These tech talks are some of my favourite things on youtube, and they have been for many many years now. I wish I could watch one everyday. Anyways, thank you for these, and I hope you never stop doing them.
Refreshing to see a real artist and not some DJ influencer playing pretend. Great point that you don’t need a lot of gear to make something great. I just sold almost all of my gear because of option paralysis. Really nice video and the music is lovely
Hey! You should have more respect for people who have made no effort to study music composition, sound design and performance and use Sync settings so that they can post social media videos doing the Jesus DJ pose whilst getting paid playing other people’s music without having any talent themselves other than that they are highly skilled at narcissistic behaviour! Wait actually don’t do that 😂
@@matteomelfait really feels like the twilight zone. I ran across a clip of tomorrow land yesterday and it was so strange to acknowledge how disconnected I felt considering how much I love electronic music.
This was a fantastic, inspiring tech talk. When i saw the FX-500 that's the first thing i thought: "It's the Slowdive box!" :) :) I still have mine from the mid-90s.
Will add this comment here too: Acid jacker out on WRKTRX Do It or Die (with Liz Wight on vox) which is an album track not released yet. Get Up featuring DJ Slugo out on Moveltraxx. I’d Risk It All the Be With You feat. Liz Wight out on 2MR. ♥️♥️♥️
@@LaurenFlax amazing! thanks for the info on the tracks.. they are so nice!.. off to Discogs I go! you also mentioned an album... any release date for this yet?
Love your style Lauren ! did you know you can use logic and ableton at the same time in sync via ableton link ? It’s much better than rewire since there are no limitations when used this way. 😊 and you can even send audio between the two if needed with a few third party options like loopback, blue cat connector, or omnibus 👊

"I can see why people use Ableton but I just use Logic... all the drums are my own from the TR8S...(for the beats) I just get tons of samples packs and throw them in Ableton..."🤣
@@21gramexperiment It's not like she doesn't explain that she uses Ableton just for the beat mangling (which she finds superior there), and does the whole of the sequencing, arranging, and mixing in Logic, or that she doesn't say how she misses being able to sync Ableton to Logic through Rewire...

My feelings exactly.
Cool interview and great to see a simple artist setup built around fun

Glad you enjoyed it!
Yessss Lauren is the BK GOAT
Great video 😊 Love working outside the box. Thanks for sharing that a minimal setup can go a long way. Keep rising!
Very interesting and she is such a nice down-to-earth person. Love it. Thank you.

Lauren is the best ❤❤❤❤❤
Great Setup!
Thanks for sharing, Lauren! Seeing you doing your thing takes me back to Kurt Gluck toast wars and U street parties in DC. Keep moving forward!
Super cool peek into your lab
An inspiration. Thanks Lauren!

Great to see Lauren appearing on this, love her music. Can the track IDs be shared please?

Amazing !!! Such good energy always!!
Inspired! 🙏🏻
Lovely clean set up! I have a Prophet 600 with the exact same F key chipped...
5:33 the music in the background really has Slowdive vibes.
Super kind to say, thank you. Will be on my album :)
This was a great one I really enjoyed this 🤘🏽
Great video!! Is this stand of these Jaspers stands? 🙌🏽
Nice studio, walls and painting. Here is the example, when gear meets talent. I would never come out.
Owning Logic is like owning a Honda Civic, it always works.

awesome!
Where does one get that additional sub tier? That A Frame stand is like a pseudo 4 tier and it looks great!
❤❤❤
Love you lauren
I hope this is the song at minute 5:35, it's really beautiful!

Love the OT is turned off, that is the way creativity flows 💪 just get away of that devil thing
"Not a good muscian" I dissagree Lauren. Loved the interview.
Would like to force myself to get out of the box but can't be arsed to learn new hardware, nor do i have space. Bootstrapping until the first billi
and what about the OT ? 😢
Very interesting and awesome to see the Palestinian flag next to her mixer. Keep up the great work!

Yeah sell it and buy a juno 6 😎

Disingenuous. She didn't say "never", said "mostly hardware". Then, "I write out of the box and arrange in the box".

I thought the same thing when I read your thoughts on the matter.
respectfully : i think you need to go heal your inner artist child. he feels really hurt to me.
