Yours is the first Vlogmas I have watched. I had seen the title on UA-cam a lot but had no idea what they were. I know they are a lot of extra work for you but just wanted to say that watching your Vlogmas has been so enjoyable. Love the Advent openings and feeling like I get a visitor into my home everyday. Much appreciated during the holiday season.
the legacy fibers color is beautiful, love the polka dot creek color. your dog is everything, Everytime I see that blanket you're working on, I want to add that to my list. Little Women is wonderful. I asked my Aunt for the Little Women Harney's tea for Christmas
Beautiful socks as always! When you were showing the toe of the Grinch striped socks, I do the same thing as you did when using a different color for the toe. I find if you start the decreases on the first round of the toe with the new color, the decrease stitches tend to pull up a bit and create a crooked-looking line between the two colors. I now always do at least two rows of the new toe color in stockinette before doing the first decrease row. Makes the transition look much better!
As always, I love sitting down and sharing these snippets of your day with you. Thank you for filming them for us! And Calvin (that is the black cat’s name?) running across the frame while you were winding yarn made me laugh. My dog always runs to rescue me from the ball winder whenever I’m winding yarn.
Must check out that movie,,,I have read the books ,,,but never seen the movies,,,!! Dexeter is so sweet,,,,They all are,,, Love the newest socks,!!!! Elaine🏘🎄
Last year was my first Vlogmas. New experience. I enjoy watching you open each yarn package. The yarn is beautiful, but I am partial to Polka Dot Creek. Love the Canadian yarn dyers.
I’m an 8pm bedtime person too! I read for about 15 minutes (if I’m lucky) and then I’m up between 4 and 5. No one really gets it, but I LOVE being able to get my workout in first thing and then spend the rest of my precious alone time knitting!
Hi Kay Your grinch socks are beautiful ♥️♥️♥️ That’s the fav of mine the original little women also I’m going to watch as soon as you are done ENJOY GIRL !!!😊🥰💝
The Grinch socks turned out so good! I really like the Lump of Coal socks, the colors are so dramatic together. Dexter and Gracie are so cute and Emmie nice to see. That version of Little Women is my favorite!
We had a LYS that has since closed with Bostons. It was the cutest thing to walk in and hear them snoring curled up on knitted blankets on the sofas. 💕
The grinch socks turned out beautiful! You totally inspired me to dye up some yarn to make my own stripy socks this year. The cuff, heel, and toe will be white. Then stripes of dark red, pink variegated with red speckles, light red, light green, green variegated with darker green speckles, dark green, repeat. VERY excited to cast on tomorrow when the yarn is dry.
Kay I am so impressed with all of the work that goes into making these videos that I so enjoy. I went right down to your notes to buy you a kofi but you don't have a link. I guess you don't use it? I really really appreciate what you do for all of us who watch and listen and learn. One of my friends really wants to learn how to knit socks so I am trying to show her along with your video on vanilla socks magic loop which changed my sock knitting life.
It looks like your cozy memories does not use a lot of yarn even with doubling it. I’m sure you said it before but how many grams do you use for a square? I have never made one myself yet. Does Eric know that those socks are for him? Your new castle is so beautiful too!😊
Oh my heart - sweet Dexter can hardly keep his little eyes open! How adorable ❤ (I saw the “it’s a fade” note on the Homespun House advent today. 😊 Nice episode. Thanks for all the time you put in.
I'd love to know where you got your house slippers and how you like them! My feet are starting to need some support around the house, and I also want to be a little easier on my socks because I do NOT like darning, haha!
I don’t always watch the same vlogmass every year but never miss yours. I tried to watch the tutorial linked below for the sock ruler but it keeps popping up that I don’t have permission 😞.
Obsessed with those striped socks! Side eying my stash wondering if I have something similar I could cast on as if I don’t already have 4 pairs of socks on needles and a couple singles needing mates tucked away. 😂😂 thanks for helping me enjoy my Saturday afternoon break. ❤
Eric's lump of coal socks are turning out so good...I always feel like men's socks take so much longer to knit, too! You are entitled to have a brownir. They look scrumptious, and I may need to make some today, too! I love your Grinch socks, especially with the self striping toe , heels, and cuffs! Love the combination of the solid red and green Stripes with the variegated self stripping yarn! ❤❤❤
Kay, between you and Staci from Very Pink Knits I was encouraged to get myself the sock size set of Chaigoo Twist Shorties. I had tried 9” circs before for socks and I just didn’t like it at all! But THESE…..Oh. My. Goodness! I am in love with the little needles and yes the socks fly on the 9” circs. I like my FlexiFlips but this is my new favorite needle set, right from the get go.
Yay I love a cameo from one of the kitties! Thanks for your quick reply to my email question about the socks for my daughter. I’ve started on the leg and I’m still trying to figure out my tension with the 9” circular. I keep wanting to hold it in a death grip! You make it look so easy 😊
Dexter sure does love that Grinch! Did I notice a leg missing? I can't tell you how many "surgeries" I've done on dog toys. Sometimes they just love them to pieces, literally! Gracie is so dang cute. Oh my gosh your new sock is amazing. I wouldn't be able to leave that one alone. Eric's socks are grand, and I just love your striped socks. I have a pair of scrappy socks going and will have a pile of ends to weave in. That's OK. Oh and it was nice to see a peek of Emmie today...and a dash of Calvin too. :)
Re: slow and humming computer, you might need an external hard drive if you don’t already have one! Perhaps your son could save his music files on his own hard drive so it won’t slow your comp down. Happy holidays!
Maybe but I don’t keep any files saved on there. So there actually isn’t much on there. I delete things once I’m done. And he uses an SD card for his things. It doesn’t do the noise all the time. And runs fine and isn’t slow. 🤷🏻♀️
No worries! I actually may have mentioned it running a bit slow one day when I was editing before I did an update it needed the other day. 🤔 But it was just that day and the update fixed it. So you may have heard that from me. I forgot it was running slow one day earlier in Vlogmas. But that’s not a normal occurrence. 😂
Hi, Kay. This is a general sock knitting question: I am knitting your vanilla sock pattern, incorporating a very simple, two-round slipped stitch pattern in the leg (Knit one round, *K1, sl2 wyb, K1* on the second round). My intention was to continue this slipped stitch pattern for the instep and knit plain stockinette for the sole. It just occurred to me that the sole may lengthen (grow) faster than the instep because by its very nature, the slipped stitch pattern will not keep up its growth with the stockinette. Is that correct? If so, then I can either knit stockinette for the entire foot (instep and sole) OR use the slipped stitch pattern for the entire foot. And if I use the slipped stitch pattern for the entire foot, I guess I will need to do some math to handle the gusset. Am I thinking right? Many thanks. :-)
I don’t have any plans to do that right now. I will be working it up at some point in the future in a project that will show them all next to each other.
It really drives me nuts when people talk really quite and then BAM their music is SO LOUD haha I feel like if you can put clips in an editing app you can see each clip and music clip has a volume control so yeah, please adjust that is what I say to their video but they can' t hear me haha I will sometimes not watch someone's vlog if I am knitting and my hands are too busy to slam that mute button lol
Your kitty is very pretty. Love your little dogs and what breed is the reddish color dog? Received some pretty yarn on day 8. Where is the pattern for the shawl you were wearing today? Walk in Peace.
I got some sparkle sock from WYS and was wondering do you pull from the inside or do you just use your ball winder and redo it. That was what I was temped to do just can’t decide. Ugh. I know anyway would work just curious what your go to is.
Great socks… and Little Women really has a place in my heart! ❤❤❤
So lovely to see the pets again today. I love the grinch socks 😍👍🧶🎄
The 1949 version of Little Women is also my favorite! 😊
Thank you for reminding us that Homespun House's Advent Calendar was a fade!
I love that Little Women edition too! Definitely my all time favourite! Love the Grinch Green wool xx
All your holiday socks come out so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Eric's socks are lovely!! Watching Dexter nod off on the sofa was so cute!!

I love that you're showing off all your Christmas socks as you wear them! Thanks for sharing!
DEXTER will love the new socks since he has a grinch toy.
I forgot Little Women can count as a Christmas movie!!! I haven't seen that version for so long!
The Grinch socks are great! I love the Lump of Coal color.

Your socks are fabulous and enjoyed seeing Dexter and the cat. ❤❤❤
I like the Legacy Fiber Arts best. Twice Sheared Sheep gets second place. Enjoy the knitting and holiday happenings. Nice Vlogmas today.
Wow those grinch socks look great!! Kinda want to do the same thing now, but with different colours 🥰
"(reminder: this is a fade)" 😆😆That was for me! (because apparently I don't listen very well). 😊
As always, I love sitting down and sharing these snippets of your day with you. Thank you for filming them for us!

This was a bright spot in a gloomy, rainy, NC day. Thanks so much!
Love the grinch socks. I love Little Women and have read the book many times. 🇬🇧
Must check out that movie,,,I have read the books ,,,but never seen the movies,,,!!

Those saturated colors in these socks for Eric are wonderful! So nice to see Emmy…I’ve missed her.
I really appreciate all the stuff you do on your videos, especially matching the volume!!

Sunday morning watching
Love it
Thanks for lovely music
This is the best version of little women to watch!!!!

I wondered why I woke up to 100 new subs! Thank you for sharing dear, I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!!! Xxx
♥️♥️♥️
Dexter on the couch!!! So cute!!
🤩The "older" Little Women are the best.
Mean & Green is very me. So nice. 💚
Thanks for sharing. 💕
Little Women is my favorite book. I have yet to see that version of the movie but have always wanted to watch it. I'll have to check it out.
It looks like your cozy memories does not use a lot of yarn even with doubling it. I’m sure you said it before but how many grams do you use for a square? I have never made one myself yet. Does Eric know that those socks are for him? Your new castle is so beautiful too!😊
Mean & Green set 🥰 Those are going to be beautiful! I love classic movies, so nostalgic 💞
I love how you show your socks!

Awww the smooshed puppy face is the best!! The yarns are gorgeous!!

Love seeing your advents. So much fun. How early do you have to order your advents so you will get one? I love all the socks. Have a great day. Diane
Thanks for sharing your meals and snacks. I have some new ideas now. Headed to my local Kroger as well. ❤🎉
Everything is beautiful! Especially that brownie on that little plate atop that mug. 😊
Some beautiful sock yarns. Very festive!
Those socks for Eric looks so good. Love that yarn ❤

I must find Little Women, I love June Allyson especially in the Glenn Miller Story! 💖🎄🌟
I found it on Amazon.
Love the Grinch socks!
We edit our vlogs the exact same way! Really enjoying this year's vlogmas. Loving those fluorescent Xmas socks!
Dexter is adorable 😊❤
Now you’ve made me cast on coziest memories blanket! I’m just doing fingering held single but thanks for all the wonderful inspiration. ❤
Thank you for all the links and notes! I found the pattern for the shawl as advised. Good episode and so much fun
Awwww I grew up watching that also with my Mom ❤. Love all the beautiful creations and wish you and yours a wonderful weekend!
Loved seeing your pups play and your gorgeous kitty observing its domain today :-)
I love that movie!
I love you candy cane mug, and the brownies look soooo good. I'm going to have to make some now.
Just love the Mean & Green socks!!! So nice to see Emma! Hadn't seen her in good while, so was leary to ask about her. Enjoy your party. 😊l
That is the best version of Little Women!
My best friend lives in Chillicothe!
I love that colorful shawl/wrap you wear! Is it crochet? Looks warm also
Yep it’s crochet, it’s linked below the video

@@CrazySockLady Ah! I might have heard about a slow computer in a different podcast and am mixing you up! Apologies!

Can you show all the homespun house advents that you have opened this far next to each other?
I don’t have any plans to do that right now. I will be working it up at some point in the future in a project that will show them all next to each other.
You do a wonderful job editing your videos!
Thank you! ♥️
WYATT, SHE STOLE A BROWNIE !! 😂

She is a mutt, we aren’t sure exactly what she is a mix of. I have the shawl linked below the video.
Love your granny shawl from last years advent. What was the final row count on it. I did look at you project page , but it doesn’t say.
Sorry, no idea. I didn’t count the rows. I just worked on it until I felt it was the size I wanted.
Did you have enough yarn leftover from the Grinch stripy socks to add into your Christmas/advent Cozy Memories blanket?
Not sure, I haven’t weighed them. I’m fine if they don’t get out into the blanket.
Enjoy your party, we have one as well tonight!
Hi Kay interesting vlogmas Kaye x 😊
Do you keep notions in each of your project bags or do you just have a set of notions you keep close to your kniiting spot?
I keep them in each bag.
Aww Dexter is SO cute! Did you make your salsa?
Eric did! ♥️
I got some sparkle sock from WYS and was wondering do you pull from the inside or do you just use your ball winder and redo it. That was what I was temped to do just can’t decide. Ugh. I know anyway would work just curious what your go to is.
I just pull from the inside.
Where did you find the stand for your yarn winding set up?
It’s linked below the video
Just love the lump of coal socks!
Little Women!! 😊
I know you machine wash your socks but do you block every pair after knitting or not❤
Nope, don’t feel a need to.
The cast on is so beautiful
# question: where did you get your yarn cabinets from.
They are from ikea.
❤
