom. This time I did two saves: one where I went full dark mode and numbed them, stormed Arcadia with Allen Lee and massacred everyone and then turned the fog condensers off for Far Harbor. Longfellow immediately turned hostile so I gunned him down. The other save I spared everyone. I don’t like that you can’t kill Allen after you tell him that Avery is a synth nor can you kill Brooks without the town turning hostile.
I did Option #2 before watching this video. Feels more sustainable and I couldn't stomach Dima's hypocrisy any longer. I'm pretty occupied with settlement building now. Linking supply lines with the Commonwealth is makes it a lot easier.
If you use guns, pack and operators. If you use melee, pack and disciples. Pack damage resistance is great no matter what, and melee damage boost for melee characters Disciples- AP regained on melee kill is a great blitz melee boost, also instigating disciples blade is insanely strong. Operators- 20% damage boost to silenced weapons. Most ballistic weapons can be silenced for the damage boost.
Weirdly enough, siding with Acadia is quite perfect for a science minded Institute playthrough. DiMa is a perfect example of control through manipulation, the ends justify the means in the "promise" of a better future. Perfect for my scientist playthrough. (Edit) Grammar.
I told Avery she was a synth and started telling Allen and the doctor, even had him do the DNA test. So now at least 2 people know for sure and Allen will have suspicions about her identity. And then had Dima turn himself in. Now I'm not sure what to do with the other 2 factions and kinda want to destroy everyone... 🤔
Having the children blow themselves up and Dima turning himself in, sounds and seems very poetic. Very Shakespeare kind of ending honestly. I dig that ending pf choice!
Children of atom but blown up soon as I had the key. Then dima and the other Abominations got destroyed so I could get that sweet +2 luck rifle. No regrets.
What I did was collect the Lauch key and not give it to either Dima or Children of Atom. I confronted Dima about murdering caption Avery and replacing her with a synth. Told Dima to turn himself in to the people of Far Harbour(which I sided with them) but I wanted to make sure Dima paid for his murder so I had him executed. Made sure to say before he got executed that Arcadia is not to blame for what happned and needs to be left alone and learn how to coexist with the synths. All the while, since I still have the Lauch code I can still go to The Nucleus and kill the children of Atom. Also made sure to convince Kasumi she is not a synth and to return home. Personally, I think I got the best ending possible.
Far Harbor...... New good settlement location, with vim soda and hermit crab. Sadly only one companion, I want Mariner become another. And the ending...... just make sure everything won't get worse is okay.
TIP FOR FIRST TIME FAR HARBOR PLAYERS! If you’re at the quest where you and the mariner are about to go on a boat and captain Avery is there talking, make a hard save, talk with Avery, finish all her dialogue, and wait for her to walk away from the dock. Finish the quest and find Avery in the town, if she is not there, reload and try something else. I played vanilla with no mods because I really want to 100% this game. I really liked this dlc on console at first but the captain Avery despawn bug really took the wind out of my sails since if she is not there then the last missions involving far harbor surviving is bugged and locked off. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.
I think that DiMa is the embodiment of the phrase "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions". In his efforts to keep peace, he commits acts of evil. Like replacing Avery with a synth.
Replace Tectus to ensure peace across the island to get the best ending, then come back later with the Institute and take down Arcadia. Use the key in the Nucleus on your way back just for good measure. The good ending is still locked in, the Children of Atom won't be a problem, and the Institute's rogue hardware is all cleaned up.
I won't be doing any of these. First, I despised the cube quest inside Dima's mind and did my first ever console command to skip it. So some perks and armor are not disclosed, and there's no sign of the Dimond city detective. Next I killed all the children of Atom I found and left. Never found Avery's grave. I guess i can find it when I see the Vim factory. Will be interesting to see how al this changes the outcome.
The Children lean more evil than the people in Far Harbor, but I kind of sympathize with them. They found an island that has this radioactive fog that most of them can live in with little to no issue. Some suffer a bit worse than others. One could argue they're better suited to claim the island because of this. On the other hand, I'm not sure they deserve it. It wouldn't be hard for them to live there peacefully if they wanted to, but they chose violence, because the people who were there before don't want to leave.
Is it possible to complete any of these following endings: Keep DiMA’s secret, Destroy the Nucleus and Reformation before doing more quests for the Far Harbor town folks? I would like to complete the main quest where I help Kasumi Nakano first. Then decide the ending. After all that. I’d like to do whatever quest I can find in Far Harbor. I’m the kind of gamer who prefers to finish the main quests first and then do the other quests after.
I’ve just thought of something. Isn’t it technically possible to first, get Allen to destroy Acadia, then shut off the turbines and watch Far Harbor die and finally, end the children of atom by convincing them to get atomized? It’s the most twisted ending I could think, because you, the player, don’t even just kill everyone yourself. No. You manipulate events in such a way to cause total annihilation on the island. I’ll definitely see if this is possible in my latest play through
HEY REALLY CURIOUS! But what is that awesome gear you’re wearing and that gas mask in time stamp 4:20 of the video? Looks really cool and I’ve never seen it in game, thanks
Some misstakes but overall wuite good Best outcome for people that don't like loose ends. Destroy the Nukleus, destroy Far Harbor, Wipe out Arcadia with your favorite faction, destroy that faction.
I blew up the nucleus , destroyed the town so dima could enjoy controlling nobody . But still that wasn't enough cause I went and told the institute about Dima so they put together a team and we attacked Acadia . So now everyone is gone
in my play through Dima wants me to convince Tekkus that Martin is coming back to the nucleus. I'm supposed to meet him in private and kill him or convince him to run off. I don't like the COA and I would rather see the synths and Far Harbor get along. I fail the talk to Tekkus about the nuclear key though. I guess there's no way around it
I find the most evil ending is to bring kazumi back and telling her parents that she is a synth. Then going back to far harbor and make the BoS or Institute ending.
Honestly I couldn’t care about the morality of any of the game. I just pick whatever gives me the best perks/equipment. Except with the main game cause I like having the railroad and the bos still being alive.
The one girpe I had with Far Harbour was that I wanted to tell Dima that it doesn't matter if I am a Synth or not. And that as long as we act sapient we are all people.
The Institute might be proud of how manipulative DiMa is.

There is no timetable, you can do it literally whenever you want, you don't have to cut the DLC short unless that's what you want to do. How does nobody know this??
If you do the "peaceful ending" you can later convince the Tektus synth to explode The Nucleus too 🤣
This is what I was hoping for!
you can't tho, at that point DIMA will have taken your detonation key
@@Ricardo_Rick I'm pretty sure I did it, dunno if I got the key after the main quest tho, DiMA was still pissed afterwards.
@@610Hobbies it might be a bug, i mean, after talking to SIMA and agreeing to help him he usually takes both the key and the codes iirc
@@Ricardo_Rick Nope, I just checked, I hadn't played Fallout 4 in years, and I have a save where I still have the Nuclear Launch Key and FH's main quest was marked as finished, went to the Nucleus and couldn't engage in dialogue with fake Tektus since he had already rewarded me before but I was able to insert the launch key and blow up The Nucleus (the CoA all became hostile once I inserted the key), but I'm sure in previous saves I could give the key to Tektus and convince him to explode the whole place.
as a fallout fan before the show i am happy to see a lot of people uploading fallout videos
Dang, wish I did that for my BoS character, but I jumped the gun. It also locked out the option of exposing Avery.
I feel like dima isnt actually dead , remember, they talk about how his memories are stored on hard drives... Meaning the body might be destroyed but all his memories are saved somewhere. Its not over
Literally, they could use a synth body to insert dima mind like what we did with curie too.
I did the most evil ending because my friend told me it would be fine, I destroyed the Children of Atom, Acadia, and Far harbor. I would not recommend this as your content and enjoyment is only about an hour long and you beat it super fast
(P.S. I only learned there was more content from this video which made me want to replay it)
While DiMa was a bit pretentious, he was ultimately right in the end. Collateral damage is always part of war, and as we know...war never changes.
Civilisation 6 reference?
That sarcastic option when talking to nick got me dead ashhh 😭😭😭😭😭 but imo Dima has to die that or you can replace tekis but tell the doctor about Avery I love far harbor because this whole situation just doesn’t feel like there is a right choice or a best outcome it’s mainly just whichever one you can live with
Looks like my favorite Cyberpunk Creator is touching into my favorite series. Can’t wait to see more!
love the vids, came for cyberpunk originally. But am glad to see you branch off so you can still make vids
If i could get my money back from CP2077 i would, stupid change in skill trees
Cap. Skill trees are so much better now compared to launch. The whole game is just better really.@@marcusbrown3880
Then the best thing to do after that is inform the BoS about Arcadia and let them clean house - Ad Victoriam o7
o7
Tbh, this dlc story is better than the main story
Got stuck with a depressed faraday and two quests I couldn’t complete so definitely becareful to make sure you finished Dima’s annoying memory quest or you’ll be stuck with it
Teddy Wright: “whatever you do, dont tell Alan, there will be a whole lotta blood”
Also Teddy: quickscopes Brooks and bashes his skull in 💀 he does this every playthrough hes always the one who kills Brooks
Finished Far Harbor last night got recommended this video the next day
So yesterday I convinced Tektus to leave the island then after completing the quest I went back to the Nucleous and killed him just to check if he was a synth, to my surprise he was not.
You explained it so well. Your wording is excellent, Ty for the video.
It’s kinda crazy that it’s still people playing this game lol 😂 I love it glad I’m not alone
I always want to try and keep the peace. The number 1 ending is the one I got. I hated replacing the leader of the Children of Atom, but it seemed the best way to keep the peace. I didn't kill the leader, though, I told him to run away. And I did tell Avery the truth about being a synth.
Do one for the nuka world dlc next! even if there's around only 2 lol
My favorite is turning the island into a nature preserve, at least as close as the spawn mechanics allows. Sadly never figured out a good way to get Nakano out of the area before doing so.
you missed the "caps ending" (spoilers)
1.(optional) complete any side quest you dont want to be gone forever
2. get launch key
3. complete reformation and replace tektus (1500 caps). Do not tell anyone in Far harbor about avery
4. During synth tektus speech blow up the nuclues
5. fast travel to far harbor
6. the "children of atom made peace with us" speech from avery will happen and she will give you 1500 caps
7. Immediately talk to Allen and he will thank you for killing the children of atom and he will give you 1600 caps
8. (optional) wipe out Acadia and sell their stuff back to people of Far Harbor. Free plasma gun this way too
9:32 peak Nate the Rake right there. Probably pulled that from his time in canada too
Honestly I think Nate/Nora’s lack of memory is a side effect of the prolonged freezing.
Can you do all 3 of the last ones you showed? Replace tektus then make Dima confess then blow up nucleus? I’m trynna get as many perks lol
I think once you agree to keep DiMA's secret he takes all the evidence so you can't then ask him to confess. As for the nucleus, I think the key gets taken too but I'm less certain on that one
@@SamBram ok thank you
19:40 When I got here on my first playthrough.
Iv had the game and DLC since release and still don’t know which route to go down cos i dont want to F it up😭
I destroyed Atom and acadia and sided with far harbor can i still destroy far harbor too? in the same save
If an NPC has no component, they are not a synth. Objective fact. No component, means Kasumi is a just misguided girl that Dima took advantage of.
Can you discuss nukaworld after this. And since there’s really only 2 endings instead discuss which gangs you should side with
If you use guns, pack and operators. If you use melee, pack and disciples.
Pack damage resistance is great no matter what, and melee damage boost for melee characters
Disciples- AP regained on melee kill is a great blitz melee boost, also instigating disciples blade is insanely strong.
I’m American, and I just want to say that definitively, The accents of the U.K triumph over ours. Your voice adds to your delivery as well!
No it doesn't it's just bias based on media, the same reason Indians accent sound so silly.
He might not be a synth but definitely has some hardware in his eyeballs, hence the v.a.t.s.
Having the children blow themselves up and Dima turning himself in, sounds and seems very poetic. Very Shakespeare kind of ending honestly. I dig that ending pf choice!
Sam!!! Where you been at man!?
I played out all possible endings and ended up sticking with the children of atom.
GLORY TO ATOM
Children of atom but blown up soon as I had the key. Then dima and the other Abominations got destroyed so I could get that sweet +2 luck rifle. No regrets.
I love ending 3 when side quests really affect the ending
Amazing video!!
That’s why it’s always good to watch these first
The Children lean more evil than the people in Far Harbor, but I kind of sympathize with them.
I always enjoy wiping out all three factions on Far Harbor
16:02 bold words from a guy who talks like a noir detective and quotes edgar allan poe
My favorute ending is when Dima confesses bit Acadia gets spared and the Nucleus is convinced to destroy itself
I 100% agree with the the combined 2 & 3 ending. The arguably evil all die, leaving the peaceful to thrive together.
I believe that is the marine armor
@@christianenglert1432 nice thanks man!
9:34 I love the "life is a circus and i am the clown" mentality that this dialogue provides
Some misstakes but overall wuite good
Best outcome for people that don't like loose ends. Destroy the Nukleus, destroy Far Harbor, Wipe out Arcadia with your favorite faction, destroy that faction.
telling the brotherhood about Acadia is the best ending imo
I blew up the nucleus , destroyed the town so dima could enjoy controlling nobody . But still that wasn't enough cause I went and told the institute about Dima so they put together a team and we attacked Acadia . So now everyone is gone
16:47 ooooh you owned him really hard right there 😎
in my play through Dima wants me to convince Tekkus that Martin is coming back to the nucleus.
Didn't know there was a "Fuck it, kill everyone" option. Gonna do that my next playthrough.
But they aren’t people they were created and thus are lesser than.
