That “atta boy” was so pure with intent. Goblin finally got what he wanted. What he couldn’t achieve with his Spider-Man (Tobey) he achieved with Tom’s Spider-Man.
That ground pound at 3:16 gets me every time I see it. He was trying to put a hole in Green Goblin's chest with that slam. Peter is always pulling his punches, but when he stops, he's fighting to kill and everyone knows it.
The bad thing about the original Spider-Man movie is that Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (played by Willem Defoe) - probably one of the best comic book movie villains - was killed off. This movie did the fantastic thing of having Willem Defoe return and play the character again, and do a fantastic job of doing it. I personally think that Defoe's performance in this movie topped the previous time he played GG.
At 1:00 I feel for Garfield's Spider-Man here. He's going through a PTSD trip right there. I can't get over how good of an actor he is. That final fight might be one of the best scenes in a spiderman movie. You can literally see and feel Spider-Man’s true powers not being held back and it’s so clear. In the apartment fight, Peter took a beating but when things changed you can see it wasn’t even a fair fight. At 3:54 you can see he stops pulling his punches and at that point Goblins face was just a punching bag. Just shows that if Spiderman really wanted to do damage, nobody stands a chance.

Anybody else realized that both Toby's Spider-Man in the first movie and Tom's Spider-Man in this movie were both only able to defeat Green Goblin after they let go of their restraints and were out for blood.
Tony stoping the glider and helping cure the goblin was redemption, Andrew saving mj was redemption and Tom sacrificing his life basically was redemption. This movie was brilliant and no one talks about it. The way they wrapped up 8 films in one scene while giving us the uncle Ben line from may and re-introducing daredevil to the MCU 👏 my favorite Spider-Man movie and I seen them all in theaters
In the first Spider-Man movie, the Green Goblin was wearing a ridiculous mask. In this movie, he ditches the mask almost immediately, and we got to see William DaFoe's face, which is why his character works so incredibly well in _No Way Home._
He did most of his own stunts, too, like he did in the OG movie. He wouldn't come back unless they let him. He was a badass then and he's a badass now.
This is probably the best 3rd act out of any Spiderman movie, ever. This whole movie was amazing, but honestly, without the 3rd act it wouldn't be as phenomenal as it is now. Thank you Jon watts for this masterpieceful fan fair of a Spiderman film.
Strange said, "everyone who KNOWS and loves you... we... we would have no memory of you." I guess you're free to interpret the way you like, but those little details do matter to some people

Dafoe is what made the Green Goblin the scariest Spiderman villain. It's not that the Goblin is the most powerful--Dafoe's acting just made him the best and most creepy villain.
Tobey stopping the Peter from killing the Goblin is the ...single best... scene in the entire movie. Whole volumes of history, passion, regrets, experiences, decisions and hope are all expressed in a wordless moment. THAT my friends is good writing, talented acting, steller filmography, and skillful editing.
The scene where he talks to strange about making everyone forget. Shows how much he's matured, he ralises he needs to give up everythign to keep people safe. No matter the consequences
Something about when Tom’s spidey breaks the pumpkin bomb out of the glider and jams it into said glider with so much rage, it just makes me legit feel like In that moment is when the bloodlust started for goblin
I don't think enough people pay attention to just how powerful those pumpkin bombs were. It's nice that this movie showed how much power they packed, because it goes to show how durable Spider Man is for having taken one to the face back in Spider Man 1.
Just shows you how strong any of the Spider-Man’s can be when they don’t pull their punches/hold back. They can easily beat Captain America if they really wanted to.
At the end of the battle only 3 good characters in the whole title film has found their redemption at long last. And they are Dr. Octopus, Peter 3, and Peter 2. I really do cared about the 3 Dudes so darn much and they were the best part about this movie Hands Down. Is because of their fish out out of water storylines.
I just realized how powerful Goblin really is to be able to tank punches from a Spiderman that isn't holding back anymore. Peter literally ground pound the giant captain America shield making a huge dent trying to hit Goblin, and now he's directly hitting him with that same force. That Goblin serum is serious.
Amazing Spidey saving MJ so that another peter wouldn't feel the loss he felt Raimi Spidey freeing and saving Osborn help to not only save a Spider-man from nearly becoming what he was in his third movie, but also getting a chance to undo something that caused his friendship with Harry to be wrecked and affecting both their lives.
I find it funny how people think Norman was "cured", while Norman was never this crazy, he always had a narcissistic and greedy personality. While the board did him dirty by removing him from his own company, it was clear that none of them liked him either, including the military. You can even see a hint of that after he was "cured" when he saw that Toby was hurt and then had a "smug" like facial expression for a second before he said "What have I done?"
I was starting to feel like I was the only person that remembered what a prick Norman Osborn was from the rip. Goblin or no Goblin, Norman was a dick. The Goblin just made him a slightly bigger dick. Dude knew full well that serum could drive him mad and murderous, yet he did it anyway like the arrogant asshat he was, and looked what happened because of it. I had not an ounce of sympathy for him. If I were Peter, after he said "what have I done", I would've knocked his teeth out.
The way you see Andrew's Spider-Man save MJ really lets the viewers know how much he has rehearsed, in his head, preventing a death like Gwen's. It's really nice that he was able to redeem himself and perhaps find it in his heart to forgive himself for Gwen's death. And you know what the best part is? All of that is shown subliminally through the phenomenal acting.
FINALLY, ive wanted to see spider not pull punches for so long, people over look the final fight, he crushes the shield likes its nothing, you can had hear the soundbarrier breaking when hes punching goblin on his knees, people keep seeing spiderman as a side hero but hes stronger than 90% of the avengers, only hulk and thor could beat him
We never saw Garfield and Holland's Spider-Man getting the symbiote but both of them had a few dark moments, darker than Bully Maguire: Garfield in a deleted scene killed his goblin, while Holland tried to kill Dafoe's goblin. Both of them stopped pulling their punches before getting the symbiote. Hope to see them wearing the symbiote and get the silent Spider-Men, the ones who are not joking anymore.
Bro After Peter called to mj and ned saying you ok, then turns back to goblin bro the face expression change is crazy bro was mad!! rightfully so 2:43 the fight between peter and goblin shows' the experience he has gained of fighting since Civil War Tom Holland has already been Spiderman for 8 years, bro was 20 when first came in he is almost 30 now
If Peter ever stops pulling his punches like in this scene it's actually over for you. If the MCU was comics accurate he's actually stronger than Captain America. He's also incredibly quick, and with his spider sense and web shooters, is basically a one-on-one matchup nightmare. Goblin had no chance.
No fancy kicks or anything (outside of the cool slam move) just a straight beat down. While also every single version Peter has had moments where they are angry and want vengeance but they all still find that light for the most part.

That “atta boy” was so pure with intent. Goblin finally got what he wanted. What he couldn’t achieve with his Spider-Man (Tobey) he achieved with Tom’s Spider-Man.
Andrew saving MJ and his reaction makes this whole thing. That was excellent storytelling for redemption for any movie
Unfortunately it was a comic relief scene when she asked him plus his reaction...
When I saw it in theatre, I whispered, "Oh, nailed it THAT time." And then Andrew started to cry, and I felt horrible.
@@newskenger3885 Comic relief? Were you born in a nightclub or what?
Brilliant in his Spider-Man Series, absolutely nailed the role of Private Desmond Doss. He maybe B or even A tier actor in Hollywood be he is an S tier actor in my book.
OG Peter strong AF and can take a stab like its nothing that's that old man strength while calm too. Says a lot for his power and control
In case you didn't watch the original movies. The Tobey Spiderman stopped a train from going off a bridge hes strong AF probably the strongest in terms of raw strength

@@BlizzardholocronAnd Tobey didn't really stop the train, only slowed it down. Wanna get into details or what? The fact that he was able to hold that ferry, even if for a little time, shows how strong he is. We'll never know what would have happened if Tony never arrived. But i'm sure Peter would be able to save the situation.
0:47 the way Andrew did that you can tell he's replayed in his head a thousand times how he failed with Stacy and what he could have done different,
and it obviously still burdens him
4:49 i think in that moment, everyone who wad watching in the cinema, have huge heart attack

My sister sure did lol. She grew up watching Tobey as Spidey
I didn’t, bro legit survived multiple stabbed wounds in his movies and lived
I screamed as if bro could’ve heard me

That final fight might be one of the best scenes in a spiderman movie. You can literally see and feel Spider-Man’s true powers not being held back and it’s so clear. In the apartment fight, Peter took a beating but when things changed you can see it wasn’t even a fair fight. At 3:54 you can see he stops pulling his punches and at that point Goblins face was just a punching bag. Just shows that if Spiderman really wanted to do damage, nobody stands a chance.

Where's daredevil
When I was 10 I didn't notice how lunatic it is Willem Dafoe Green Goblin, I only realize how crazy he is in NWH compared to other villains 😂
Willem Defoe definitely deserves an Oscar award for the green goblin
When she asked Andrew if he was ok, I ain’t gonna lie I teared up bad. The look on andrews face

Amongst all the heroes in the MCU, Spider-Man is one of the few that were done real dirty in the end.
Loses everyone, no one knows who Peter Parker is, he is now just Spider-Man to NY.

He knew that was gonna happen but he accepted it because heroes have to make the hard choices.

I will always love how strange makes a point to say “we” instead of “they”.
Dafoe is what made the Green Goblin the scariest Spiderman villain. It's not that the Goblin is the most powerful--Dafoe's acting just made him the best and most creepy villain.
He may not be the most powerful, but he still has beyond superhuman strength.
I agree!

I am SO glad you kept the last lines between Maguire and Garfield. Those cracked me up so much.
3:16 that sent shivers down my spine. He could’ve fr crushed his whole body
I love the look Tobys spidey gives Toms the look of a disappointed father saying "we went over this"
I don't think enough people pay attention to just how powerful those pumpkin bombs were. It's nice that this movie showed how much power they packed, because it goes to show how durable Spider Man is for having taken one to the face back in Spider Man 1.
Willam Dafoe was really the highlight of this movie. He still plays the goblin so well. Arguably even better than before.
Just shows you how strong any of the Spider-Man’s can be when they don’t pull their punches/hold back. They can easily beat Captain America if they really wanted to.
All of them are wonderful actors here - from the action to the facial changes. Well done all around.
Willem Dafoe proved one thing in this movie... he IS THE GOBLIN... no one can replicate it...
Fight went exactly how it should’ve. Tom’s Spiderman has literally fought in wars between superheroes and pretty much just put Green Goblin to sleep.
Amazing Spidey saving MJ so that another peter wouldn't feel the loss he felt
Raimi Spidey freeing and saving Osborn help to not only save a Spider-man from nearly becoming what he was in his third movie, but also getting a chance to undo something that caused his friendship with Harry to be wrecked and affecting both their lives.
2:56 One of the greatest quotes in movie history
Andrew Peter: You’re in so much pain, huh? 🙂
Tobey Peter: I am. 🙂
😂
“Y-yeah, I’ve been stabbed before”
“Oh gooood good good good”
😂
If I were Peter, after he said "what have I done", I would've knocked his teeth out.
that "i am." by tobey at the end is exactly the kind of humor his character used in the original trilogy as peter. its wonderful
FINALLY, ive wanted to see spider not pull punches for so long, people over look the final fight, he crushes the shield likes its nothing, you can had hear the soundbarrier breaking when hes punching goblin on his knees, people keep seeing spiderman as a side hero but hes stronger than 90% of the avengers, only hulk and thor could beat him
Did strange just sneakily admit he loves peter?
Strange: Anyone who knows and loves you, *_we_* would forget
7:43 missed opportunity to say strange!
Bro After Peter called to mj and ned saying you ok, then turns back to goblin bro the face expression change is crazy bro was mad!! rightfully so 2:43
the fight between peter and goblin shows' the experience he has gained of fighting since Civil War
Tom Holland has already been Spiderman for 8 years, bro was 20 when first came in he is almost 30 now
If Peter ever stops pulling his punches like in this scene it's actually over for you.
Green goblin: you kill me, you become me, either way, i live. Tom really got the trauma of every Spider-Man simply because he didn’t listen to Strange, I doubt it would’ve even happened
I never realized that Tom Holland's Spider-Man does the same dodging move that Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man does in the first Spider-Man movie, during the apartment fire scene 0:06
