Don't know why they changed it, she's actually more useless than the dragon guy card if she has the ability to burn cards. You can't replay her since she's a hero card too, so now she's actually just one of the most useless cards.

Before I go on, keep in mind that I used console commands here within Witcher 3 to acquire an excessive amount of Thaler & other Spy cards (which proves that you can reach absurdly high points with an excess of Spy cards as long as there isn't a deck limit). For people who are new to Gwent in Witcher 3 (like yourself), I suggest trying to play Gwent as many different players that you can find to obtain as many cards as possible. And to answer your question (& for general advice), I suggest building Northern Realms deck for beginners: There is no deck limit in Witcher 3's Gwent, so having a larger deck helps when practicing the popular/effective Spy deck meta. Following these 3 criteria will help you win pretty easily. 1. Try to play as many Spy cards as possible. 2. Medic cards like "Dun Banner Medic" complements nicely with Spy cards. 3. include 1-2 decoy cards to obtain any Spy cards on your side of the battlefield (especially against Nilfgaardian deck). I also cheated by getting all the cards through the console several times. Then I simply licked one of the fifty Cerys from the skellige deck, and it pulled out ~150 warriors, each of which strengthened the others. Using the leader's ability returned all cards to the deck. Then another Cerys went into battle. And what's the point? Well, yes, I made 200k points. But with cheats this is not interesting. To achieve at least 500 with a regular deck, that’s interesting
That's great. one question though, can I add specific cards in the running deck(from where I choose the cards to play at that instant) while playing the gwent?

It's more about deck flow. You want to be able to keep cards coming and replay discarded cards.
