FYI if your concerned about working around or disconnecting airbags someone told me to disconnect the battery prior to starting the job. Now I'm not sure if that's 100% true but it sounded logical to me and I thought it might be useful to contribute this little morsel of DIY wisdom, lol! Great videos brother they were very helpful and definitely gave me the courage I needed to give it a shot myself! 👍😁
Well, with your inspiration, I did this on an '04 and you should know, I found a few pennies too and a Dunkin Donuts gift card with $13 on it! I had a heap of trouble with some of the firewall nuts just spinning on rusted threads! The screws were easy! So I decided to pry the heater/AC box off toward the inside as I had 5 of the 7 out. The bad bolts proved to be studs from the inside that those guide pins slide onto I had to cut off the ABS guide pins and then all went well after. I'm sure I have 22 hours total in it, with all the studying and improvising. Nothing went easy! but thanks for your pointers!
Awesome video ! Simple question please. I believe coolant flows through the heater core all the time and that modulating the blend door is what makes heat go in (or not in) the cabin. There are no valves keeping it from flowing?through the core. Is this correct?? Thanks! Great job
lol his body was expressing how non modular it is not , Watching these preparing any tips? better to wiggle the core out or take whole assembly down like i seen in other video and then removes core
man if i was you i would get a lot of zip lock bags &write down where all the nuts n bolts cause that's a lot of bolts there ohh n by the way god bless you lololo
@@benlofgren5833 - Yep, I'm worried the core will get so bad it's going to rupture in a trip and leave me stranded. I carry a couple clamps to clamp the heater hoses shut just in case.
Wtf. Manufacturers whoever makes and Assemble this trucks. Is thi a fucken joke. Why so dificult to get to the heater core? In 1990 1998 chevy trucks this job of Remove and Replace heater core is done in 45 minutes. Biulders of cars are you fucken jocking this really upsets me

by the way the blower speed is a blower motor resistor. then there is two blend doors one for hot/cold. and one for the direction of air flow

This is a comedy, not an instructional video. You expect a mechanic but get a clown! Hilarious
Man I hope my heater core never goes out, what a job....

Why didn't you take in consideration of getting a manual related to your truck.
No one uses them....
You used a uni-wiggle....what's that...
replacing the heater core cannot be that difficult
LOL
lol i have those 3 cigarette lighters too ...we have the same truck.
I only have one... the other 2 is charging ports... i have the same truck to
Sh** Imma taking a chronic break
Two of those "lighters" are 12 volt power receptacles not lighter sockets.
yeahhh i think i can put up with the smell . im good on this repair
Be sure to check your coolant often or you may get stranded or burn up your engine and then where will you be?
