I found this video a good guide to replacing the rear driver window regulator on my 2010 Silverado. I highly recommend buying the plastic trim tools to remove the door panels. It saves wear on the panels themselves. Excellent instructional film. Only found a few differences but it was easy to do following the video.
+Aubrey Prestridge Thanks for watching. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair we carry the replacement part shown in this video on our website. Here's a link to them www.1aauto.com/1A/WindowRegulators/Chevy/Silverado1500/1AWRG01064?UA-cam&CTA%20Comment&ATony
Thank you for Doing this Model .. As my window regulator just snapped while closing my window.. 10 am this fine morning! Now i know what to do .. THANK You 10/10
Excellent video. Straight to the point. Made it extremely easy. Usually all makes and models are typically the same process. But there is differences with certain cars, trucks.. more of where bolts are located. Thanks for the video.

On 03:15 taking the door handle cable out, the metal dycast half ring that it fits in broke. Where would I find a replacement for that? Or is it a important part?
My drivers side window will not go up or down. Replaced all 4 power window switches. Problem not resolved, and all other windows work. Any suggestions?
I bet you had one bolt left over ! The 10 mm bolt to the immediate left of the window motor ( which secures the motor to the door frame) didn't get put back on reassembly. Excellent video though - clearly illustrated ...... I gotta tackle this exact job on the weekend !!! Thanks !!!!
@@1AAuto hey thank you for replying but yall did have a video for it. It was a 09 Chevy Silverado and i was able to get it done perfectly by following yalls vid. Ty
So I had new actuators installed on both my driver and passenger door last week. After it was fixed, I was going down the road and went to roll my windows down and when I rolled my passenger window down the door came unlaced and opened. How do I fix this?
Thanks for the detailed video! Sucks that I didn't purchase my regulator/motor from 1A auto cause mine didn't come with bottom studs like the factory one did.
Hey I’m here because I just bought from you guys a window regulator for my 2010 GMC Sierra. It came yesterday, and I installed it. But my it won’t go up or down am I doing something wrong? My old motor was working okay before I installed the new on. I thought it might be my window switch but I also tried with the master switch from the driver side all I hear is a click noise but it doesn’t go up or down. Pls help me
+P G Thanks for watching! We recommend that you double check the install was done properly and that all switches/wiring is in good condition. If you believe there is an issue with the part itself, please contact our customer service department right away and we can provide you with a suitable solution!
My switch makes a buzzing noise when I press the window up or down. I thought it was the switch so I replaced it same noise. Is the regulator my problem?
+Jorge Ortiz Thanks for watching! Unfortunately we do not have the specs for all the bolts with the corresponding location, so it will have to be trial and error! 1aauto.com
+ADIT ADDICTS Thank you for checking us out. The configuration would be separate as in 2007 they re configured the doors and body. Please view our video for the 2000 body style using ua-cam.com/video/6q_ksIGOPKk/v-deo.html
(2007 Silverado 1500) Both rear windows will not work from either of the back switches or the drivers side switch. I can hear them click, but no movement. Thoughts?
If there's power going to the window motor(s), it may be a bad window motor. We carry new power window motor regulator assemblies for your 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 on our website, we also offer free shipping on all orders in the lower 48 sttaes. Here's a link to them. Hope this helps you out. www.1aauto.com/2007-chevy-silverado-1500-window-regulator/y-mo-c/2007-1716-16?UA-cam&UA-cam&ATony
You may want to test the power going to the window motor with a test light or an ohm meter, to see if there's power going to it when the switch is pressed in both directions. If there isn't, the window switch may be bad, or there may be a break in the wire on that circuit. You may also want to check the wire harness that runs between the door and body of the vehicle for a frayed or broken wire. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto
+Ralph A. Hutchison Thanks for watching! If the window is stuck down and you have to replace the regulator, you can always just cut the cable. As long as you have the new, correct part in hand cutting the cable will free up the window.
