- Welcome to Vlogmas 2023! I'm taking you along with me each day through December 25th. This year we are traveling full-time in our van! December is going to keep us in Florida, but there will be loads of interesting places that we see and of course knitting, crochet, Disney, and lots of Toaster! New videos drop every day at 8:00 AM Eastern. This year I'm filming three days ahead to allow time for editing (especially with spotty internet while we travel). Enjoy! #vlogmas #vlogmas2023

Its such a joy to watch you and Kent - I remember in the early days Kent was shy and now he is part of everything which I think is amazing that both of you can enjoy all the adventures you are having together!!!

Feeling loss and alone is beautiful, love orange crush, letters to santa is a nice change from the pinks. OMG the yellow. I think the Toy Story Advent and all the oranges have been my favorites so far. For only seeing one stars wars movie Natalie guessed better than me,
I love that during the movie Kent is playing World of Warcraft. He's not the only one that will watch movies and play WoW, my boyfriend and I do as well XD

What a tragedy that Kent is allergic to mango. Also, my husband would be so proud that y’all pointed out how the tip is the best bite. That’s true love…giving that bite.
I am living for this Key Lime contest. It’s one of my favorite desserts, also, and I could also do without meringue. My husband and I once made one from scratch, and it was tasty, but man those key limes are tiny and a ton of work to juice!
Lobster bisque and the search for the best key lime pie. Sounds like a great vacation idea!
Not sure if the key lime has to be from restaurants, but Publix grocery store has an award winning Key Lime pie. ❤

The Springfield shoutout made me so happy! I’ve since moved away, and let me tell you, there is no Chinese food like it anywhere.
Loved this episode! Kent’s comments were great, and almost believable 🤭. Key lime pie is one of my favorites too. Try Key lime cheesecake one day. Won’t be the same, but super good! I would have given that cheesecake today 4 stars just on how it looked…my mouth watered! Keep up the great trip videos, and don’t miss Toaster too much…❤
Hey you guys I’m loving the vlogmas’ so far and your wee rubber duckies are so cute! ……..you need to get yourself some Nano Tape……it’s miraculous stuff and I use it all over my camper to hold things (pot plants, hand gel, canisters etc still on my counter tops and front console when I’m driving etc ……it comes on a roll, you cut it to size, doesn’t mark surfaces at all and is reusable! 🎉

The absolute best key lime pie I have ever had is in Ybor City Florida at a restaurant called "The Columbia" with a mug of Cafe con Leche.
It is by far my absolute favorite pie ever. Natalie we have similar pie tastes.

I have been to the keys on a birding trip by boat. We docked at the place with the prison. Went to key west which was beautiful. I have family that lives on Islemadora I havent visited yet.
The reason key lime pie often has meringue on top is because in the early days, the Keys residents had chickens but little access to refrigeration. Hence the meringue and not whipped cream. I prefer the meringue, but if you want a good pie with whipped cream, Publix always has had a good key lime pie. I’m also partial to The Blonde Giraffe. I think their Key West location is closed, but it looks like they’ve reopened in Tavernier (Upper Keys). I’ve been vacationing in the Keys for about 30 years, so have lots of restaurants to recommend. We stay in Marathon, so most are from there. Try Island Fisheries (on the water, try the lobster mac & cheese), Castaway (also on the water, excellent local seafood but pricey), 7 Mile Cuban Restaurant, Herbie’s, Cracked Conch. In Key West, the best conch fritters are at the stand outside the aquarium. Turtle Kraals in Key West also is good. Conch Tour Train for a good look at Key West. And you must visit Key West later in the day for the sunset celebration. The street performers are first rate and everyone cheers when the sun dips below the horizon. The Keys really don’t have natural beaches, but the man made ones are nice. Try Sombrero Beach in Marathon. On your way back north, be sure to visit the Robert Is Here fruit market in Homestead. You can buy exotic fruits you’ve never heard of and they serve the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. I could say a lot more about the Keys but I don’t want to bore you. Have fun!
How about making ornaments from Kent’s advent pieces? For his little van tree.

You may be able to use poster putty instead of magnets to put the tiny Brands up. It should be removable and not leave damage, but still have a good enough hold so they could sit wherever you wanted around the van!

Watching your Vlogmas makes my day! Coming along on your and Kents' traveling adventure is a bonus. My husband loves key lime pie. And since we live in Miami, we might just have to take a drive and taste both the plain key lime and the fried key lime pie as well. Thanks so much for all the work you two put into vlogmas! Watching your vlogmas specifically everyday and every year has genuinely become a part of my Holiday tradition. And the past couple of days have been very rough for me, so these have been such a huge comfort.
Also I recently decided to rewatch the Toy Story's as well, and I actually finished watching Toy Story 2 right before watching this vlog! It's definitely my favourite one and i'm convinced it's the perfect sequel.
I totally agree about meringue on key lime pie - it doesn’t belong.
Also, Kent's commentary is hilarious.
