That guitar solo... Such simple riffs, but the emotion in the playing coupled with the HUGE sound gives it a truly epic feel... I heard this first on American Dad and had to go searching for it... This song came on when I was mourning my cat who died. So now I associate it with him and it breaks my heart every time I hear it. It’s his birthday today and this song lets me, even if it’s only for five minutes, let everything out. I can’t express how much this song means to me ❤
You know this song is pure perfectness when you play it to someone you seldom meet on a friends birthday and a year later he has it in his playlist. Please try to make more of this!
I first heard this song when I was in an abusive relationship with my ex. 6 years later and here I am, broken up and moved on, healed. Stumbling across this song again, it brought back all those old memories and honestly, this song is fitting for what happened to me. Things are not what they seem but eventually, you'll move on. You'll heal and you'll get better. You always do.

Diana Smith Actually read that with the singers voice and tried to add the soundtrack, to best of my abilities. Good show sir, good show indeed.
DanishPsychoBoy I believe she's a female
Adan Robles I know, but the compliment ''Good show'' normally has sir, in the end, and I chose to go with the original, I didn't mean anything with, other than that I liked her comment, and found it entertaining.
DanishPsychoBoy ah, alright.

I heard that he's coming back on the next episode called "Honey I'm Homeland". The release date? I'm
Not sure.
Oh they return on March 9th. So wait til that day and we'll see
ParakeetFilms I was hoping they'd do a few more episodes of him getting back to earth
anticrunch same
This is one well crafted song,I’m thankful to be an American Dad fan,now a Wax Fang fan.
This song was going to be in my wedding that never ended up happening.. I love it dearly but it makes my heart ache in such a nostalgic way I can't help but play it and think of that almost was . This song will always hold a special place in my heart
Ftb mang
I am sure you will find your truly. Have a good life. ;)
HOWL GIRL...
Lolol this definitely is not a wedding song. Worked out for the best
"There was never anything there in the first place."
Kinda perfect, really.
That guitar solo... Such simple riffs, but the emotion in the playing coupled with the HUGE sound gives it a truly epic feel...
I heard this first on American Dad and had to go searching for it... I wasn't disappointed...
It's playing tricks on my mind... When I hear it, it sounds and feels like it's something I've been hearing and enjoying all my life since the early 1970's, and I find it hard to comprehend that it's only 10 years old...
Outstanding songwriting and a stunning performance...
Agreed! I got some david gilmour vibes on the solo. Really nice fat tone and well-played
@@dlemon90 I opened this comment right at the solo and was thinking the exact same thing
@@sarahbeaulieu999 great minds think alike!
Everytime I hear it I need a smoke afterwards
I had the exact same experience when first hearing this too, I said to my partner, "This sounds like a song I've heard many years ago but can't remember anything about"
the opening line is what got me hooked "A sight for sore eyes to the blind would be awful majestic" i just LOOOOOVE that line on so many levels
Graeme Gunn so many....i already said that
Graeme Gunn he did say that...
I cannot really pin down what in this song makes me feel like it's the most pure and powerful love song of all times. Thank you Wax Fang
Never thought I could get chills off an American Dad episode
I honestly thought American Dad made the song for the show. It fit so perfectly in the episode
I was in tears
@@tomlop2818 maybe you're trans
Gday ma'am

The positive vibe of this comment section really makes me feel good
I can almost see the guitarist on the verge of tears as they played the solo, it was from the soul!
That's what always gives me chills. I love when you can really hear the emotion coming from an instrument.
If you’re listening to this, you know your music. A masterpiece. And I can call you my friend. 🙌
It's OK. Nothing special, Otis.
2:47 the beginning to honestly one of the best instrumentals I've heard in the last 2 decades
When he sings "I'd rather be dreaming of someone than living alone" Hurts.
Waking everyday and gathering strength to head out into the greyness of my day after day gets harder every time. Often I find myself thinking I should just remain there and just waste away.
Thank you American Dad
This song will forever be my little piece of heaven… thank you for that.
Fighting addiction is not always easy, songs like this one help me move forward with my life, for a time that once was.
God bless you
Thank you so much American Dad for turning me onto such AMAZING music. My Morning Jacket, Wax Fang and so much more!
This was my wedding song and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not a very teary eyed person, but this song made me tear up because it was so perfect for us.
Its such beautiful song. I guess it is appropriate for a wedding in a very meta way
I've been listening to this song for 10 years ❤️
An Image that I rather never see again, A song I never want to forget.
I love how self-defeating yet beautiful this is
Just one of those songs that come along and take over the senses and take you on a really nice, fun, journey to that one special place we all have , but keep to ourselves !! That one place in the world and in your mind that nobody but you know how to get there!
Okay, so I was sleeping, well I thought I was, I could hear this playing in my dream, Then I fully awoke, and I was still hearing this beautiful song being played so loud in my house. It felt like I was still dreaming. I'm not a morning person really, but being woken up by this magical song was just awesome. Anyways, that's my boring little story :) Peace y'all
Same thing happened to me. It was amazing. Seriously.
Frank McDonagh same here
Laron Jackson kinda weird this song randomly comes on in the morning for so many people 0_o
Frank McDonagh Same here woke up today with this playing
Ino Yamanaka Maybe we are all connected in some way. lol
For those that died too young RIP Alex . You had some great music sense 🙏🏻💫 🏴 ty for the music you sent me. X
The song just cradles my heart, its like an anthem I listen to, telling me im not alone in this.
WOW. Stumbled on this song in an American Dad clip online, and the song had me more than the video by miles. Had to come find this band - going to be listening to the rest of their discography over the next week or two - need this. Awesome music!
Glad to find another new wax fang fan! I was beginning to think we were a dying breed.
I knew of this song before American dad. It always makes me cry cause there is never truer words than this song. Ive been thru alot of heartbreaks. Will always love this song.
Thank you American Dad!!!!I might have never heard this WONDERFUL SONG if it wasn't for you.So thank you!!!!
what a great sound. Sounds like a Broadway hit. So beautiful
I cannot stop listening to this... this glorious song!
This is power rock the likes of which unheard since the 70's
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG EVER! Thank you so much Wax Fang for this wonderful music. I honestly listen to it ever day. Thank you. I would give anything to learn how to play this on the guitar.
This guy has a crazy voice dude. It's just so... majestic 😂😌
This song came on when I was mourning my cat who died. So now I associate it with him and it breaks my heart every time I hear it. It’s his birthday today and this song lets me, even if it’s only for five minutes, let everything out. I can’t express how much this song means to me ❤
I’m so so sorry for the loss of your baby. I know the pain. The deep deep pain. Just remember you will reunite together in the end
If only one song should remain for eternity, it should be this one
You know this song is pure perfectness when you play it to someone you seldom meet on a friends birthday and a year later he has it in his playlist.
Please try to make more of this!
I first heard this song when I was in an abusive relationship with my ex. 6 years later and here I am, broken up and moved on, healed. Stumbling across this song again, it brought back all those old memories and honestly, this song is fitting for what happened to me. Things are not what they seem but eventually, you'll move on. You'll heal and you'll get better. You always do.
How can one guitar solo encompass an entire lifetime worth of pain? This song is a masterpiece
This is the Song of a man recognizing he got betrayed by his heart to make him love something only existing in his head but not worshiping it in reality
This low-key has become a favorite song with a Pink Floyd worthy guitar solo
This is one of those songs that really hit the heart. For me it's spectacular.....benj
Pinkest of the Floyd vibes...love it !
Might sound random, but your profile picture goes incredibly hard
My friend and I were passing songs back and forth and he sent this. Am I the only one who didn't find out about these guys through American Dad?
he probably found it on american dad
I saw the music in american dad, in the spaceship
***** if you are talking about your comment you are right. No one gives a fuck
These are some strange replys to did anyone else find them from A.D.
Good for you... you are not special... get over yourself. Just enjoy the music.
I still keep coming back to this song after so many years
Quite possibly the most beautiful piece of art ever created
1:33 "Sorry, that's real popular here."
LOL just watched it
That episode was sad
+grant johnston Yes it was. The scene with the Majestic could very well serve as a music video of sorts for the song. It really does capture the feeling and meaning of the song.
+grant johnston I agree sad as fuck just like my gay brother
+Happy Larry Me being the "no duh" person that I am.. if he's gay, would that mean he's pretty damn happy?
Why does this hit me in the feels soo hard.. amazingly perfect song ❤
That solo is pure gilmour. Love it.
Agreed. It's meatloaf meets queen meets floyd.
"If you're searching the line for a point" greatest quote ever.
I just completely love this song. what a amazing band. thanks
Possibly one of the best songs ever
American Dad brought me here and I'm so glad it did. I love this song!
I found God thru this song just changed the words too be getting blessed by God bless u all
So many amazing lines in this song - my favourite
"I rather be dreaming of someone than living alone!" - Just majestic;-)
American Dad Season 8 Episode 18 brought me back here again ❤
And just like the first time it still blows me away. The guitar solos remind me heavily of Pink Floyd with hints of Grateful Dead and other folk artists.
This song is like a heartache sandwich. Instrumentals at start and end are the buns, the lyrics the meat.
I get goose bumps from this song
[Verse]
A sight for sore eyes
To the blind would be awful majestic
It would be the most beautiful thing
That they ever had seen
It would cause such surprise
It would make all of their minds electric
How could anyone tell them
That some things are not what they seem?
In such disbelief
I thought I was asleep when I met you
My heart liquefied and I sighed
Oh this must be a dream
If I forget to set the alarm
And sleep on through the dawn
Don't remind me
I'd rather be dreaming of someone
Than living alone
[Guitar Solo]
If you're searching the lines for a point
Well, you've probably missed it
There was never anything there
In the first place
i just realized how brilliant the opening instrumentals are.
there are a several false starts, building up and stopping to make you think he's about to sing, but he doesn't.
there was never anything there in the first place
Pink floyd vibes on that gorgeous guitar solo 😍
Jesus. this song blasting in your ears with your eyes close is such an experience. Especially if you're high
If this ain't playing at my funeral, I ain't showing up
Makes me believe in REAL feeling behind music again...my heart swells 🥰
YOu guys are the best for coming up with this composition, 2:48 reached so deep in my soul I had to learn how to doit myself. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I love that instrumental in the beginning, there are times when I just can't help myself and need to hear those strong vocals popping off right away.
I know I feel like I'm doing it a disservice skipping ahead to the beat drop, but it's what I craaaave!
When Wax Fang said "I'd rather be dreaming of someone than living alone" 🤘🤘🤘
Why can't I stop listening to this song?!!!
As opposed to the person cutting others down in the UA-cam comments section with the fake name? Your life must be amazing!
mlongpre100 Discipline of a directed mind wouldnt be attacking someone on youtube.. Just saying.
mlongpre100 So you don't think you were rude? Well they do say ignorance is bliss.
mlongpre100 I'm not the ignorant one love but thank you.

This song hurts me so much, I never want it to stop....
Omg, I'm in love with a song...

Terribly Charismatic Duck Nice, maybe way down the line we are related.
Gabriel Castaneda Probably haha
Terribly Charismatic Duck no u
I was searching for an unknown swedish metalband called majestic, because I randomly saw their name in metalmagazine from the year 2000 and this song popped up on top. I clicked to see what it was and it's one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
