So… this is our new band…
Congratulations!!!! Hope listening more of your new band and music!!!! ❤
6:32 so ... You guys will have me on the show? I do pretty awesome covers... And I'd be lying if I was not inspired by pomplamoose doing "beat it" all those years ago.
So yeah, I'm thanking you in advance for when I'm on your show.
Pomplamag?
While I wouldn't be surprised to find out that you have a list a mile long of vocalists you'd like to work with, I just hope I'm not out of line dropping an introduction to the classically trained young Italian vocalist Giulia Falcone, fluent in three languages, with a wide range genres covered. Like Elise Trouw except a fuller voice this is the first song I heard her sing. ua-cam.com/video/fyMkoB29INQ/v-deo.html
I VERY much appreciate the "white uniform" look as it allows me to focus without distraction on the musicians, the music, the instruments. Very chill. Thank you, Magaziine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pomplamoose is a band and has been a brand since the beginning. It has always been refreshing to see to raise your tent pole to include other artists without losing your own creativity. So now Pomplamoose is a platform!! He suits Pomplamoose!!❤❤
As someone that LOVES pomplamoose, LOVES dead wax, loves the idea of scary pockets and LOVES the community of musicians you've been building, and loves your spirit of collaboration? This is great news for me.
Love it! There is not a musician on this earth gets "into" playing more than Jack.
IT’S BECAUSE MUSIC IS SO FUN111
@@Pomplamoose This comment makes me smile. Thanks so much, dears. Please keep that incredibly infectious energy. :)
kind of cringe tbh
Congratulations on building something so original and promoting other talent than just your own! Our hearts are with you as you continue to dream and move forward! Thank you for staying humble and yet pushing those boundaries! Much love to you both!
I wanna say I for one that I'm glad you're using your platform in a way thats resourcing for you and the artists you work with. Become a record label if you want. More power to ya!
Well, I actually VERY much appreciate the "white uniform" look as it allows me to focus without distraction on the musicians, the music, the instruments. Very chill. Thank you, Magaziine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really like the sound. Instruments feel very "retro" with the amazing synth. The dual vocal's breathy voices combined with how well they harmonize... ethereal. Very very cool.💎
Jack Conte must the bussiest musician I have ever noticed. I mean this guy is in so many songs, so many bands. Does he even sleep? Like does he have any other hobbies? But I get it, I can from his vibe that he loves this, so why not dedicate all life to it. :) Thanks Jack, you inspire me! You too Nataly, you are a really nice singer! Kisses!
He's also the head of Patreon.
@@tehdopefish That's his other hobby!
OMG! I literally asked Pomplamoose if they would do a cover of this song for the first dance at my wedding back in June. They were unable to do so but I guess this may have already been in the queue or maybe my email was their muse and spawned this... THANK YOU =) Much love from The Goas!
Awesome! As a songwriter I really understand that you want to create originals and as a listener I love both your covers and your originals, so this seems like a great solution!
Also I love how you guys are continuously aiming to improve the industry!
I have been looking for a band that was doing these kinds of songs. Synth is so good and we need more of it.
I LOVE the light visualization of played notes!
it feels so good to see an indication of "this is true".
Please let the drum "pad" shine too🤩
The harmony was amazing.
Erin Bentlage did the harmony arrangement. She’s incredible
That happens with autotune
This is such a vibe.
Don't ever stop!!! You are changing the world for the better!! Through the love of music and sharing your incredible talents and others you have easily uplifted my soul tenfold. Thank you!
I'm so glad you keep listening to the future, you keep taking risks, you go through all ups and downs, you work so freakin hard and you have so much fun, you are so much fun over all these years! Nataly and Jack, I'm so grateful you are with us here on planet earth
The Pomplamoose FRENCH LANGUAGE albums are still my favorite. This song sounds great, but I personally like a guitar in the band! Strictly my opinion and taste though! Thank you for the excellent music!
The best part of this channel is that it isn't "commercial" but it's actually about creativity. I grew up in the 70's with extremely creative bands named after their locality (Kansas/Boston/Chicago etc) and have missed that creativity in today's profit-driven homogenous lack of creativity. Pomplamouse/Magaziine is a breath of fresh air in this stale environment.
I don't mind profit but creativity comes first. Great work.
Had I not watched the outro to the music video, I probably wouldn't have known my thoughts validated about Magaziine. The dreamy vocals and harmonies gave me goosebumps, but overall it did feel like a synthwave version of Scary Pockets. I reference some of the Scary Pockets arrangements with Elise Trouw having a moderately similar vibe. But this is not a condemnation of Magaziine, just an observation of a lifelong musician that sees Pomplamoose, Scary Pockets and Magaziine all existing in a similar yet rarified atmosphere that has a noticeable indie funk component. If Magaziine is looking to set itself apart from the other two, composition and arrangements may need to push farther into the outlandish and experimental. Just a thought. You are all world class musicians and I esteem you highly. I wish I possessed just an ounce of your immense talent and capability. Blessings to all on your new venture.
starting this video and not seeing Natalie gave me the same reaction as seeing someone I like in Twitter’s “trending” section. like… OMG! what happened to Natalie!
thanks for clearing that up at the end. it’s a good thing to have more music to make.
As a music teacher, I would love if all your videos with magazine would visualize the live-playing of the musicians! More of this, please!
Love the new group and the musical textures that it brings to the channel. Everything you guys do is gold, love listening to all the amazing musicians you guys feature.
Love how you experiment with this channel. Can’t wait for more pomplamoose originals
As a piano man, thank you so much for making a band where it’s cool to be a keyboard player. 🥳
you must be a younger person that has never heard of Roger Hodgson of Super Tramp.
Don't stop, won't stop. You guys are amazing!
Brilliant - I have followed you for a good number of years now and you never stop being excellent creators and are always looking for ways to get more creativity out there.
I must admit to being exited about more new Pomplamoose originals!
A big thank you for being so committed and passionate about your art!
So excited for this new era! Sad but something to look forward to for sure!
Great track, really excited to hear more from Magaziine, and more original music from Pomplamoose. Best wishes from NZ.
Sounds really good!! Will be waiting for more music!!
I'm always down for more synthwave.
if 80's style has been a trend for years, why not go all the way and beyond. chapeau!
The amazing amount of work that goes into your music and your productions is so clearly evident in every detail of the visuals and the sound. You provide your audience with an open window into the world of music and music production that lays a path for others to follow.
Congratulations- Thanks so much, and can't wait to see what you do with this next iteration!!
Yeah, I'm down with this.
This is so good! I am loving the high energy mixed with the chill sound. Looking forward to more.
Woooow, getting huge Clean Bandit / Rasmus Faber vibes from this…phenomenal!!
Love it, love you both. The talent showcased is awesome.
I do like it! Thank you folks!
This feels like the descendant of Jack's work in electronic music back in the day. LOVING it very much, it just makes me happy 🙂
I've been excited about things before, sure, but I don't think I've ever been as BEARD-RUBBINGLY-EXCITED as Nataly is at 6:46 lmao
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing (and hearing) what comes of this!
There's already a band called Magazine. From the UK. They were punk/new wave/rock. Actually a pretty good band. I used to listen to them a lot in the 80's.
There's also this band: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magazin
That's probably why they used two "i"s in their name, if I was to guess.
I once tried to help a friend of mine find a name for his band. He had a great one in mind but another band was already using it. I tried several of my ideas and they were all taken. Finally, as a final "F-it" I thought I'd try the most ridiculous name I could think up so I searched for a band named "The Shit Birds". Nope it was taken. I gave up.
Right , Howard Devoto may have sompin to say. And using two "i'"s wont stop music industry lawyers. SUITE UP!!!!!
@@rudebuddha4895 I've had the same experience, but with DJ names. I gave up after "DJ Beat Loaf" was taken.
So awesome to see synths featured this way! I'm excited to see what comes from this new venture and experiment!! Really good first entry and fabulous intro!
i dont rmb ever leaving any youtube comments but i've been following u guys for a long time and i rly appreciate how adamant you've been in ur creative journey. The first video i saw was the (historical) Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy cover >10 yrs ago, when i was in junior yrs of high school. I was, and still am, stunned by ur talent and quirky creativity. Later I learnt that Jack is also the founder of Patreon - i believe the platform is life-changing to many creators out there. u guys are totally an inspiration. keep it up!
The arrangement on this song is really A+.
You guys are amazing. Keep rocking.
Very exciting! I can’t wait for more ❤
Wonderful... I'm looking forward to more wonderful music. THANKS! 🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
Once again, single handedly transforming both UA-cam and the music industry. Amazing! I love it! Do all the things (that you love, and are good at, or you want to be better at, and can draw more people into)! One day the music will have Six Degrees of Pomplamoose (the equivalent of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, but funkier).
Love you guys! Great music! I appreciate your hard work, spontaneity, humor and sincerity in following your passion and sharing that with other people that love music!
Yay, I'm the 1K liker of this video! 🙂 Been following you guys/girls since forever. Was dancing in the living room to this one. Great work! Thank you so much for spreading music and fun.
WOW - SUPER! You guys keep getting better and better! Expanding the talent and creativity is a good thing. Go for it!
Loved the look of the band, and the music of course
I love this so much and I am so excited. You guys are so inspiring!
Love it guys, a beautiful sound, well done.
There was already a band called Magazine, the lead singer was called Howard Devoto.
That was Magazine, a post-Buzzcocks project in the '70s. This is Magaziine, but yes, there's also already a Magaziine. www.youtube.com/@magaziine7967/about
Great idea, have fun !!!!😀😀😀
Great band name! Congratulations to you all! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
your love for synths show up in every project you can get your hands on, what u did on the american boy cover w the scary pockets is truly amazing sound design
totally on for it, keep it coming
What a fright! I thought it was the 80's Brazilian band called Magazine!
This is wonderful news and I am here for it.
Arielle Kasnetz and Anilee List voices are incredible!
loving this juxtaposition of live/synth and those vocals!
I´m so happy to know this. I´v been missing the pomplamoose originals
You are so great guy's! Happy that I can listen to these great fun emotional pieces!❤️
I for one love this! I definitely am into synth wave dream pop vocal harmonic stuff...... YES!
LOVE it !! Love the synths. Love the ethos. Love the idea. Love you guys!!! Thank you.
Simply. Awesome.
Happy happy. Good Luck guys!
yay !! Bravo, always brilliant.
Looked y'all up after being reminded of your music after many years... Only to find this. Wow. The timing is insane and definitely on my side! Love it
Just absolutely awesome! ✌🏻
Good news for all synth lovers !
Great sound, bright music, 'love it !
Guys, you are so great, you deserve all the good things 🙂Thank you for sharing your art with us!
Sounds like a symbiosis of Fleetwood Mac and Electropop. I like it
Very nicely done!!
It's a surprisingly common band name, I must say. I know three with it (one brazilian!). Great news!
Awesome. love your work.
Omg Anilee!!! So deserving!! Can’t wait to hear more!!
❤❤You guys, both your brilliant originals and covers music.Totally awesome idea showcasing new artists through your channel.
Love seeing the enthusiasm you both exude for your art.Totally enjoy watching all the musicians involved in the music you produce displaying their thorough enjoyment throughout the videos.😍😍😍🎼🥇
Ohhh...okay. I was pleasantly confused for a bit. Thank you for the explainer. It sounds like a great plan and a great idea, and I look forward to seeing more.
I hope you cover 'A Song From Under the Floorboards' also by Magazine.
Great cover. Loving this version! Look forward to the originals you guys are working on. 👏👏👍
Five thumbs up to more original music from Natalie with a sustainable process.
Love it as all what you guys do!
Yaasaasssaaaaaaaahdjfidn! More Natalie originals! This is the best news I've heard in a long, long time.
I can now survive the midterms.
I am excited for this. I love synthwave.
Love it! 💜
Well done!!!!!! 👍👏
we are also excited like you in this new project ¡¡ waiting for your work, thank you very much ¡¡
I'd love to hear more original music! You have a great sound. Discofunk lives!
This is actually a cover of Haddaway's What is Love, so basically they're still doing covers. Excellent covers, but still covers.
Awesome! Amazing quality in every aspect, love you guys! Ciao! 💙
Great sound! Love the simple approach for the video.
Really loving this groove. I like the name because it's so descriptive of what you're wanting to do with it, and also the vibe. I see Scary Pockets as your homage to the 1970s Funkadelic joy that was, Magaziine is now you're homage to 1980's synthy fun and pop, and Pomplamoose is just *YOU*. No project really treading on another musically, everything working much like what y'all were saying in the video - in cool harmonies. Can't wait for the next year!
Baby Don’t hurt me…
Love it! You guys rocks! 🎉
I saw the video title, then I saw the song choice, and I thought "Is it called Magaziine because... it's a cover band?".
Man . . . I fuckin' love ya'll! Just modelling possibilities and creating space for artists to do what they do. And you do all that with so much charm!
Brilliant. I enjoy this very much keep up the amazing work!!🎉😊
That could have been the actual song and would have been just as iconic as its inspiration. That was amazing!!!
Your passion for sharing is most inspiring. I love you :)
