Pro safety tip for you. Put your winch line through a couple of tires before you hook it up to whatever you’re recovering. So when you pull your winch line nice and tight, those tires are just dangling in the middle of your winch line but when it breaks like it did there, it immediately hits the ground because of the weight of the tires pulling it down instead of slingshotting it back towards potential bystanders.

That’s because this was filmed BEFORE the unplanned California trip. So at the point in time when this video was being filmed, there would be no reason to think this wouldn’t be the debut. But things changed and they needed it in Cali, so those of us who are attentive noticed the new “toy” immediately. When Dave didn’t “introduce” the loader to us like he did with the big plow/blower, I assumed it would be debuting in an upcoming video since 99% of the time he familiarizes us to the new equipment.

Heavy D: you know those skis you built for the trailer, modify them so that they will bolt together then you could of put it under he shed & pulled it back down the mountain much easier than plowing snow ,rocks & dirt the whole way , much less stress on the beast snow cat too! Great show , kudos to the whole crew! Video crew too! Regards the California rescue was one of the best videos ever😢 you guy’s blessed those folks in Cal plus us folks watching! Regards Mad Mike S. You need to add a two or three inch tall finn running down the center of the skis to keep from drifting side to side especially when standing still on any kind of a slope. Wider skiers will keep it on top of the snow better too

Don’t give up on Ski Trailer just yet. Having said that it is a fairly straight forward PSI Equation ( think Patey! ) so for it to have been helpful w the building there would have had to have been 2 more Skis at the front. The ability to lower the front pair by crank would be handy!
