Imagine being in sandman’s perspective in this scene. “Why the fuck does this scumbag care about some random old man that got shot 4 years ago?” 😂😂😂😂😂
A detail that goes unnoticed: Peter had no idea Flint could survive having his head shoved and grinded by a moving train. He went through with that action with the intent to kill him in such a painful way. Raimi was really trying to let us know how violent, brutal and savage Peter had become and how poisonous the symbiote had become
But he did because he fought him earlier and shot web bullets through his chest.
lol. He fought sandman when he's chasing him in the heist. He punch him and his fist went through then spiderman got shock because his body is made of sand.
Even though people recognize that peter saw sandman abilities before, the fact that peter still tried to grind his head knowing that knowledge just enough was to show that if it was anyone else with powers they would not last 1-2 mins tops
He knew, he literally punched Marko through the chest in his normal form, shot webs through him, and kicked his legs off of his body. He knew his abilities already.
@@kaijuslayer3334 I think he meant that Peter thought Sandman needed his head to remain a conscious entity, so he tried decapitating him

I know people give this movie a lot of hate. But this is one of the scenes in it that saves it all for me. This scene shows how extreme Peters hatred and anger has become. He embraces the pain to fuel him to destroy. His ark of peace at the finale when he forgives Flint is amazing. This plot line ties together so well.
Fr and even tho you shouldn’t necessarily be making plot points in your head it’s nice to see how many plants were in this movie showing what could’ve been like the harry and peter arc was tied up in this movie so beautifully venom is legit just a plot device to drive it forward and it doesn’t feel bad venom still just as a representation of peters anger confusion and hate is a great character JUST for that reason. Sandman being the voice of making the right decisions even in the depths of accusations and revenge Peter saw the man who murdered his uncle someone who he thought was so callous ask for forgiveness see that he was only ever trying to save his daughter. I love the "Everything!" after Flint asks "what does it matte to you anyway?" so much. There's so much venom and hatred behind it, you get exactly why Peter said it after watching the previous movies.
A lot of people don't realize how Peter saying 'Good riddance' isn't just a quip. As far as he knows, he's just killed Sandman, and he has absolutely no problem with it, showing how much the symbiote has corrupted him
Edit: to all the edgelords in the comments saying that sandman deserved to die, or that I would 'defend rapists, murderers etc', the world isn't black and white. And go rewatch the damn movie. Sandman didn't want nor mean to kill uncle Ben, he only did so by accident and he felt remorse over it. Sandman is NOT A BAD PERSON.

Unlike Tom who took his mask off every 2 seconds, so much that he nearly destroyed the multiverse cause he couldn't keep the thing on
Tom's version didn't feel like the OG Spiderman at all. He sounded and seemed like a punk kid.
Honestly the biggest problem about modern day spider-man iterations is that they see him as a "UwU so soft Cinnamon roll" who's always nervous when in the actual comics he's a pretty confident dude who can genuinely get mad, he just seems like a weirdo to his classmates and keeps to himself bringing out a lotta that swagger as Spider-Man until his college days where he meets Gwen, and harry, bringing it out as Peter as well.

Idk if I’m the first to say this, but since having more Spider-Man films showing us different variants of spider men, it makes these old classics more unique. A different universe where we see Peter Parker going through a change in personality. In the beginning, we only focused on the quality of the story of the movie, but now I see it more as looking at a different comic book. Like or dislike it, it exists and we get to watch how it plays out. Now we can see it for it is. Another story of Peter Parker.
Peter went Beast Mode here
0:48 I love these "war screams" this version of spiderman makes when he attacks. Makes him feel human.
100th like
the punisher does that too, goku, i love war cries
@@IIIISai It's hit or miss though. A battle cry can either be good for the emotion of a scene or make the battle annoying or silly. I appreciate it when used effectively but man are there some characters that just can't pull it off

@@eduardo7677 true! XDD dragon ball z is fun but a lot of fights can be boiled down to. “AHHHHHHHHH” “MYAHHHHHHHHH!” “WHAAAAAAAAAA!”
2:01 I just love his scream here. You can just hear the pure and utter rage in it.
Lol no, it’s the same scream of Spider-Man 2 when he losses his powers and falls to the rooftop.
@@johnny23hester I just recently realized that.
But it works here considering how angry he is though, you gotta admit.
@@johnny23hester "ugh......what was that?"
Dang, that reminded me of his role in Brothers
(LOL) Spider-Man screamed like Wolverine in X-Men Movie Series.
The fact Tobey was actually intending to kill flint marko😂
This scene is literally perfect because Peter actually has intent to kill Sandman, and the symbiote gives him a strength boost and the desire to do it.
Add the fact that Sandman is made of SAND, which gives Peter the perfect reason to not hold back and do anything he wants, like say, grind his face on the Train, something he would never do to a normal person.
Making Sandman Uncle Ben’s Killer was a Genius decision by Sam Raimi.
This CGI holds better than Justice League
And even some of recent MCU movies

You guys realize Peter's anger to sandman is almost the same as harry's anger to Peter. Both of them have their revenge displaced in a sense. Kind of cool if you think about it.
Woah
P J OToole potter
P J OToole styles
Difference being Harry only believed Peter killed his Dad because he just chose not to listen when Peter tried to explain the truth
That's what this whole film is about. Revenge and forgiveness.
If Spider Man is in the Black Suit, you KNOW this is serious!
Bro when he grinds sandman’s face you see his teeth fly out
2:00 Damn, that scream is so brutal. Full of hatred and anger! Peter was completely bloodlusted here.
I’m pretty sure that’s the same scream that was used when Spidey first started to lose his powers in 2.

This movie was never terrible. It was never even bad. It’s just a little misguided, but acts as a good ending to this magnificent trilogy.
Exactly, it was always my favorite from the trilogy as a kid, and it still holds up pretty well, but it’s obviously not as polished as the first or second one
a bit to rushed. venom never been planned to be in this movie raimi said. Avi makes him do that thats why we all blame avi for ruining Tasm and this trilogy.
Agreed
Looking back at it, it's actually pretty decent. Some people may say it's bad but at least it has some memorable moments
@@bread5384 yeah like that stupid dance scene in a jazz bar wtf was that all about?
0:35 This was the moment sandman knew he fucked up.
The “good riddance” is a perfect example of how Raimi would’ve made a fantastic movie of the symbiote if he had wanted to

The way Peter used his enhanced speed and strength to counter him and then using the water tank to beat him is awesom.

0:34-0:46 let's just appreciate on how both of them delivered their lines with so much emotion and energy that it felt realistic
In my personal opinion, the delivery of Tobey yelling "EVERYTHING!" is one of the best moments in acting history. I don't know how he made that one word have SO MUCH emotion behind it
