Lizard was such a simple but terrifying villain. You really felt like the second Spider-Man got caught by him, it could be over. He also has such a ferocity to his attacks, really become animalistic instead of just being a guy with a tail who stands and punches. Excited to see him return in No Way Home and see what they do with him
cause this spiderman sukcs at fighting he kept runing away and you could aruge that he was injured but still look at tobey or toms spiderman inspite injuries they keep figthing.

Andrew’s Spider-Man is an opportunist who relies on webs and surprising the enemy. This is only bad against something dangerous like the lizard, who would have the advantage the moment he grabs Peter.

All the villains were under-utilised and underwhelming in no way home lol. Just saw it today, wish they did more with their capabilities. It was quite shallow but still nice to see them all on screen!
You mean it should have been over. He literally killed the captain without getting ahold of him. Took like two seconds to ram his claws into his chest. He had Spiderman dead to rights.
The music, the swinging scenes, the actions, the chemistry between Gwen and Peter, the villian Lizard are so underrated they deserve more love than they got.

I am not a fan of 3D but in this movie the 3D really worked, especially because it was shot with Red Epic 3D camera. I think Spidey is the Superhero best suited for 3D format because he looks so cool while swinging to & fro.
That healing factor is actually insane. He was being dowsed in liquid nitrogen and had several body parts blown off and he walks it off in seconds.

Captain Stacy really went out like a hero. I also love that connors as soon as he has his mind back he mentions the captain meaning he knows he messed up and he hurt him. Connors wasn’t a monster he just lost control.
I don't know why, but I've always loved the transition shot at 1:10. Using the antidote and the lizard serum as a focal point between the shots just looks so creative to me

in my opinion the reason why a lot of fans weren't originally thrilled with this version of Spider-Man because for many he was filling the shoes of Tobey. Thus, the expectations were much higher. But now after seeing Holland's version, Garfield does a way better job without the need of the Avenger's help. Peter doesn't need Iron Man or a suit to lecture him about his powers. Spider-Man is automatically a bad ass

I honestly don't know why people hate The Amazing Spiderman and The Amazing Spiderman 2, I loved them, just like I loved each other spiderman movie. I prefer these more than the other ones because of how accurate it is to the comics and how it shows that spidermans life isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
I personally feel like Toby had the right balance of the ups and downs of being Spiderman. He got as many L's as he got W's. Andrew kind of got every shaft he could get tbh

3:44 It’s impressive how the Lizard can regenerate limbs and tails so well and fast. His regeneration abilities don’t compare to characters like Wolverine or Deadpool, but they are still cool.
5:30 I’ve always wondered why the arm falls and breaks apart as soon as the Lizard DNA leaves Connors’ system. If the DNA regenerates the arm (bones and all) then why does he lose it all over again when it wears off and/or when it’s removed? Is it like an organ transplant? Does his body reject the arm when the Lizard DNA is out of his system?
Also, why does the Lizard DNA make him act crazy and take over? Is it because the project was rushed and not done properly?

Garfield always had the best "thwip" sound affect and web shooters (in the 1st one, I hated the new shooter design in TASM2) and practical costume, I liked that it's the only costume that never looks too "touched up" by CGI, I also love that u can see the seems where the mask ends and suit begins ect... all the things I love were changed for the worse I'm TASM2.. the ribbing on his suit was toned wayyyy down, web shooters looked like a toy, and the kool eyes were made bigger (I kno they changed it because of how "sinister" or "angry scowl" the mask looked in certain angles) but that's actually why I loved the eyes in the 1st TASM. the eyes gave a menacing look that imo made him way more intimidating to the bad guys, but since Sony was trying to sell toys they didn't want the mask to "scare kids" so they changed it into that goofy anime "bugeyed" look in 2... it was a complete costume downgrade rather than upgrade.. no ribbing, toy shooters, the suit had a wierd shiny material in place of the awesome ribbed rubber suit, and the eyes were way too big!

Between Holland and Macguire, I liked Garfield the most out of all the Spider-Man actors. The first had no quips, and Holland is just a kid, but Garfield's had a sense of humor, just enough seriousness that you knew that he meant business, and just enough immaturity to show that this Spider-Man was still on a learning curb.
Garfield, Holland, Hammond, and Maguire- in that order.

The TASM 1 suit is the symbol of a reboot. It's a combination of new material, patterns and colors, and the classic design as a whole. I think of it similar to how the Bumblebee was designed in the Transformers movies

After all, it makes me happy to see people finally starting to like the TASM series, that's what makes me happy. It's been my favorite for years, but no one agreed with me. Being alone is really sad.
This scene cemented this as my favorite Spiderman. The construction workers helping him out (which was just before this but left out for some reason) was pretty powerful.

These 2 movies will still always be hands down my favorite live action Spider-Man movies. Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man. He played a great Peter Parker if Peter was supposed to be a suave pretty boy, not so much the comic accurate Peter so I get the complaints there but still love it. The lighting, tone, cinematography, choreo for the fight scenes, the suits, the movement, all top tier in my opinion. I even love the 2nd movie despite the gripes I understand from people

Gosh Andrews Spider-Man definitely has the most tragic life. Two people close to him die in a single movie. Then the love of his life dies in the second movie and he was so close to saving her. And his best and only friend betrayed him. Everyone saying toms life is more tragic because of no way home which is just not true at all. It’s wayyyy better to have your girlfriend forget you than her die. And also wayyy better to have your friend forget you than him turn against you and become an evil villain.
With the more grounded amazing spider man movies I think that Kraven would have been a good villain

With Connors returning here from No Way Home, let's hope that he still managed to grab Peter before he fell off the building. Since Connors was fully cured by the point he returned home, that means he didn't have his right lizard arm to grab Peter here in the new reality. Let's hope that he managed to save Peter with his left human arm like how he did when his right arm started breaking apart. If Connors didn't manage to grab Peter in time then let's hope that Peter managed to stick to the wall with his spider powers. The only other difference I can think of with this new branch reality with Connors returning here from the events of No Way Home is that he would probably not say "The captain" at 6:04. With Connors adjusting back to his reality, he probably would have not remembered quickly enough what he did to Captain Stacy. Unless he did remember quickly. Just some thoughts I was thinking of.

Whenever I saw people talk about this movie it was always trash talk about how bad it was and nowadays people make memes about Andrew not being able to catch Gwen unlike the other 2 Spider-Men. Ever since NWH all I see now are bandwagons among the people like me who loved the ASM movies. I’ve always loved this movie and the second one and never understood why people hated on it so much. I have nothing but love for these movies
I loved these two films. And I love that they actually followed through and showed that your choices and actions have consequences, and you have to bare that. Gwen was killed because Peter didn’t listen to the captains dying wish. Nowadays it would be that she nearly got killed but got saved at the last minute and it’s all happily ever after… fuck that. That doesn’t happen in real life, not often anyway. These movies felt grounded in reality when you overlook the supernatural elements of them. They did an excellent job in portraying Peter as a character and taught kids around the world the harsh but necessary lessons that things don’t always go your way, and if you make the wrong choice, you pay the price. Not to mention the CGI in these films looks amazing, especially so given when they were made. And I personally really like the quips and jokes Peter makes throughout when fighting. It’s like an everyday job for him being a hero, and come on, who doesn’t have banter with their ‘work colleagues’ if you will? These two films were great superhero films, definitely up there with The Dark Knight

The sigh the Peter takes when Stacy takes his last breath really seals the deal as Andrew being the best spider man. You can tel that’s the first time watching someone die in front of him. (Ben was already dead when he got to him) he WATCHES Stacy take his last breath which really affects Peter and makes him realize how serious being spider man is. You CANT save everyone, and like he said “you’re gonna make enemies people are gonna get hurt” and this is immediately nailed in by watching him take his last breath. Which Peter (remember is a sophomore in high school, a kid.) was probably not ready to see. But he needed to see it to solidify his character growth. And Andrew acting is just mwah 🤌 perfection. People saying he did a bad job are LYING and you won’t convince me he’s a bad spider man. He’s the best idc end of story
Lizard is the most underrated Spider-Man villain.
& it makes it so much better because of how his role played in part 2 , very good villain , kept this movie very entertaining as he played his role good before he even translated into a lizard , such a great movie 💯!

The Lizard was a great villain.
1:58 - 2:03 was smooth as hell
I felt like Lizard, as far as Spiderman villains in movies go, was kinda weak. He can't fly like Vulture, he isn't a tech genius with holotech like Mysterio, he doesn't have extra extending metal arms like Doc Ock, etc.
As long as Spidey keeps his distance, Lizard literally can't do anything. Lizard had to throw stuff at Spidey here to try and catch him. If Spidey actually had his Spider Sense here, Lizard would have had zero chance.
