- In todays video we fix probably the most annoying issue with the truck so far. Such a easy fix I can't fathom why anyone would opt for putting the wood in there and making it unusable!

Greasing the tracks is honestly what made my motors survive in all my 1999 - 2006 GM trucks. You will notice that the windows go up much faster too when the old motors start getting weak. I highly recommend putting and kinda grease, even white lithium on the tracks! I used Lucas oil red and tacky and it worked excellent!
Just the feeling that you fix something makes your day, is like the sense of accomplishment , great job
Oh HELL yeah!!! This video has been the best fun I've had in a very long time! Thankque very much! I'm 78, from the era of carburetion, points and plugs. My fave vehicle of all times, right up to present was a "68 VW Combo commercial van I rebuilt into a camper. Eighteen inches of ground clearance and a creeper first gear that let me outclimb any jeep out there. Top speed with a tailwind was about 60 mph. But damn, that thing was fun to drive! I drove it till rust cancer had all but destroyed it. Still ran like a top when I dropped it off at a recycle yard. To this day I regret having to retire it and wish I had another one just like it, without the rust. Not sure I could turn it into a wheelchair adaptable, but I'd sure as hell like to try. Sigh. If I still had the juice. I've still got the knowhow and mechanic instincts, but my joints and bones have failed me. This is my punishment for everything I've done wrong in life. I can't mechanic anymore. I can only watch and envy others. Sigh. Groan. Gripe. Rebuilt the motor three, maybe four times. Joy unfeigned, it was.
I had 02 silverado and had to replace window motors twice in 8 yrs. Found that spraying a silicone type of lubricant on the door where window slides up and down also helps motor last longer. Less stress on motor
Yesir!
Haha just commented the same thing. Also white lithium grease on the metal window tracks inside the door panel helps. Looks like the regulators he put on are completely dry from factory.
Always a good idea to grease the metal tracks inside the door panel with white lithium grease and use silicon lubricant on the rubber seals where the glass slides up and down on. Helps the window move much smoother with less stress on the window motor. If you don't want to take the panel off just spray the silicon lubricant on the rubber guides/seals. Reapply a few times a year to keep it all working smoothly.
always a good day when lmfscrew uploads. always.
Nothing feels better than being able to fix something yourself. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I sometimes like went things break just so I can repair them 🤷♂️
Great video, would like to see you doing a ceramic coat video on ole blacky, so many products to choose from but would like to see a reliable one!!! Thanks brother from SE GA
-👴🏻👴🏻 ole blacky
The turtle wax ceramic coat products are amazing. And cheap, but last!
The wood guy was a master mechanic , I posted on your ac video , Did not know you already knew about the GM design flaw on back window. They should have had a recall but no. Good luck Alabama dude. Keep the kids happy. Hey with the back windows down did they wind cause a buffing sound, Mine did .
Great job. I now can check out my back passenger window to see what’s going on with it.
Great looking truck. I had a 2005 same Color but ext cab. I’m sure you will enjoy the windows much better than with a table leg now. Cheers 🍻
Love your content and love Larry I would love to see more videos of Larry I want mines to look like Larry ♥️🥺
Truck looks great! And love how its coming together, it’s a great feeling when replacing the old or worn parts on your truck! Would deff love to see new flares, or the old flares painted and back on the truck, something about them just makes it look mean or more aggressive! Look forward to more videos!
Next project you should do all new door speakers and some subs under the seat!!
Nice job.nice weather to work outside very informative
Good job. When I replaced the actuators on my Silverado, used ones at that, I never had any more problems.
06 Xterra has same type of motor. I found out that after years of working, grease inside the motor gets on electric contacts causing it not to work. Worth looking into and you might have spare motors.
Loving the truck bud. I get a lot of my ideas for my pickup from you
How could you not like this video?
I'm old school, that piece of wood looked good to me and a lot faster and easier.
Nice job well done you taught me something
Good looking truck
Love the videos keep them going 💯
Nice job.
Good video, thanks.
I never messed with the windows on a car because I felt like they didn't give you enough room to get in there to work. Lol, but now that I got a truck...
Yes more lmfscrew love the content man
Great stuff!
Well, table legs did hold up the table at one point. Guess it just made sense to some hillbilly lol.
Next time you have the door panels off, might take some time and put a layer of dynamat on the inner door panels. I did that to my 01 Silverado and can honestly say that it brought the road noise down a ton. Easy to do as well.
After tint maybe sportsman camo covers
Why would you put Camo covers over those amazing leather seats?? How to make the interior look cheap 101
@@Durataur yeah if the truck comes with leather then i dont like seat covers... but if theyre cloth then sportsman seat covers all the way
Should of changed the speakers while you were in there
Do you have any tricks on fixing the notorious door handles that always come loose or the window switch panels without replacing the door panel completely?
When are you buying the GMC truck
Clean and lube tracks with silicone
Thanks for sharing! Did you contact the person you got the truck from? If you did hope you asked what else he fixed😳😜😎
Man I was really hoping for a Knox reaction lol
Still too young for UA-cam haha one day though!
How old is he not trying to be nosy
I thought my 10 speed in my F150 was giving me real issues, but I unhooked the battery terminals and let it sit over night unhooked, and I believe it’s reset the tranny. It hasn’t been doing any hard or delayed shifts lately.
Ive heard a lot of people complain about the tuning ford does with the 10 speed in comparison to chevys tuning with it. All gm 10 speeds I've been in is super smooth so maybe it is just tuning.
@@lmfscrew when looking into buying this truck, I kept telling myself that Chevy and Ford made it together, and the Chevy iterations have been getting a lot of praise, so the Ford version should be all the same. It’s definitely odd in its shifts time to time, and I think that’s just bc it’s Ford’s version. Bc you’ve sworn up and down about the 10l90 and how it is great, just figured the 10r80 would be the same.
So what's holing the elderly guys table up 😆
I wonder if someone did something similar in my 07 duramax. Both of front windows go down fine, but neither one of the back windows do even though I can hear the motors trying which is kinda suspect.
loving the content
This is EXACTLY WHY I OWN A 1ST GEN TUNDRA. BETWEEN FORD, DODGE AND CHEVY'S bad designs I have no idea how they've stayed in business. THE IDIOT who did this to that truck should be smashed across the face with that piece of wood. I'd be pissed if I paid what you paid for that truck an that asshole let me take off with it knowing the rear windows were like that making me think everything was good to go.
Hope you are happy now you can drive around smelling exhaust, cigarette smoke and other people's FARTS, I personally try to never roll my windows down and run A/C 99% of the time.
Sound system next
Did you replace with OEM parts
How long did the window regulator last
So what was broken on the OEM unit ?
🙂
I like your videosand your trucks are cool
amazing
How much was parts ?
"Somebody's been here before".
How bad do we rub with the 35s on stocks? seriously wanting to know the answer because im looking into it😬 amazing content tho, been around for 2 years or so!
Ill make a video showing it soon!
I’m having a awful issue with my truck where it doesn’t wanna turn on I have bout new alternator new starter new spark plugs new battery and new ignition switch and nothing I mean nothing I tried has work I need help
Was this a police vehicle??? They do not won’t rear seat passengers the ability to open them no matter what? Maybe??
Come on 20% on the shield!!!
while 20 is awesome on the shield, its typically too dark for the average guy haha. i'd say 35% is the sweet spot.
I commented to early on the previous vid. I was partially right, a visit to the parys store
🔥🔥
You’ve sold a lot of truck why haven’t you sold Larry just wondering
id say you swap out the door speakers for something better
When you gonna cam it?
Later this year after i have another daily
You should put after market speakers cause y not more content 😂😂😂
Gm didn’t fix it in folllowing years either 😂 2008 failed multiple times
let’s gooooo
I have 2.5% rear (double 5). 5% fronts and 35 on the whole shield with a 10 inch 5% brow. Have went by state troopers. Sheriffs, deputy’s, all of em. They don’t care as long as you aren’t driving like a idiot
Take ur trucks to a test in a Muddy field. Go put some mud on them tires lol
What’s up
Officers in your part of bama must not have better things to do. Officers in north bama where I’m at don’t bother me lol
My luck with cops and tint is not good lol
@@lmfscrew im lucky I never got pulled over for tint im in Tennessee so not far from Alabama and i have 40 windshield and 15 sides
