It’s still amazing to me how much work went into SEVEN SECONDS of music and video. We’ve worked with Rhett and Link before. We’ve been on the show and seen how it works. But the team they’ve assembled still amazes me.

I love it when you guys do behind the scenes work here and on Scary Pockets. The "We turned “Beautiful People” into a musical" and "How We Arrange & Record Songs: Black Hole Sun" are my favorite videos you have made on both channels. They show how a simple five minute video take hours to create with so much back and forth before anyone meets up in person.
I love seeing Chase in his producer element; we so often see him doing the crazy stuff in front of the camera, but love seeing how professional and good he is at his job.
And of course seeing Jack's creative process behind the music, looooove it
What a chameleon he is. So silly on set, but so smoothly and confidently professional behind the scenes. 👍👍👍

It reminds me that not only are Rhett, Link, and Stevie pretty much just talent for the GMM machine part-time, while their full time job is a lot more involved and professional, but Chase is like that as well.
Seeing Chase rise over the years from a PA to someone in charge of something as integral as the theme song is awesome to see!

I honestly thought the new intro was cgi, im shocked they did that so amazingly with practical effects.. outstanding job to both teams!

Man, the amount of detail that went into the miniatures for 7 seconds of video is unreal. No wonder Rhett and Link have had such longevity as the attention to detail is astounding. Oh, and the song is awesome too ;p.

Not everything comes together easily. Some things happen over a period of time. Some of the most iconic themes have taken lots of time to create while some just happened. It's like when filming videos for UA-cam. The end result you see take lots of time and takes to get down right. Rhett & Link don't just do things in one take. It doesn't just happen like that.
Especially for the visual elements. You can barely register some of those details they were talking about, like the little people in the scenes.
I had no clue how much work was put into just the theme song/video. And it’s literally like a whole movie set in front of the desk that you don’t even know about.This is amazing!! I already had a lot of respect for Rhett and Link (love watching them), but man…I’m on a whole other level of respect not just for them, but everyone else that puts in so much work to make their channel happen!
As a music producer, 142 layers of audio is just insane to think about for only 7 seconds. That probably doesn't include all of your automations, mixing, and mastering inside of ableton. Props!

Every bit of the creation of the ten year intro, every individual involved every clip, every moment, it all just fills me with a pride to be a minuscule part of a bigger thing that has done so much good to do many people’ lives that it kind of swells me with a happiness that almost makes me tear up

Congrats pomplamoose on this! I loved seeing the process of the sketching different versions and revisioning :) I do some work on fiver as a guitarist/composer and I can definitely relate to some of that endless tweaking before getting to the final take where everyone's super happy :)

I haven’t watched GMM in ages but back then when the music changed from the library one to Pomplamoose’s was the time that GMM finally clicked to me. It also felt back then that “from that moment on” the spirit of the whole thing changed.
Ben's description of the show is perfect: organized chaos, that's what makes it so good!
Another fun point here this the way you shot this and that it's by yourself gives it a Matt Damon on Mars feeling.

This video was amazing! Loved seeing the behind the scenes work for both the music and the visuals! So much detail that you wouldn’t even know about. Also, I love the details in the video like layering the beatboxing onto the next scene of the construction. So good!

I love how that original had a "Pomplamoose" chord (or maybe it's a chord progression?) in it. I'm not good enough to say which beats it's in, but it's at 2:14- 2:15 when it goes a different way than your brain is expecting. Love it. I know they take too long to make, and I love "modern" Pomplamoose, but I do love those old videos with the awesome lo-fi miniature sets with projections and things. That's what got me into everything that's followed.

You can really tell everyone involved put in an incredible amount of work to make this happen and I dare say it was well worth it!

That was a great mini doc! I really enjoyed how you not only made the theme and participated in the creation but also presented the behind the scenes process that was taking place on the other side. For only being 14 minutes long you managed to stuff so much more into it!
The whole thing is so unbelievable. I've been watching GMM since season 2, and I've only started listening to you guys last year. I didn't know you worked on the version of the intro I love. I feel part of like a giant single space and I love it.

As a video creator, it is always so cool to see the behind the scenes of projects other creators are working on. The sheer size of the Mythical team, and all of the cool stuff they are doing always blows my mind. Rhett and Link are my biggest inspirations for following my dreams, and I can only hope to build something half the size of Mythical one day. It is truly amazing what they have accomplished in 10 years. Congratulations guys and here's to another 10 years.

I remember hearing that original theme in a pharmaceutical commercial on cable. I was 14 and was already editing videos for three years and it dawned on me that it was royalty free music. Which is why when they soon added their own theme, i thought it was awesome!
That's quite impressive the sets and the music are amazing....yall did an amazing job on that....and watching link and rhett i had never really realized all the details in the sets in the intro ....now i will be paying attention to all the little details yall have thrown in. Great job

As an aspiring musician myself seeing how much work is going on in the background for that small piece of music is so inspiring and fascinating to me.
I will still always love the first version, it just feels like home! Lol. But this is a fun new take, I don’t know how you do it. It’s so much work for such a quick thing. I feel like that makes it 100x harder! Brilliant job!
