- Heres a quick video of the 034 Motorsport resonator delete pipe on my 2017 B9 A4 2.0. Very easy install with the appropriate tools. Honestly, I think anything but the stock exhaust on this car sounds like crap. This was an inexpensive mod instead of going full exhaust and you basically get the same sound. There is absolutely no drone with this so its a nice mod if your car is a daily driver.
Sounds just like my GTI, I don't think it sounds raspy at all, the only way to get a deeper sound even on the GTI is with aftermarket exhaust. I am a fan.
Any idea how it sounds compared to an S3 with the OEM resonator delete kit? I really like the A4 (because I can get it in a stick) but the S3 sounds so good.
admrob honestly no clue. Best to contact the manufacturer with that question.
Do you get crackles and pops on shifts? And is there any drone at all?
No crackles or pops but if I'm at WOT during shifts I do get a loud brapppp. At first I didn't like it but as it wore in I think it sounds awesome. There's absolutely no drone at all. Cruising on the highway at 75 the car is dead silent like stock. I need to make a video of it in motion but I just don't have the equipment.
I did full straight pipe on my B9 and it sounds very good
Hey do you think This pipe would work for a 2010 a5 Quattro coupe?
Not this one in particular but someone out there probably makes one. If not you can go to your local exhaust shop and they can do it.
Curious to know what cabin sound is like on the freeway -- any droning?
No drone at all. Maybe if youre going uphill at 80mph you get a little resonance. But its very quiet. Ive done the same thing to the S4 I had after and the S5 I currently have. Its still almost too quiet for me.
Great, thank you 👍 looking to do the dance to my B8.5 allroad ... want a bit more (aggressive?) sound, but don't want to go full cat back yet , and need it to be "not TOO loud" for 5am dawn patrol cold starts , for my neighbours LOL
@@1050ROOSTER Your cold start might be a little louder but when driving away normal it will be just as quiet as OEM.
On the forums they are saying the front resonator delete makes the car sound like a civic but doesn't seem that way in this video. I also read it sounds better after a few thousand miles when the pipe gets coated. Any truth to this?
I thought it sounded pretty decent. Better than a Civic but there's no hiding it's a 4cyl. It definitely got deeper as it broke in. Very happy with how it turned out vs a full exhaust for 4 times the price
How loud is it? I heard it’s a little louder than stock, I don’t know if I should remove first res or both
Honestly, nothing really sounds good on this engine. Wasn't worth buying a full exhaust. I liked the way this sounded good enough. I would start with one and if you want to do more, delete the other one as well.
@@AlexandStuff do you mean remove both middle boxes?
@@Amir000 I forget which one I did at this point but I believe it was the rear resonator. I didn't remove the muffler.
@@Amir000 prob both middle and kept rear mufflers.. I'm doing it on my a6 as we speak
@@onenightstan3635 i done the middle box just bit louder nothing special
Do you still have this set up? Can the same results be reached by using a straight pipe?
Essentially it is a straight pipe. I am still running this setup and for the money, I'm very happy with it.
It’s hard to tell but does it give it a deeper tone?
@@harrisonjones2836 upon startup you definitely hear it more. When I'm slowly driving out of my community after startup, I get small crackling when I let off the gas in 2nd gear. However, once the car warms up it's basically quiet. You never really hear it until you step on it. When you're cruising around it's dead silent. The tone isn't necessarily deeper but amplified.
Gotcha! I’m contemplating installing a magnaflow catback that deletes the resonator. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do that or go with a setup like yours. I have a B9 A5 and can’t find many videos on a catback for the A5 Sportback.
@@harrisonjones2836 for a couple hundred bucks you get essentially the same sound as a thousand dollar exhaust.
can you make one more video with take off, launch start etc please?
I'll see what I can do! Sounds like a good idea
Hyper M3 thanks! just want this tune too
Is it 190hp or 250 Quattro?
ivan mamedov 250 quattro
Only front resonateur thanks
?
How do you like your rice rocket?
Doesn't sound like a fart can Honda if that's what you were insinuating.
Hyper M3 Bratwurst rocket
@@Xixu.co.6 touche
does it delete both resonators?
omar elkhazendar we only have one resonator on the A4
Does this void any warranties?
Johnathan Dorsey I've never heard of any exhaust modifications voiding a warranty. However, my recommendation is always to check with your local dealership before attempting anything.
Hyper M3 I heard there’s two......
The S4 and S3 has one
There should be one at the front on the downpipe after the cat and the other in the middle near the rear seats.
I’m certain the 034 removes the front one and ECs tuning has another kit that removes the rear only
@@eeiko321 just saw this comment. Apparently there are two but different designs. This one removes the front resonator. There's another company that removes the rear one, and the reviews on that are poor, in that there was no change in the sound.
