Robby, I was hoping you would bring some car hoods and show Dave Sparks your trick. Pretty soon you will have the experience to tackle some larger snow recovery jobs.
Dave, a little trick learned over 30yrs of working on hiway trucks and large industrial engines.. Pull your air filter out so you have clear access to the intake and use preferably an oxy acetylene torch, adjust to a large neutral flame and use it to preheat intake air.. Don't do it if some rocket scientist has use starting fluid first, unless they want to lose eyebrows and a lot of hair...lol.. Diesel engines only....
seen a lot of the snow recoverys videos, one thing struck me as we here i Norway always have snow. Why do not all of your equitment have a el. heater installed in the engine block ? that way you just set out a smal honda agregat for some houers, and everything starts right up. No cange for damage to the engine aider (?) Well happy recovery on things to come..
Wow, snowcats aren't doing so well in this epic snowfall. Great to see Robbie Layton and Hillbilly lending a hand, those guys are great, hard workers too. Robbie's right we do like his content. Epic recovery guys. 🙂👍
On paper that might seem like a good idea, but they are way too heavy to be in soft snow. You couldn't reasonably get enough surface area underneath it to support the 50,000ish pounds that they weigh.
Hello Heavy D crew, i always watch your videos. And my one question for your crew and you is there a day or time when you have a easy day and things go as plan??? And, please have more videos with your beautiful wife and your mini me's. Give my best to your awesome crew. Being home and bed bound 24-7 the world needs more people like yourselves. Thank you for always making me smile and making my day.
Great video that brought back some memories. I guess I could have waited until the video was over before putting in my 2 cents! lived in Fairbanks Alaska where it got down to below 82 F. Had to do what your doing a dozen times. Replace the Batteries and use a Generator to power no less than 2 diesel space heater preferably 3, melt all the snow and then use the space heaters to heat up the motor, crankcase oil, etc. Put the track back on and drive it out or drive it to the tow vehicle, then take the track off and load it up! Done it plenty of times and made some good $$ doing it.
Spending hundreds and hundreds of time and fuel to help other peoples equipment your team is the best and Alan knows his stuff when it comes to mechanics you also have the best media team audio and video and editing you guys are amazing thank you for the show
I love the old Fire Engine Turned Rollback as an old EMT/Fire/EMS Dispatcher Our motto: We Would Rather have it and Not Need it Then Need it and Not Have It...Would love to see you build a POD/Pallet system to organize Your Chains Tie Downs, Airbags System, Cribbing,YankEm Ropes Ect. I imagine a Palletized unit with a Fuels/Fluids Section, Aux. Generator, portable lights maybe a light Tower, Restroom Section I could even see a Base Camp Pod Tents,Sleeping Bags in concert with the New Mixer Truck Tour Crawler....the build would be awesome, and the benefits amazing
Hay guys well done with the recovery also welcome back to the show Robby and crew yous bring a little more joy to the boys when yous can all have a smile on your faces after and during the recovery's loved it well done on not breaking anything too lol can't wait for the next one 👍🤪
Here's a suggestion when you have the wrenches. Just put a big hollow iron bar for leverage. I'm assuming you didn't have that in your tool chest. I hope you don't mind the comment. I always enjoy the recoveries. I love your content. And the good you do. Bless you all.
Once again, a great watch, a great team, even though we all know you will be successful in rescuing trapped vehicles, it's always interesting and worthy of my time
Heavy D’s got some nice stuff, and it was an interesting recovery. It was nice seeing Robby and Hillbilly on the scene. Bravo everyone and hope you all stay safe.
Hi guys how are you doing? I really enjoy watching you team up with Matt's off Road for that recovery in the mountains. I wanted to know if there are any updates on finding Dylan's body. I pray every night for his mom and dad's, and can't imagine the pain and anguish they're going through, not knowing. I also wanted to say Thank you to all of your team for helping all this families, that don't have the financial means of looking for their love ones. From the bottom of my heart, and I'm sure Soo many other viewers feel the same way. May God always continue to bless you and protect each and everyone of you and your families.
Just a suggestion for the Snow and the like. How about buying a decent sized skid steer with a Snow blower attachment, A winch attachment and a rubber blade with forklifts. Would be super useful and for clearing snow much faster.
Besides bending the corner of his flat bed and the light box as well on the right side. Or absolutely filling customer equipment with starting fluid. Don’t get me wrong it’s all hard unpredictable work but I see a lot of no nos
Man makes me wish I was still and can be a tow rig operator I have always thought that was the best part of working as a mechanic for the company I used to work for but haven't been able to work for few years now shiii sux also had good times working as mechanic/tow truck operator
What I recommend doing for your heavier diesel recovery vehicles is building an additional building for them and keeping them heated. I spent 2 years at a firehouse in the northern Midwest and we always kept the vehicles in warm buildings, otherwise they wouldn't start up for about 15-20 minutes
It was indeed a “Wizard” day. Yet another great recovery guys, so entertaining to watch. It’s awesome how eager Robby and his crew are. Hans, I think Alan has at least 100 times the brain cells you do so it’s a good thing you didn’t say anything! Keep on keeping on doing the wonderful jobs you do! God bless you all and keep you safe ❤️🙏
Hello from Siesta Key Florida 62 degrees this morning with a high of 82 today 2-10-23 Snow and cold makes everything 10 times as hard to do. Hopefully all the snow will help fill the lakes some.
Jacksonville area here. I love the snow, but don't miss it a bit. When younger, I had my share of working in, and digging stuff outa the snow. Dave and his crew and friends do one heck of a good job. Tough, demanding, hard work. Thanks to these guys, entertaining. I salute them.
It's been pretty crazy here on the east coast also. We have the coldest temperature every recorded, as well as the warmest January. We also got 1 years average snowfall in 5 days. Bizarre! Mrs Tizzo and i would very much like to interview you for our channel or come on a recovery (or more than anything in the world a ride in the blackhawk).
Another great video Dave. I don't know why but I love snow cat recoveries they really intrigue me. Once again I love your team, everyone's chill. Congrats.
Between 1-11/16” and 1-7/8”, is 1-3/4” and 1-13/16. The brake release on the boom lift has to be unbolted and the nipple unturned in and then tighten back down. In the case of that one either a piece of flat bar or larger washer would help for a temporary repair.
As an Alaskan who's the part of a trail committee. I can concur. The worst thing on earth is a dead snowcat. When you're not spoiled with heavy equipment, it's a nightmare. Edit: those green shovels are the best ones you can get hands down. Everybody I know who lives rural owns one.
Old fashioned coal shovels were common place when I was a kid. They use to come in a variety of sizes all made of heavy and quite durable steel. I believe Grainger Supply has them in steel in a variety of sizes. For snow the short handle makes the ones with the larger heads more controllable. Some will call them Scoop Shovels or Grain Shovels. The better ones can cost upwards of $100. I use to also carry a small 3.5 hp snow thrower (not a blower) in my W600 4X4 plow truck. Little gear redux Briggs gas engine with a spiked thrower wheel sticking out the front like a Billy Goat lawn blower. Cogged metal wheels that gripped pretty good, light weight, simple and inexpensive. Sure beat shoveling by hand in an emergency during the pitch of night while a Nor-Easter was still blowing. Best!
Thanks for the vid's guys real good watching. One thing i have noticed is the way you use your shackles. For me it offen looks like you use them the wrong why around when you have more than one sling in them.
heavy D and crew great videos and recoveries keep up the great work and your abilities to help people in needs and all of you working together...keep making great videos thank you for helping others...👍👍👍
*has moved excavators and bulldozers buried to the cab* "This is a hard thing to move" This man can do anything, with his team. I'm not even close to being worried. But i AM entertained. Edit: oh! Robby is there too! Well, there you go. They barely had the time to get hungry. Hell of a team.
Nice to see the winter snow covered mountains. A nice recovery without too much difficulty.. No snow in the snow belt of Northeastern Ohio this year. I need to be ripping on a sled to fix my backaches.
You guys are awesome. The best people for the job HeavyD and his contegous smile, Diesel Dave the hardest worker with a humorus ethic, and Alan the wizard the had of knowledge. and a wonderful support team. What can't you guys do?
Iv been subscribed to robby when they started to build the golden Nugget I'm so glad I did they are awesome down to earth guys I love their dad jokes segment it's so wholesome
I can’t believe how much snow y’all have over there! Here in British Columbia so far this winter hasn’t done much, heck we’re already seeing little teasers of spring weather.
Great job guys. I have finally caught up and watched all of your videos. It has been cool to see how the production value has gotten progressively better.
I love the snow so much and sometimes even miss it. However, today in South Carolina, it was in the mid to high 60's. Yesterday, 72. Again, sometimes I miss the snow ;) Great video, nice to see you using the local talent.
every time i watch one of your videos the first thing i wanna do is watch another one. great content, humor, camaraderie and all around adventure. love all you guys, keep up the good work guys.
Allen is not afraid to work usually he is the first guy to get his hands dirty. And I've never heard him complaining about having to work in the snow rain 100-degree days he gets It done ✔️ ✔️
Still hoping to see more of Dave's monster tracked recovery vehicle. The swamp machine that they tested by driving over small trees and through the bug infested swamp where Diesel Dave was getting covered with the bugs.
Удивительные ребята при наличии такой техники, потратить так много времени на эвакуацию непрофессионально. Но вот настроение в группе на позитиве и это здорово.
Great Video Dave!! There was something Really kool bout this video. The was it was videotaped , coupled with the music…..it was a Feel good video to me. When I saw Hillbilly, I said to myself “ Hey, I know that face, then I saw Robby. Great to see the collaboration between the two channels, HeavyD and Robby Layton. Love Hans and Alan. 🤙😎
Robby and the gang are genuine peeps! Love his and your content! Can't wait to see more of you guys working together! Btw Dave, y'all are hard on equipment! 😉❤️
Whats wierd is I webt to Moab last yr twice and didn't pic snow except on mts. And we got no snow in Cleveland this yr , usually we get smoked off lake erie..absolutely beautiful state you have we want to move there ...its our goal
Didn't hear you say you'd be working with Robby and Hillbilly. Good to see them again here. I am subscribed to their channel just good see you all working together.
Thanks again for letting us come and hang out. Let us know anytime you ever need help. We are always ready to go on an awesome recovery!!
Thanks again man! Always a great time when you’re around
Both of your channels are kick a$$😎
love out of west Ga. wish it snowed here
I was so confused at first when out of nowhere they ask hillbilly how long he thinks its gonna take. Really liking the collabs with Robbys crew
Robby, I was hoping you would bring some car hoods and show Dave Sparks your trick. Pretty soon you will have the experience to tackle some larger snow recovery jobs.

Alen I'm glad someone like HD finely saw how amazing you are, God bless you brother.
You truly are a inspiration to all. The World would be such a better place if there was more people like you helping others, Keep it up
Wow, snowcats aren't doing so well in this epic snowfall.
Great to see Robbie Layton and Hillbilly lending a hand, those guys are great, hard workers too. Robbie's right we do like his content.
Epic recovery guys. 🙂👍
As someone not living or seen snow in real life, this looks like a beautiful part of the world. (3:48)
Snow is beautiful to look at, but once you try to do anything in the snow you grow tired of it fast lol.
It's awesome to see Robby and his crew helped out !!!! Seems lately all the you tubers have been coming together at one point or another !!!!!
I think it’s awesome that you’re promoting Robby’s channel.been watching his channel since day one 👍👍
Dave definitely needs a tracked rotator for next season, massive boom.
I just asked where the rotator on tracks is. Rotator can do anything!
On paper that might seem like a good idea, but they are way too heavy to be in soft snow. You couldn't reasonably get enough surface area underneath it to support the 50,000ish pounds that they weigh.
There won’t be any snow next year. That’s how utah winters play out. One year is ridiculous and the next year nothing.
How about one of that 100 ton Rotators that Miller Industries introduced a while back? XD
So glad Alan is with you hope he can still get his house finished can we get an update on his situation after the fire and where he is now.

LOVE IT WHEN YOU INCLUDE OTHERS LIKE ROBBIE AND CREW! ONE BIG FAMILY!!
Another awesome recovery. Blessings from Proctor Minnesota! Stay safe guys!

Fairview canyon never changes. Amazing place and I grew up just on the other side of the hill. Great content as always.
I hope all of the snow helps fill Lake Powell and lake Mead. Great job guys. 😊
Here's a suggestion when you have the wrenches. Just put a big hollow iron bar for leverage. I'm assuming you didn't have that in your tool chest. I hope you don't mind the comment. I always enjoy the recoveries. I love your content. And the good you do.

Job well done''' thanks for the show , injoy watching your recovery. Take care see you next time,
Heavy D’s got some nice stuff, and it was an interesting recovery. It was nice seeing Robby and Hillbilly on the scene. Bravo everyone and hope you all stay safe.
there's never anything nice about seeing robby layton and the genetic rejects that hang around him
Just wondering that if it was sitting since summer, why not wait for summer again and recover then?
I love how many people have been helped by yall. Work Hard and Stay Humble and loved😎
The all weather specialist's are at it again , ❤️ watching how you solve things, we get total opposite of snow in Australia 🇦🇺.
I like the small camera cuts when Dave explains the situation, they are not needed but super fun small details
Hi guys how are you doing? I really enjoy watching you team up with Matt's off Road for that recovery in the mountains. I wanted to know if there are any updates on finding Dylan's body. Bendiciones Hermano Dave. You are an inspiration to so many. Stay focused. God is in control. Gracias Carnalito.
Just love the comradery and the respect everyone has for each other and for Dave.
Comrade
That first recovery with the Black Hawk is going to be something. Always good to watch a colaboration.
With all the stuff Robbie has going on..he calls this the most fun he had in a long time..darn workaholics..love you Layton auto body..
Reminds me of the scene in braveheart and the line;
"You Amadons didn't think you're going to go and have all this fun without us did you?"
Just a suggestion for the Snow and the like. How about buying a decent sized skid steer with a Snow blower attachment, A winch attachment and a rubber blade with forklifts. Would be super useful and for clearing snow much faster.
Dave never half-asses anything, the quality of these videos just keep getting better and better!
Besides bending the corner of his flat bed and the light box as well on the right side. Or absolutely filling customer equipment with starting fluid. Don’t get me wrong it’s all hard unpredictable work but I see a lot of no nos

The snow looks so beautiful, but yet so devastating
Roby always cheerful and in there always working to solve issues along with Dave , They make a good team
What I recommend doing for your heavier diesel recovery vehicles is building an additional building for them and keeping them heated. I spent 2 years at a firehouse in the northern Midwest and we always kept the vehicles in warm buildings, otherwise they wouldn't start up for about 15-20 minutes
Only do this if you have the extra funding to spare, and again, THIS IS ONLY A RECOMMENDATION
Great job seeing neighbors working side by side. Hats off to you both from Massachusetts!!!
Damn you didn't have to do my boy hans like that 😂
@@Complete.cyclepath I’m sure if he can dish it he can take it!🤣🤣
Best line of the episode. Hans: "well I'm not saying anything". Hilarious
I can testify to that Robby does have a good channel. I enjoy the content.
Awesome look forward to the video!
Alan “ The Wizard “ fix’s the problems , what a man !!
Love the stuff you guys do. Huge inspiration and motivation to keep making videos

Sometimes I close my eyes, looks to dangerous, 2 video's ago with that road and the steep right side.🥺
It's great to see you and Robbie get together again. Two great channels coming together.

I would be willing to bet that a dead child is worse than a dead snow cat. Just saying.
I need one. I'm so tired of the crap they sell at the hardware store.

Thanks for the vid's guys real good watching. One thing i have noticed is the way you use your shackles. For me it offen looks like you use them the wrong why around when you have more than one sling in them.
What an awesome winter you're having .
That place is so beautiful with the snow that has not been track on beautiful
Block heaters guys.

No snow in the snow belt of Northeastern Ohio this year. I need to be ripping on a sled to fix my backaches.
Your shoe always facinates. Best of lick everyone. Always be safe and blessings to all of you.😀
You guys are awesome. The best people for the job HeavyD and his contegous smile, Diesel Dave the hardest worker with a humorus ethic, and Alan the wizard the had of knowledge. and a wonderful support team. What can't you guys do?
Any time snow cats are involved it's a super cool rescue, great job on this one

I can’t believe how much snow y’all have over there! Here in British Columbia so far this winter hasn’t done much, heck we’re already seeing little teasers of spring weather.
Great job guys. I have finally caught up and watched all of your videos. It has been cool to see how the production value has gotten progressively better.
Hi Robby, great to see you and Hill Billy helping out with the rescue. Cool vid, Heavy D and crew.
Братья привет. Вы и ваша команда лутшие 👍👍👍👍 удачи здоровья успехов ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
I love the snow so much and sometimes even miss it. However, today in South Carolina, it was in the mid to high 60's. Yesterday, 72. Again, sometimes I miss the snow ;) Great video, nice to see you using the local talent.
Good easy recovery. Great job. Tip, put shorter wrench against mechanical stop and use longer wrench for more leverage, if sizes are right.
I can’t image how much business expenses are. You are awesome HeavyD! Keep up the awesome work.
He gets paid by scammers so it doesn't matter
Love and respect from Scotland and me and Wallace ☘🍀☘🍀☘🍀
every time i watch one of your videos the first thing i wanna do is watch another one. great content, humor, camaraderie and all around adventure. love all you guys, keep up the good work guys.
That fire truck flatbed is the coolest thing I’ve seen, I’d use it as my daily driver lol
Heavy D's crew single handedly keeping fuel station/convenience stores afloat.
Allen is not afraid to work usually he is the first guy to get his hands dirty.
And I've never heard him complaining about having to work in the snow rain 100-degree days he gets It done ✔️ ✔️
Why am I re watching all these this winter! Heavy D we need more brother!
snow cats and helicopters have to be 2 of the coolest vehicles of all times
Still hoping to see more of Dave's monster tracked recovery vehicle. The swamp machine that they tested by driving over small trees and through the bug infested swamp where Diesel Dave was getting covered with the bugs.
I like how you met this guy at his cool castle and now hes a part of the crew
