- hi I love stir fried beef with ginger and scallion (spring onion)! The divine combination of ginger and tender beef is too irresistible - I need a plate of this now with a bowl of rice! salivating This is an easy stir-fry dish which I highly recommend anyone to remember the recipe by heart.

Ingredients:
Serves 4
Marinating the beef
-----
280g chuck tender - sliced thinly against the grain
2 teaspoons of corn flour
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
0.5 teaspoon of baking soda
2 tablespoons of water
A few dashes of pepper
The rest of the ingredients

7 - 8 slices of young ginger
2 onions - sliced thinly
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
2 tablespoon of dark soya sauce
2 tablespoons of light soya sauce (low sodium)
4 stalks of spring onion
1/2 cup of water
2 tablespoons of Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Huatiao Wine)

I tried this recipe 2x this week - absolutely wonderful taste and not difficult to prepare. I also added a few other vegetables (because I had them around) - boc choi, mushrooms, a little green pepper & bean sprouts and added them the same time as the spring onions. Delicious taste. OMG, best recipe! The beef is very soft and juicy as promised, and the spices are just perfect. I added bock cho, mushroom and 1/2 of red and yellow capsicum as I really like this combo. 👌🙏🙏🙏

I made this and it turned out really good! Although I didn't have a wok and used a saute pan, I'd recommend using less of the liquid if you don't have a proper wok because it took a long time for the sauce to thicken
Use corn starch and water mixture to thicken the sauce...
@Lavinia Tanzim You can use a little less water and/or you can thicken the sauce with a little corn starch slurry. Simply add 1 tsp of corn starch (corn flour if you're in the UK) to 1 Tb of water, stir well, and add. You can use a little more starch if it still isn't thick enough. But keep in mind, it will get thicker as the tiny grains of starch hydrate and heat up.

Just made this and it Has to be my absolute favourite stir fry recipe of all time . I had to substitute 1/2 tbsp fish sauce instead of oyester sauce and I also added 1 tbsp sweet berry wine and 1/2 tsp brown sugar to substitute the cooking wine because I didn’t have any . Its actually so simple and delicious everyone please try !

Warm olive, until very warm than add ginger and garlic, remove after the fragrants comes out, about one ☝️ minute on medium heat. than sauté either boneless, skinless chicken pieces or beef cubes with a little soy sauce...before you add back in the ginger and garlic along with spring onion. Delish every time! Smells so good!
