      Cars should be treated like houses. It's very rare to build your own house, almost everybody buys one already built. Which is basically buying used instead of new. The exception is probably condos where new constructions may be bought slightly more often but still not more than "used". But car dealerships would fucking riot if that were the case 😂

    • @lovelesswing458
      @lovelesswing458 4 місяці тому +19

      I had to buy a car recently, and I said they had to match the msrp from the actual manufacturers website and not upcharge me (it's happening to many dealerships now) and they didn't. So positive experience there. Good dealership - didnt try to sell me other things, I knew what I wanted car wise, what I wanted to spend and negotiated as well, but it should be a crime to go through a third party just to order a car - absolutely ridiculous and a round about way to do it. Not all countries even follow it either so good for them. We should just rid of the middle man in most situations.

      When my wife and I where looking at new cars, they'd try to sell us cars we didn't even want or unsure if we even wanted them. Even better I stated it's going to be her daily driver not mine and kept talking to me about the car. I told them the only things I care about is if she likes it and is reliable. I'm no car expert, just an enthusiast, and knew generally more about the cars than they did.

      I don't care for salesmen in general, but the people buying things have the responsibility to do research and know how financing works because they are the ones choosing to sign for the loans. If you are willing to overpay for a car at high interest for long terms.....well......that's not the fault of the salesman.

      A lot of people still refer their friends, parents, kids, etc to a dealership that they feel great about, or a salesperson. I've known several families that had a salesperson that every single one of them went to when they needed new cars. Not to mention the individuals that get underwater on a car and then trade it in for a worse loan a year later.

      Idk I have a few customers that love me that have bought 2-3 cars with in months and I’ve made a decent commission of them and they know they will say I know you guys have to get paid , the. They stop by and bring me a bottle of liquor or give me a gift card to a restaurant etc, then you have the unrealistic customers that haggle you to the point where you are not making any gross profit in the car yet they think you are ripping them off and will burn you on the survey, AND will give you headaches after the sale is done.

      No he’s valid on this. It takes a while to build up clientele. Meaning he sells cars to certain people and if he does a good job those people will refer their friends to him. He also sells higher end cars, so he’s selling to richer people that will be more likely to buy a new car more often.

    Im not gonna lie… i kinda wish caleb spent more time educating people on why certain choices or beliefs about money are irresponsible. For example, instead of just roasting them about how high an interest rate is, do the math for the term of the loan and tell them how much money is being thrown away to interest. Help them realize what about their choices are unwise. Maybe some people do better with the whole tough love thing, but i feel like giving more eduction and freeing them of ignorance may empower them more (and teach us that are watching). Some of this information is totally foreign to people and they need a good foundation to build upon. Im sure its in the budgeting class online but it would probably help viewers understand as well. ❤

    • @rachs86782
      @rachs86782 3 місяці тому +7

      @@TSPage I have been watching these for a while now, I have probably seen almost all of them. The last few episodes before this one, I was becoming increasingly frustrated with the way in which they were approaching these guests. I felt that education was giving way to so called "entertainment". Although the amped up angry Caleb shtick is getting a little old now. They claim to want to help the viewers, but you can gain little from watching someone being shouted at for the best half of an hour. At points some guests were visible confused and they made no attempt to help them understand in the moment, which also leaves the viewers none the wiser.
      I understand the metamorphosis taking place on this channel, they've got to make it entertaining to get views, I just hope they don't lose their original ethos.

    Well friends, it's been real. I've officially UNSUBSCRIBED from this channel as I simply don't find this content palatable or helpful anymore. I used to watch this show for inspiration and motivation- now it's just cringe and I can't help but wonder what happened. Did the money, fame and UA-cam clout come on too fast? After the dehumanizing sexual comments made to the mother of 5 a few episodes back, and now this episode- questioning someone's intelligence when they're there for help, has pushed me beyond and desire to continue to support this channel. Caleb, I used to tell everyone I could about your channel, and now I can't even make it past 10-15 minutes of your episodes. You've officially lost a long-time subscriber (started watching at 50k subs). Best of luck to you. Maybe I'll check back in to see if the mean-spirit that's inhabited this corner of the internet has cooled off. Cheers.

      @@leahmcdermott4189 You should educate yourself. The longest running slave traders were the Koreans who spent 1500 years in the slave trade. The inventor of slavery was Hamurabi who was based in present-day Iraq and parts of Syria and Iran. The Barbery Pirates kidnapped and sold 1 to 1.2 million caucasians around the mediterean during the same time as European Colonialists. Your entire line of reasoning is racist and ignorant.

    I work for a PDR company here in Texas and we mostly do hail jobs on cars. If insurance tells you your car is totaled and they’ll be there to pick it up, you can tell them no. They want your car and will steal it out from under you

    • @HookersAndCoke
      @HookersAndCoke 4 місяці тому

      Yes, but keep in mind that car will be considered totaled when having it insured, through probably said company. And if you ever sell it, the history will show that it has been declared totaled. But sometimes hail isn’t too bad on a car where you can hardly tell. Up here we’ve gotten grapefruit sized hail not too long ago, some years are worse than others ofcourse, but some cars/homes get really banged up in these hail storms. But if you can recover your car from a a storm, and don’t mind the totaled status, I’d say go for it, let those guys pay you out and keep it! You can just get liability on it anyways. Or you can not report it, fix it, and then you won’t have any hail history on your car report, but that’s a lil risky. The PDR place I go through usually tells insurance what the cost of replacement is on parts, and then we always work out a deal together for the work. 👀😂 screw those guys.
      Side story, my uncle had his house insured for years through a company, then one day we had a really bad hail storm knock out windows and rip up the roof. Insurance company dropped him for that…. Was the first claim he ever made on the house. Insurance companies can kick rocks. You pay for this coverage for a CHANCE of them to cover you, but they can drop you for any reason typically.
