Nah, what that game needs is a new entry, featuring either Boba Fett or Mando as the protagonist. GOD, I loved "star bounty hunters" games of that time! (Ratchet & Clank 2 still being one of my favourites)
Certain shipyards (KDY) would install "kill switches" in their ships to prevent their interests and operations from being disrupted. These components would react to coded signals over certain frequencies, shutting down key systems, including defenses, shields and engine controls. Fett knew of these subsystems and removed them shortly after taking possession of SLAVE I.
I always thought this was one of the most wild ships in Star Wars. I can't think of many other ships that have such a weird flight profile -- that tall silhouette instead of being long and slender like a fighter was certainly an interesting choice
Agreed. It's very distinctive, and one of the best examples of Star Wars design going for weird, bordering on counterintuitive spaceship ideas (for the time; obviously Star Wars has massively influenced subsequent scifi design).
The Firespray has one huge disadvantage, no not the rear aspect _…ahem,_ but the fact that it is unique and associated with the Fetts - it basically has *Bounty Hunter* written down the side in giant flashing neon letters. The _Slave-1_ turns up at a space port and everybody will be talking about it, and any potential bounty targets will go to ground or get out of dodge immediately. And a preemptive strike against the Slave-1 as it's coming in to land would be a prudent move if any bounties were near a weapons console. Even seeing that ship on scanners would give the game away as it has a distinctive profile - the jammers wouldn't be on all the time. And being unique, getting spare parts for it must be a pain. IMHO A more appropriate ship would be a Corellian light freighter, heavily modified, something from the YT series. Outfitted with the same performance package as smugglers, the ship would be mistaken for a smugglers ship in the more lawless regions of the galaxy, thus not setting off any alarm bells. The cargo space could be reduced to add _even more firepower,_ and the specialised equipment for prisoner transport. Getting spare parts, maintenance, and just running it would be a lot easier. And the Bounty Hunter could even do a little smuggling on the side, both as an extra source of income, and as part of a cover when looking for low life scum - you will be assumed to be just the same so you can get up close without raising suspicions. It's a much more viable option than flying around in a Elephants Head that has _Bobba Fetts Bounty Hunter ship_ emblazoned on a trailing banner.
Of course in the new canon with biometric fobs that seem to have continental or planetary range going to ground or getting the fuck out isn't going to save anyone.
