That 1st one-way underpass is so much better now that there's a light, but I've never had to worry about my vehicle being too tall to make it!! I do *not* want to go through that 2nd one! Yikes!
I loved your channel even before the van travel, but I love it even more with Lydia! My husband I have a class C RV and I have a tip for the hot water issue. IF you have an on demand tankless hot water heater in Lydia you can try setting your hot water temperature to the temperature you like to shower, (for me it is 110 degrees, my husband likes it hotter). once you set the temperature, use only the hot water faucet and not the cold, your water should stay consistently hot as long as you don't interrupt the water flow, such as turning off the flow to save water. I hope this helps!
I'm dying over here. When you said, "Let's get down to business," I started singing from Mulan, and then I heard Kent singing too. Great minds think alike, Kent! 🤣
You could use earthquake gel for the trees. It works great for things left on counters and such. My coffee pot never moved an inch as we traveled the whole country in the RV.
Earthquake/Museum putty. Bungy cord to hold in Advant boxes. I saw akon on cabinet next to the open space, although I did not see what was on the other side.
I put things in my sink in our 5th wheel. It prevents them from rolling around. Maybe your trees would work in there. Love watching your travels. We are hopefully heading to Florida after Christmas for 3 months. We couldn't go last year so I am very excited. I am also enjoying your advents as I didn't get any this year! Safe travels!!
🌴☀️Love love love!!! I’m a full time solo female vanlifer in a Promaster 2500 & so I’m loving this especially, who knew my van was filled with fiber goodness 🤭 this is so stinking awesome!!!!!!!☀️🌴
Hello from Mounds, Illinois! My son drives a semi and stays at Loves and Flying Jays a lot, because they have truck parking. My son and his family lives in Benton Texas. He is an owner operator and drives all over the country since he left the military. I have a military family.
Such an adventure. You probably know this but if an underpass is close to your van height you can let some air out of the tires. We always had to tie our Christmas tree to a hook in the ceiling with fishing line because we had cats when I was growing up. 🙃
Hello Nat, Ken & Toaster🤗 Safe travels on this leg of y’alls journey🙏🏻 I was wondering if you would share what kind of “Glamper” yall have. Hubby & I are looking to purchase and definitely want a smaller size so we can get around easier. God Bless & Happy Holidays💕😊💕
Oh how I sympathized when you were going under the bridges! I am always on the look out for the signs on bridges, we’re about 13.5 feet! We also need to see Kent’s advents each day!
Same same! Grab a sticky note and write your height, Natalie. Stick it on the dash for peace of mind. Also 3M Velcro is a lifesaver for keeping things in place. Safe travels. Enjoying your vlogmas!
Good morning Natalie,Kent and Toaster. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. I have a suggestion for your Christmas trees. 3m command strip hooks on the window and your string. Happy travels. Another suggestion for your items on the shelf, to prevent them from falling. Get some small cafe tension curtains rods and use them vertically to stop items from falling. Hope my suggestions help.
fun to watch, got lots of my knitting done. When traveling in the van, all things need to br secured, otherwise a sudden stop will propel everything forward. Safety issue. Really like the BRAZOS yarn .
#Question I see you stop and take advantage of a lot of knit nights at any yarn store you find one at. My question is how did you not feel awkward at a new place where you know no one. I’m not good in those situations and tend to talk myself out of going by the time the event comes around so I never get to meet new people. Is there anything you know to do to make it easier to feel more comfortable going the first time
Nice Goose Island shirt, Kent! 😉 I'm so glad you all went to Eat, Sleep, Knit! Even though I'm in Chicago, family is in Atlanta, so every Christmas, my mother-in-law and I make a trip there for some yarn-y goodness 😍
Toaster looked slightly irritated at having to ride in the van again. 😅 I hope trying to do vlogmas everyday doesn't get to be too much this year. You have so much on your plate already. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I hope you get enough rest! ❤
Have you thought about getting Toasters a seatbelt? He might like travelling better if he feels more secure. Also,God forbid you were ever in an accident. I had to slam on the brakes once and I was hardly moving and “my” poor dog was thrown into the dashboard. I haven’t not used a seatbelt for “my” dogs since. They are like a harness.
Did you know you can buy putty that is removable and put on the bottom of your trees to keep them up. Any craft store should have it. (Then you have no yarn showing and it’s reusable)
Just found you the other day. I didn't even realize i was parked right next to you at Eat sleep knit. I could have met Toaster, love the name. You were in the middle of filming the shop while i was shopping. I would have said hello but i was clueless 😅. How was knit night? Where there many people? I've considered going, but havent had a chance yet.
@KnittyNatty yes way! I'm probably in some of that raw footage. I was wearing a purple hoodie and jeans. When you start editing it if you see me pretend I'm saying hello 😂. I will have to go to knit night. Glad to know there are people there. Thanks for answering my questions.
I'm enjoying your Vlogmas videos. Your regular podcasts have gotten too long for me. I start watching but then have to stop to do other things & next time I go on UA-cam I've forgotten. Shorter videos are much better!
I just watch the projects portion. I don’t care for the questions or the life stuff. I do that for everyone, not just this podcast. I personally just want to see what people are working on. I don’t care what they’re reading or cooking.
I like her long and short ones. For all the podcasts I watch though, I usually skip what they’re reading and watching because I’m there for the yarn content :)
@rachelraye285 I don't have the right to an opinion? Strange! Anyway I'm enjoying what I watch, I just never get through a whole podcast anymore cause they're basically festure length. Loving Vlogmas though.
That Mulan bit.....priceless.
Toaster has a Christmas collar! That is a whole level of extra I didn't know existed, but now I MUST be on it.
Kent's snarky comments make me laugh every time. 😂😂😂
That 1st one-way underpass is so much better now that there's a light, but I've never had to worry about my vehicle being too tall to make it!! I do *not* want to go through that 2nd one! Yikes!
TOASTER!!!❤❤❤

You should get Velcro for your trees! That way it looks a bit more put together, and you can remove them if you need the counter space!
I'm dying over here. When you said, "Let's get down to business," I started singing from Mulan, and then I heard Kent singing too. Great minds think alike, Kent! 🤣
hahaha
contact strips for holding trees in place or you can put cup hooks in the cabinet bottom and suspend the trees with yarn
17:14 that blanket is so cute!
You could use earthquake gel for the trees. It works great for things left on counters and such. My coffee pot never moved an inch as we traveled the whole country in the RV.
I keep a basket on the floor at my feet when knitting while traveling
I love your vlogmas. I love when you film the surroundings. Not beeing from the states it even fun to see what the road signs etc looks like.
Maybe poster putty would work to hold the trees.
Earthquake/Museum putty. Bungy cord to hold in Advant boxes. I saw akon on cabinet next to the open space, although I did not see what was on the other side.
You should try a museum putty at the base of your trees. That should help if not hold them down completely.
Good idea!
Love your “Life is better with a Dog”❤. Thanks for sharing your journey and posting your Vlogmas 2023, so much fun🎄
I so loved last year with your travels thru NY City. I love your yarn trips. Looking forward to your December trip.
We spent several years travelling between Nova Scotia and Florida with our RV. Your stuff basically endures earthquake conditions when you travel
Ken, your editing is great. "I'm playing Warcraft Rumble". "To Defeat the Huns". Super cute. Loving this vibe of the two of you together.
You have both had a very busy first day on the road. Drive carefully. Thank you for letting us see snippets of your daily life.
What about a few Velcro command strips for your trees?
What a wonderful dog Toaster is.

Aww so cool!!
Toaster waiting for his treat 🥹🥹🥹
Toaster is always so soft in taking treats! My dog usually just gobbles them up.

I am truly enjoying Vlogmas!!! I love the mug by the way! I need one for me and my fur-baby ❤

Really like the BRAZOS yarn .
most Loves also has dog parks. :)
Yes!! I meant to say that too!
I'm enjoying your Vlogmas!
Thank you!
Toaster needs a credit for editing todays video ❤️
Hehee he does!

Your decorations are so nice I love the glass jellies

This was a cool video . Thanks for taking us along 🧶🐾💫 safe travels !!

I hope trying to do vlogmas everyday doesn't get to be too much this year. You have so much on your plate already.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I hope you get enough rest! ❤
Aww thank you! We love filming Vlogmas and we’re caught up on editing now so there shouldn’t be many more late nights 🤪
recipe for those cookies you ate? they look yummy!
We always belt him when we’re in a normal car, but there’s no where to belt him in our van :(
Did you know you can buy putty that is removable and put on the bottom of your trees to keep them up. Any craft store should have it. (Then you have no yarn showing and it’s reusable)
I was going to comment museum putty. 😊 We use it in our rv. It does a great job.
yes, museum putty.
Get some 2 sided tape to use on the base of trees ,it works… happy traveling
I love your Vlogmas videos🤗💕 I'm allergic to wool. Are there any UA-cam's who do not use wool? Thank you for your time💕
Thank you!! Terrapin Fibers is a hand-dyer that dyes only non-wool options ☺️
@@KnittyNatty You are a rock star! Thank you🤗🥰
duct tape should work, and the branches would cover it up mostly

Don’t watch then ?

I guess the other 43k disagree with you.

Love the VanLife theme today! We have an RV and your content today was so enjoyable 🚐 🧶
Aww so cool!!
