In spite of him often, but not always talking over his guests, Jay still has a phenomenally wide ranging knowledge of automobiles. He gives way when he knows the guy with him has knowledge that he doesn't have, as is apparent in this segment.

This is, in my opinion, the most beautiful, most amazing car Ford has built. It's almost 20 years old, still beautiful, still amazing. And....they came only with a 6 speed manual transmission. No computer controlled or paddle shifted automatic, just a do it yourself stick shift and clutch....as it should be.

Have owned this car since 2009, bought it with 119 miles on it. The car now has 14900 miles on it and the only things that have failed was the oil pressure gauge and the gas cap seal. Still love it, last of the analog super cars, this and the carrera gt. Everything now is computer assisted, turbo charged, paddle shifters etc. Not saying there is anything wrong with that but I took my buddy's 720s out and although it is faster it is nowhere near as enjoyable to drive. When I show up to cars an coffee people take notice, the sound of the exhaust is that awesome rumble that is not muffled by turbos. Best car Ford ever made IMO. Thank you Mr Pardo for fighting for all the things that made this car right!

I as an automotive fan, who may never get to own, drive or even see one of these beautiful cars, am glad Jay shares his cars and other interesting cars. He does such a good interview that I feel that I know these cars. Thanks Mr. Leno I very much appreciate what you do for us auto fans and aspiring owners.

Jay is the consummate interviewer. If the guest easily expresses himself on the subject at hand, Jay allows him to complete the guest's thoughts. If the guest needs guidance to find a way to tell his story, Jay offers that guidance with very timely questions. No one is better about talking cars than Jay Leno. He is a true lover of machines with that extra talent of knowing how to get other people to talk about the subject.

Jay, Camilo, this was unequivocally the best of all the shows. Thank you so much. The GT40 and its history make one of the best stories of the period and I've always loved the shape. The Ford GT project was fab to follow & when I saw my first one, in the metal, outside a old pub, in a small village near Northampton, UK, I was smitten all over again. Learning about all the design details from the man himself was magnificent. Thanks again

my father was a master tech for Ford at the time and got to personally hand-deliver one of these GTs to the customer. He said it was the most potent car he ever drove. the steering was so precise and the throttle was so eager to get going. it was in a white/blue stripes configuration. I still remember seeing it as a 5 year old in the showroom one late night.
he also told a story about how he and some of his peers got to get a sneak peek at the GT in an earlier phase of the project--before public release, and he was enamored by the huge strands of wires hooked up to the vehicle for what I would assume was some sort of dyno testing. he described it as a scene from the Matrix lol. he added that he and the other technicians had to sign NDAs before even knowing about what the tour was for.
the GT is still to this day my favorite supercar.
