It's not, it makes people think. Most of the popular songs have no meaning and if so its obvious, but they call it deep. One of the things this song is about is the singer is going through turning from christian to agnostic.

Check the covers for spiders before you go crawling in bed
You long to lie down beside her and plant ideas in her head
You are children of angels and you're living in sin
Well they've got just the place for the kind of trouble you're in
And her hair smells like flowers and you're counting the hours between thunder showers
Unleash your new superpowers don't be a coward
Did you come to remember, or did you come to forget?
You went looking for Jesus and found the devil instead
So many convictions about life after death
But you just can't believe in any single one of them
And it's all on your shoulders feels like a boulder and you're just getting older
Universe seems to grow colder each time you behold her
    Alpha-Man, father of everyone's children
The king of the kingdom of men
You father your sons and your daughters
All of them follow your every command
You sire them all on your own
Then you kick them all out of your home
Alpha-Man, tell all of your children to leave you alone
Alpha-Man, tell all of your children to leave you alone
Tuck the old folks into their new homes
Watch the skin slip off of their bones
Watch out for pigeons on the telephone poles
They will shit all over your clothes
    Alpha-Man, father of everyone's children
The king of the kingdom of men
You father your sons and your daughters
All of them follow your every command
You sire them all on your own
Then you kick them all out of your home
Alpha-Man, tell all of your children to leave you alone
Alpha-Man, tell all of your children to leave you alone
Alpha-Man, tell all of your children to leave you alone!
Alpha-Man, tell all of your children to leave you alone!

So when God or Yahweh created the first two humans and then kicked Adam & Eve out of Eden he “sired them all on his own, then kicked them out of his home.” Then the sons and daughters of Adam (all of humanity) who God fathered obeyed his every command (excluding Cain and those “living in sin” who still exist in the present “expecting children of angels” [this also refers to the passing of generational sin mentioned in the book of Exodus/Leviticus that goes on for four generations] despite their contradictory way of living which conveys the whole paradigm of the scientific debate of the effect of “nurture” on a child rather than just “nature” although both of these seem to play a role.
Then in the ending chorus the singer commands “alpha man tell all your children to leave you alone” which is akin to saying God (being the “alpha man” which is akin to the first entity that originated out of the primordial chaos to develop consciousness and create energy and heaven, earth, and life as we know it and everything else) must command his servants “Jews & Christians” to leave him alone as he has not fared up to his promises as well as the whole notion of love as afterall he abandoned his own creation that he made in his image (man). So in other words this song and it’s lyrics can be seen as some form of gnostic revelation whilst concurrently being a rebuke of God himself and his only begotten son Jesus Christ as well as the Holy Spirit; perhaps a form of antichrist anthem or rebellious psalm.

It's really taken a year for someone to comment with this point (ha!)? The wax/wane wordplay isn't a fallacious sentiment, but rather a metaphor for how Wax Fang's tunes grow on you. A predatory animal like the lion will grab you with the claws first, then sink it's teeth into your vital arteries. While a play on words with a nonsensical surface representation seems to be a non-sequitor, it makes sense, given the sparse nature of Wax Fang's release dates for new stuff. Claws are retractable, therefore they can "wax/wane" during use. OP hopes that if the fangs are made of literal wax, that the claws never retract because they enjoy being ensnared by the claws of the music. GTFO "Actual Research".

i quote from "majestic" of wax fang: "if you're searching the lines for a point, well, you've probably missed it. there was never anything there in the first place." it's not that i have no idea what their songs mean that makes me love it. it's that these songs refuse to be interpreted strictly, that makes me love them.

  • @kobold7763
    @kobold7763 Рік тому +7

For all of you who want a somewhat deep analysis of the lyrics in this song here is a brief summary I wrote regarding some of the lines to provide you a more holistic understanding of the artist’s meaning and expression in this song:
So when God or Yahweh created the first two humans and then kicked Adam & Eve out of Eden he “sired them all on his own, then kicked them out of his home.” Then the sons and daughters of Adam (all of humanity) who God fathered obeyed his every command; hence the line “You fathered your sons and your daughters, all of them follow your every command” (which is a reference to the human beings that share the qualities of Cain and those “living in sin” who still exist in the present.
Then you have the preceding line “you’re children of angels but you’re living in sin” which refers to Genesis Ch. 6 and several other books where gods angels left their estate in Heaven to to breed with human women and create a doomed hybrid race known as nephilim which became known as titans and giants whom were ultimately destined to corrupt more human flesh and live a life of sin” thereby question another part of God’s creation as this was the doing of his angels who were created prior to man to do his bidding yet nonetheless rebelled at the hand of Lucifer. And this can also refer to the passing of generational sin mentioned in the book of Exodus/Leviticus that goes on for four generations] despite their contradictory way of living which conveys the whole paradigm of the scientific debate of the effect of “nurture” on a child rather than just “nature” although both of these seem to play a role.
Then in the ending chorus the singer commands “alpha man tell all your children to leave you alone” which is akin to saying God (with God being the “alpha man” as Revelation states God as being the “alpha and the omega” which is akin to conveying that they were the first entity that originated out of the primordial chaos to develop consciousness and mold themselves in the same image that later became man; hence the term “alpha man” to create energy and heaven, earth, and life as we know it and everything else and being the only one to hold the power of creation breaking the first law of thermodynamics which we’re all bound to; which is that nothing can be created or destroyed; which is matter or in other terms just plain energy) that must command his servants “Jews & Christians” to leave him alone as he has not fared up to his promises as well as the whole notion of love as afterall he abandoned his own creation that he made in his image (man). So in other words this song and it’s lyrics can be seen as some form of gnostic revelation whilst concurrently being a rebuke of God himself and his only begotten son Jesus Christ as well as the Holy Spirit; perhaps a form of antichrist anthem or rebellious psalm.

I had left a comment but somehow it got deleted? So can this song be consider blasphemy? I was also curious about the line " You were looking for jesus but found the Devil instead" is that a reference to the theory that Jesus is lucifer ? (The morning star or the light bringer) wich free masons believe in, since they worship lucifer

+Michael Linkovski I have always thought Wax Fang was a mix of Pink Floyd and Cat Stven's. Although he has such vocal and musical range, his sound reminds me of a lot of artists while still sounding 100% original.
