Great art + competitive play + customizable decks + lore/personality (?)... definitely looking forward to this. Every time I think I'm done with card games, they just pull me back in. I am eager to see/hear how this compares with other "duelist" type card games (ie. Mage Wars, Summoner Wars, BattleCON) since my background is only in MTG.

At 18:53 that Butterfly monk with a wound counter actually would have died in battle. Its ability says the number of Butterfly monk spells in your spellboard, not the fact that you have two creatures in play. I had to point that out to my friends when we played yesterday. Neat game though!
Yep, absolutely - that was a mistake on-screen (I meant to have another Butterfly Monk on the spell board for that situation). Sorry for any confusion that caused!

This interests me the most because I've played a lot of 2-Player 'Dual' games (Pokemon, Netrunner, Summoner Wars, Conquest, Dice Masters) and I've always got my eye open for one that plays just as well with more than 2 players.
Stuart Worthington I'd like to do a play through, but no chance of a 3 or 4 player game. Not because I don't want to, but logistically, it would just be impossible for me to pull off. I'd need to be a bigger operation to do something like that.
Hey Rodney, I just read the rulebook again, and I have question regarding meditation. I believe when you meditate, you discard any number of cards from hand OR top deck OR ready spell, not hand AND top deck OR ready spell. At least that's how it was written in the rulebook. (Page 9) Correct me if I am wrong

awesome tutorial as always rodney! I have a few questions though, not sure if I might have missed some of them in your video: 1) if your spellboard limit has been reached, can you still play other spells like the reaction spells? 2) If blue jaguar is on my side of the field, and the archer that inflicts two damage as his ability on a phoenixborn/unit is summoned by my opponent, can I exhaust him immediately to prevent his damage from working?
Touch Blue 1) Yes. The spellboard limit only effects spells that specify that they are played to your Spellboard. 2) Good question, I don't have the cards in front of me now, I'd need to do a careful reading of the wording, and potentially toss that question to the designer if it seemed unclear.
+Watch It Played I think that you can do that, the card says "you may" so the effect not comes into play with the card but if the card said "when Stormwind Sniper comes to play inflict 2 damage" the effect of blue jaguar can't be used in the card because the ability of Stormwind Sniper comes with it.
Two questions: 1) do you know why some cards have a recovery value equal to their life (e.g. 3 life 3 recovery), wouldn't they just die before they recover? 2) can you explain a bit more about the repeating turns until all players have consecutively passed? Thanks!
1) normally that would be true, except that come effects can boost a cards life total, so then it could recover. 2) it just means that turns continue to be taken by players until each have passed consecutively (in other words, if one player passes, and then the other takes a turn, then, turns continue). This is a tough one to explain without knowing which part of it is causing confusion :) Let me know if that didn’t really cover it.
1- Can you summon again your summons once they are dead and returned to conjuration pile? 2- Once your main pile is deplete, will you lose life each turn in phase 1 when you draw cards? So would could lose 5 life each turn if you got no cards left?
+Robbie Baker Remember when you use a spell, you usually are required to place an exhaustion token on it. You only exhaust 1 copy at a time. So having multiple copies, allows you to perform that spell multiple times during a round. Hope that helps!
Hey Rodney! Love the video. Just getting ready to play and wanted to clear something up. In the rule book it says on your turn you must take a main action or you have the option to “pass”. My question is can you just take a side action on your turn and no main action. In other words you can take your side action first and just say “pass”, thus skipping your main action.
Hey Chris, thanks for the kind words about the video! You said "In the rule book it says on your turn you must take a main action or you have the option to “pass”". That's not quite what it says. Passing IS a Main action. Go to page 5, you'll see it lists the main actions. You MUST always take a main action, and you MAY do a side action, but you can do them in either order. So you could take a Side action and then Pass as your Main action. I think you're saying basically the same thing, I just wanted to ensure we're saying the same thing. Does that help?
Love the videos. Watched a few in the past when buying games, just subbed. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for 2 player co-op games. Me and my gf like playing board games, but I think less competition might be better for the relationship lol. I've looked at Pandemic and Flash Point, Pandemic looks more interesting, but I've heard it's better with more people. We really enjoy Takenoko for it's simplicity. I like the look of Mice and Mystics, but I can see her getting bored with the complexity. If you have a few suggestions that would be great because I don't live in the US, and what you suggest might not be available here. Keep up the good work.

I have a question: At around 15:42 you are going over the distinction between "wounds" and "damage" and state that the Living Doll Ally cannot use "pain link" if it is hit by "Molten Gold", but why? Sorry, one more question . . . If the rules state "the defending player may declare up to 1 blocker for each attacking unit" how can the "False Demon" @ 17:10 block both attackers? is that a special "Unit Guard" ability?
You've got it - that's a function of Unit Guard. When a Unit Guard steps in to defend, it blocks against all the attackers that were targeting the initial unit.
OK, think i got it. 2 scenarios: --> When a Phoenix Born is directly attacked by multiple attackers, blockers must be assigned ONE blocker PER attacker. ONE Single Blocker CANNOT Block Multiple Attackers. --> When a Unit is directly attacked by multiple attackers, another SINGLE unit with "Unit Guard" ability can block ALL attackers. OR a SINGLE Phoenix Born can block multiple attackers. Thanks again Rodney!

+Trelaras Leontas When you play a spell you already have, it's called focusing. It overlaps your previous copy. Now each can be used separately (they exhaust separately), but they only take up 1 slot in your spell board.
Question: When you summon a conjuration and the creature is destroyed, you turn it back to Conjuration pile again? I think you can't back to your Conjuration pile this doesn't make sense to me, you can't do that because if you do it, you will have unlimited Summon Conjurations.
+Jose Angel Contreras Yes, destroyed conjurations go back to your conjuration where they can be conjured again. You don't have unlimited conjurations exactly, because there are only so many copies, and your battlefield limits how many units you can have out at a time, but the benefit of them, is that unlike units, they are never used up. They can always be summoned again later, if they are destroyed.
Great video, this looks like an awesome game. I wonder though, in a 3 or more player game is there a rule for who you can and cannot attack, effect with spells, or use abilities against? ie must only go against player on left.
Hi Rodney, we have one of the expansions, and reading through, I think she only needs the violet illusion dice. Can you choose the dice just as you would your cards? (Not that we've mixed decks yet).
Hello and thanks for the video! At 7:58 you mention "two dice showing at least that value". The card (Summon Sleeping Widows) shows 2X but you place two dice showing X and Y. I guess I was interpreting it as, 2 of that symbol, X, must be played. Just to confirm, does this mean 2 dice need to be played, and at least one of them must show X, but not necessarily both? So in the example you are referring to, I need to have at least 2 sword faces to spend. I drop a sword and goat face looking die (because, as the die reference card would show, the goat face is the most powerful side and can be used in place of a sword or basic symbol). Let me know if that clears it up or not.

Quick question about attacking. On a turn you summon a ally or conjugation you can attack? Like you use a main action to summon an ally, then my opponents take an action then it's back to me so I can then attack?
Hi Rodney I have a couple questions about the game. When you said at the beginning you MUST take a main action but later on it says you can pass the main action?? Also if you have say 7 cards in your hands when it comes to the prepare phase do you draw another 5 or do you just keep the 7 that you have? Or of course you can discard and then draw back up.
+MJGOLDHEART You must take a Main Action on your turn. One possible Main Action is listed as Passing. When you draw during the Prepare phase, you draw "up to 5", so if you are already at 7, you draw nothing. Hope that helps.
Hey I had a question about the false demon conjugation. The illusion ability says if this unit receives damage as a result of a units attack our counter destroy this unit. Is "counter" in that ability referring to counter attack? Or wound counter? Like say my opponent uses a dice ability or spell to deal 1 damage to false demon would that destroy it?
So are there a set number of cards for this game that you buy all at once (such as a game like Dominion) or will it become more like a TCG (such as Magic the Gathering)?
William Liu If you are familiar with the LCG format, it's like that. In other words, unlike Magic The Gathering, there are no hidden cards and rarities. When you buy the game, you get the cards that everyone else gets. However, like Dominion, there will be expansions in the future to allow you to add new cards to your sets, but again, none of these will be in hidden packs, you simply buy the new cards and you can then build new styles of decks.
Hey got another question for you. Let's say I have 2 "summon masked wolf" spells in my spellboard. So if I use it twice in a round and has 2 exhaustion tokens on it.. When I refresh do I only remove 1 token or 1 token for each copy of summon masked wolf?
+Shiori If you have 2 Summon Masked Wolf spells, don't think of it as being able to use the same spell twice, but instead, you are able to use them each once. This means as you use each one, you just exhuast the one copy that you used.. Therefore, when you refresh and take 1 token of "each" spell, they "each" lose 1 exhaustion token and are both free to be used in the next round. Hope that helps!
sry if you answered this already as stopped scrolling through the comments after 5 min but: when you ready a focused spell, (let's say lvl 1 ) and both cards have an exhaustion token on them do you remove both or just one? thanks in advance
Time 11:45, and a few other places. The Die used doesn't match the card!? therefore cannot be used right? the card requires a leaf like symbol but you used a frog like symbol
Hey Rodney, Question for you about your example where the masked wolf was being attacked by the 2 mist spirits. lets say the masked wolf didn't have the exhaustion counter on it and it and the player decided to counter with the wolf, would the wolf deal its 2 damage to 1 mist spirit or would the player be able to assign one point of damage to each? +Shawn Risling If the ability has an exhaustion cost, then you place an exhaustion token on it when you use the ability. Exhausted units cannot attack. Hope that helps.
Question: (Rodney I know you have a son as well) What would you say is the minimum age to play this? I play Dice Masters and the Pokemon TCG with my son who is 9. This seems a bit more advanced. Would this be too much for him to handle, you think?

My girlfriend and I face some questions while trying to play for the first time: Can you play multiple main actions or side actions that are not a "cost" during the same turn? example: I attack the phoenix born, then after I attack a unit and I finish my main action by paying a card cost, which will end my main action automatically; Or does using whatever main or side actions automatically end that action? example: Using "attack a unit" ends my main action; Also, can you use the same main actions or side actions multiple time during the same turn? example: I attack an opponent's unit with one of mine and later in the same turn, attack another opponent's unit or the same with a different unit of mine. So, using the main action "attack a unit" twice during the same turn. Thank you!
During each of your turns you can only perform a “single” Main and “single” side action. That said, on a future turn, you can perform the same main action again (but remember, you can’t use the same unit to perform that action, if it is exhausted). We have a full play through as well, and you find that helpful to watch, to see the rules in action.
Games are interesting that way - what one person finds easy, someone else will find complex. The key is finding the games that are the right fit for the complexity you want in games - if this video helped you avoid a game that might not be right for you, than I'm glad it helped :)

Can you attack multiple targets during an action phase? let's say can you use 2 mist spirits to attack one target and another 2 spirits to attack another target and both targets are enemy units. how many times can a hero (i mean phoenixborn) guard an ally/conjuration during a turn (not a round) if your opponent decides to attack multiple targets with multiple monsters. i know that you said only a single 'unit' can be declared as a guard, but phoenixborns aren't units so can they guard multiple times in a single attack? and can you use your phoenixborn to only partially defend? ex: Conjuration X, ^ | | Conjuration Y, Z (Z has bypass) can your phoenix born defend conjuration X by taking the damage from Conjuration Y and let Conjuration Z attack Conjuration X? another question is can you put multiple alteration spells on the same guy for a miracle effect and major burst damage? just keep stacking the same or different alteration on the same ally such as blood archer? 7:50 similar to the previous one, can you use reaction spells multiple times? example if you only have one unit and it dies. can you spawn 4 sleeping widows if you have three of them in your hand? (assuming you have 4 blades) oh my god this game is really complicated.... so finally, what would happen if your opponent sends her blood puppet to maeoni's side of the field, by killing the blood puppet on maeoni's turn with her side action, would maeoni's silver snake gets a status token from consume?
You can perform 1 Main Action and 1 Side Action during a turn. Attacking is a Main action. When attacking you either target a single unit or Pheonixborn. So, during a single attack, no, you may not target multiple different units. BUT, on your next turn, you may attack again and target a new unit or Pheonixborn. With that understanding, that should answer your guarding Pheonixborn question. As there will only ever be one target during each attack, the Pheonixborn can always block it. If your Pheonixborn (or a unit with Unit Guard) steps in to defend another unit - it absorbs all the damage. Yes, you can stack alterations. Only one Reaction Spell may be played per turn (per player). When a unit is on your side of the board, it is "your" unit, so your other cards will treat it that way.

I still have some more questions XD Jess' redirect spell: when jess is being attacked by multiple conjurations. does redirect trigger after the first conjuration's attack and be used up or it triggers after all the conjurations have attacked and the cumulative damage goes to single unit. (assuming the opponent decides to attack jess with multiple units on his turn)
For specific card interactions, I think it would be best to follow up with the publisher themself, on their website - just because they would be the official authority on that sort of thing.
From the Plaid Hat website: "Multiplayer doesn’t have any additional rules; you play the game with the same set-up and just add additional players. Everyone has the same goal, to be the last one standing."
Just bought the new expansions. Mind you my playing habits are never a good measure anyway. The requirements of the show mean that I am not often able to play older favorites on a consistent basis. The best measure for your enjoyment will probably be whether or not it's something you like the look of and can find people to play with.
Watch It Played well I was telling my nephew about how I used to play magic and he wanted me to teach him but that was years ago and I don't have cards anymore so I was looking at a good alternative to that and with this its not boosters really it's just expansions every so often.

Any chance of a playthrough?
I'm most interested in seeing how this works as a 3 or 4 player, though I appreciate that this is much harder for you to organise and edit together cleanly. This interests me the most because I've played a lot of 2-Player 'Dual' games (Pokemon, Netrunner, Summoner Wars, Conquest, Dice Masters) and I've always got my eye open for one that plays just as well with more than 2 players.
Stuart Worthington I'd like to do a play through, but no chance of a 3 or 4 player game. Not because I don't want to, but logistically, it would just be impossible for me to pull off. I'd need to be a bigger operation to do something like that.
Hey Rodney, I just read the rulebook again, and I have question regarding meditation.
I believe when you meditate, you discard any number of cards from hand OR top deck OR ready spell, not hand AND top deck OR ready spell. At least that's how it was written in the rulebook. (Page 9) Correct me if I am wrong

Plaid Games seem to be terrible at rule books. Mice & Mystics was very bad and full of holes.

Eric Finley Yes, I work with publishers who want to be featured on the channel, but I will ONLY feature a game if I like it. It means I often have to tell publishers a particular game won't work for me. Thankfully there are LOADS of games out there that I do like :)
awesome tutorial as always rodney! I have a few questions though, not sure if I might have missed some of them in your video:
1) if your spellboard limit has been reached, can you still play other spells like the reaction spells?
2) If blue jaguar is on my side of the field, and the archer that inflicts two damage as his ability on a phoenixborn/unit is summoned by my opponent, can I exhaust him immediately to prevent his damage from working?
Touch Blue 1) Yes. The spellboard limit only effects spells that specify that they are played to your Spellboard.
2) Good question, I don't have the cards in front of me now, I'd need to do a careful reading of the wording, and potentially toss that question to the designer if it seemed unclear.
+Watch It Played I think that you can do that, the card says "you may" so the effect not comes into play with the card but if the card said "when Stormwind Sniper comes to play inflict 2 damage" the effect of blue jaguar can't be used in the card because the ability of Stormwind Sniper comes with it.
Two questions: 1) do you know why some cards have a recovery value equal to their life (e.g. 3 life 3 recovery), wouldn't they just die before they recover? 2) can you explain a bit more about the repeating turns until all players have consecutively passed? Thanks!
1) normally that would be true, except that come effects can boost a cards life total, so then it could recover. 2) it just means that turns continue to be taken by players until each have passed consecutively (in other words, if one player passes, and then the other takes a turn, then, turns continue). This is a tough one to explain without knowing which part of it is causing confusion :) Let me know if that didn’t really cover it.
1- Can you summon again your summons once they are dead and returned to conjuration pile?
2- Once your main pile is deplete, will you lose life each turn in phase 1 when you draw cards? So would could lose 5 life each turn if you got no cards left?

+Robbie Baker Remember when you use a spell, you usually are required to place an exhaustion token on it. You only exhaust 1 copy at a time. So having multiple copies, allows you to perform that spell multiple times during a round. Hope that helps!
Hey Rodney! Love the video. Just getting ready to play and wanted to clear something up. In the rule book it says on your turn you must take a main action or you have the option to “pass”. My question is can you just take a side action on your turn and no main action. In other words you can take your side action first and just say “pass”, thus skipping your main action.

That's not quite what it says. Passing IS a Main action. Go to page 5, you'll see it lists the main actions.
You MUST always take a main action, and you MAY do a side action, but you can do them in either order. So you could take a Side action and then Pass as your Main action.
I think you're saying basically the same thing, I just wanted to ensure we're saying the same thing. Does that help?

Love the videos. Watched a few in the past when buying games, just subbed. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for 2 player co-op games. Me and my gf like playing board games, but I think less competition might be better for the relationship lol. I've looked at Pandemic and Flash Point, Pandemic looks more interesting, but I've heard it's better with more people. We really enjoy Takenoko for it's simplicity. I like the look of Mice and Mystics, but I can see her getting bored with the complexity. If you have a few suggestions that would be great because I don't live in the US, and what you suggest might not be available here.

I have a question: At around 15:42 you are going over the distinction between "wounds" and "damage" and state that the Living Doll Ally cannot use "pain link" if it is hit by "Molten Gold", but why? I don't see in the rule book where this distinction is made. Thanks Much!

Sorry, one more question . . . If the rules state "the defending player may declare up to 1 blocker for each attacking unit" how can the "False Demon" @ 17:10 block both attackers? is that a special "Unit Guard" ability?
You've got it - that's a function of Unit Guard. When a Unit Guard steps in to defend, it blocks against all the attackers that were targeting the initial unit.
OK, think i got it. 2 scenarios:
--> When a Phoenix Born is directly attacked by multiple attackers, blockers must be assigned ONE blocker PER attacker. ONE Single Blocker CANNOT Block Multiple Attackers.
--> When a Unit is directly attacked by multiple attackers, another SINGLE unit with "Unit Guard" ability can block ALL attackers. OR a SINGLE Phoenix Born can block multiple attackers.

example: I have a summon silver snake on spellboard and I play for my main action summon silver snake, so I have two, so that means I have 2 spells on my spellboard?
+Trelaras Leontas When you play a spell you already have, it's called focusing. It overlaps your previous copy. Now each can be used separately (they exhaust separately), but they only take up 1 slot in your spell board.

Question: When you summon a conjuration and the creature is destroyed, you turn it back to Conjuration pile again? I think you can't back to your Conjuration pile this doesn't make sense to me, you can't do that because if you do it, you will have unlimited Summon Conjurations.
+Jose Angel Contreras Yes, destroyed conjurations go back to your conjuration where they can be conjured again. You don't have unlimited conjurations exactly, because there are only so many copies, and your battlefield limits how many units you can have out at a time, but the benefit of them, is that unlike units, they are never used up. They can always be summoned again later, if they are destroyed.
Great video, this looks like an awesome game. I wonder though, in a 3 or more player game is there a rule for who you can and cannot attack, effect with spells, or use abilities against? ie must only go against player on left.

Hello and thanks for the video! At 7:58 you mention "two dice showing at least that value". The card (Summon Sleeping Widows) shows 2X but you place two dice showing X and Y. I guess I was interpreting it as, 2 of that symbol, X, must be played.
Just to confirm, does this mean 2 dice need to be played, and at least one of them must show X, but not necessarily both?

The different die faces represent basically 3 different "levels" of resources. So in the example you are referring to, I need to have at least 2 sword faces to spend. I drop a sword and goat face looking die (because, as the die reference card would show, the goat face is the most powerful side and can be used in place of a sword or basic symbol).
Let me know if that clears it up or not.

Quick question about attacking. On a turn you summon a ally or conjugation you can attack? Like you use a main action to summon an ally, then my opponents take an action then it's back to me so I can then attack?
+Shiori Yep. You can attack with any unexhuasted unit (they don't have summoning sickness, like in Magic, if that's what you mean).
who is your favorite Phoenixborn? and do normal card sleeves fit the cards?
Yep, normal sleeves work great. I like a lot of the pheonixborn, and tend to bounce around with different builds :)

Hi Rodney I have a couple questions about the game. When you said at the beginning you MUST take a main action but later on it says you can pass the main action?? Also if you have say 7 cards in your hands when it comes to the prepare phase do you draw another 5 or do you just keep the 7 that you have? Or of course you can discard and then draw back up.
+MJGOLDHEART You must take a Main Action on your turn. One possible Main Action is listed as Passing.
When you draw during the Prepare phase, you draw "up to 5", so if you are already at 7, you draw nothing.

Hey I had a question about the false demon conjugation. The illusion ability says if this unit receives damage as a result of a units attack our counter destroy this unit. Is "counter" in that ability referring to counter attack? Or wound counter? Like say my opponent uses a dice ability or spell to deal 1 damage to false demon would that destroy it?
My understanding is that it is meant as a Counter Attack, but this might be good to follow up with Plaid Hat on.

So are there a set number of cards for this game that you buy all at once (such as a game like Dominion) or will it become more like a TCG (such as Magic the Gathering)?
William Liu If you are familiar with the LCG format, it's like that. In other words, unlike Magic The Gathering, there are no hidden cards and rarities. When you buy the game, you get the cards that everyone else gets. However, like Dominion, there will be expansions in the future to allow you to add new cards to your sets, but again, none of these will be in hidden packs, you simply buy the new cards and you can then build new styles of decks.
Hey got another question for you. Let's say I have 2 "summon masked wolf" spells in my spellboard. So if I use it twice in a round and has 2 exhaustion tokens on it.. When I refresh do I only remove 1 token or 1 token for each copy of summon masked wolf?
+Shiori If you have 2 Summon Masked Wolf spells, don't think of it as being able to use the same spell twice, but instead, you are able to use them each once. This means as you use each one, you just exhuast the one copy that you used.. Therefore, when you refresh and take 1 token of "each" spell, they "each" lose 1 exhaustion token and are both free to be used in the next round. Hope that helps!

Time 11:45, and a few other places. The Die used doesn't match the card!? therefore cannot be used right? the card requires a leaf like symbol but you used a frog like symbol

Hey Rodney, Question for you about your example where the masked wolf was being attacked by the 2 mist spirits. lets say the masked wolf didn't have the exhaustion counter on it and it and the player decided to counter with the wolf, would the wolf deal its 2 damage to 1 mist spirit or would the player be able to assign one point of damage to each?

+Shawn Risling If the ability has an exhaustion cost, then you place an exhaustion token on it when you use the ability. Exhausted units cannot attack. Hope that helps.
Can a Unit have multiple alternation spells? For example my silver snake has root armor, undying heart and spiked armor. Or only 1?
You can have multiple.
Question: (Rodney I know you have a son as well) What would you say is the minimum age to play this? I play Dice Masters and the Pokemon TCG with my son who is 9. This seems a bit more advanced. Would this be too much for him to handle, you think?
I really hesitate to say for someone else. It's so hard to know what adults will find confusing, let alone kids :) My son was playing this at 11.

Can you play multiple main actions or side actions that are not a "cost" during the same turn?
example: I attack the phoenix born, then after I attack a unit and I finish my main action by paying a card cost, which will end my main action automatically;
Or does using whatever main or side actions automatically end that action?
example: Using "attack a unit" ends my main action;
Also, can you use the same main actions or side actions multiple time during the same turn?
example: I attack an opponent's unit with one of mine and later in the same turn, attack another opponent's unit or the same with a different unit of mine. So, using the main action "attack a unit" twice during the same turn.

During each of your turns you can only perform a “single” Main and “single” side action. That said, on a future turn, you can perform the same main action again (but remember, you can’t use the same unit to perform that action, if it is exhausted). We have a full play through as well, and you find that helpful to watch, to see the rules in action.
The game is pretty good looking, however, the mecanics require way too much tokens and dices. Also the main issues is its complexity
Games are interesting that way - what one person finds easy, someone else will find complex. The key is finding the games that are the right fit for the complexity you want in games - if this video helped you avoid a game that might not be right for you, than I'm glad it helped :)

+You Win Yeap Yes that ends the player turn phase. Because as the rules say: "Play continues to pass clockwise until all players have consecutively chosen pass as their main action." (p6)

Can you attack multiple targets during an action phase? let's say can you use 2 mist spirits to attack one target and another 2 spirits to attack another target and both targets are enemy units.
how many times can a hero (i mean phoenixborn) guard an ally/conjuration during a turn (not a round) if your opponent decides to attack multiple targets with multiple monsters. i know that you said only a single 'unit' can be declared as a guard, but phoenixborns aren't units so can they guard multiple times in a single attack?
and can you use your phoenixborn to only partially defend?

can your phoenix born defend conjuration X by taking the damage from Conjuration Y and let Conjuration Z attack Conjuration X?

so finally, what would happen if your opponent sends her blood puppet to maeoni's side of the field, by killing the blood puppet on maeoni's turn with her side action, would maeoni's silver snake gets a status token from consume?
You can perform 1 Main Action and 1 Side Action during a turn. Attacking is a Main action. When attacking you either target a single unit or Pheonixborn.
So, during a single attack, no, you may not target multiple different units. BUT, on your next turn, you may attack again and target a new unit or Pheonixborn.
With that understanding, that should answer your guarding Pheonixborn question. As there will only ever be one target during each attack, the Pheonixborn can always block it.
If your Pheonixborn (or a unit with Unit Guard) steps in to defend another unit - it absorbs all the damage.
Yes, you can stack alterations.
Only one Reaction Spell may be played per turn (per player).
When a unit is on your side of the board, it is "your" unit, so your other cards will treat it that way.

Jess' redirect spell: when jess is being attacked by multiple conjurations. does redirect trigger after the first conjuration's attack and be used up or it triggers after all the conjurations have attacked and the cumulative damage goes to single unit. (assuming the opponent decides to attack jess with multiple units on his turn)
For specific card interactions, I think it would be best to follow up with the publisher themself, on their website - just because they would be the official authority on that sort of thing.

Good question, I've never really looked at the rules for more than 2 players, as I only play it 2 player.

From the Plaid Hat website: "Multiplayer doesn’t have any additional rules; you play the game with the same set-up and just add additional players. Everyone has the same goal, to be the last one standing."

Just bought the new expansions. Mind you my playing habits are never a good measure anyway. The requirements of the show mean that I am not often able to play older favorites on a consistent basis. The best measure for your enjoyment will probably be whether or not it's something you like the look of and can find people to play with.
Watch It Played well I was telling my nephew about how I used to play magic and he wanted me to teach him but that was years ago and I don't have cards anymore so I was looking at a good alternative to that and with this its not boosters really it's just expansions every so often.
Yep, I found the rare of releases for this game suited my schedule better than the typical CCG/LCG model.
Watch It Played thanks Rodney you've been very helpful to me. I was also looking at Star Wars Destiny because I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan but it's collectible and while I don't always need everything it helps to get more with games like that even to build or add to decks.
