Since my introduction to Fondjoy and their line of DC figures with the BVS Affleck Batman, I've been eager to see what how their next figure would turn out. However, their take on the 2022 Pattinson Batman may still be leaving the toy competition with the upper hand.

Finally, a reviewer that's putting the effort to show and say all of what's wrong with this figure.
In my opinion, the first Batffleck figure was so good just by a happy accident.
Fondjoy had a great start with the BVS Batman; this "Battinson" figure needed a little more time and care to make it another home run
I think the issues vary from figure to figure. A small fix I have done with the legs that caused it to stand awkwardly is one or both of the clear plastic socket is not pushed all the way in into the leg sockets so I used hot water to soften the plastic and simply push it back in. However, in the process of doing so, it cracked the plastic so now the joint ended up feeling a little too loose but it won't fall off of the joint so I advise caution when trying to separate the legs fom the ball joint. And, to go the extra mile to "increase" range, I used a hobby knife to cut off excess plastic along the edges on the top of the leg since the excess plastic clashes into the clear plastic inside the crotch piece preventing a decent side split.
I also detached the utility belt to re-glue it again only from the front and back while leaving the rest loose so it doesn't prevent the legs from doing a forward kick. Lastly, I didn't like the wire they used so I simply cut out small slits at the end of the cape to take out the thin wire and replaced it with copper wire instead.
I know it's a lot of work to improve its faults and I can't help myself to fix it because of how limited this figure feels.
My major complaint about this figure is that Fondjoy is using clear acrylic plastic inside that holds all the pieces together which could potentially break overtime. Hopefully this does not carry over to their future releases.
I’m sorry but the McFarland is dead last compared to the others
I’m a huge Mafex fan, but that batman has a chest gap you could park the batmobile in, a headsculpt that looks like a bootleg and those leg joints that make it look like he’s broken his legs when you pose him. Odd choice for me but then again, it’s not my ranking.
lol during the comparisons you can clearly see that the fondjoy one is the most faithful/better looking of the bunch. Its a shame that yours came defective and for what ive seen a lot of them are, in that point i will agree fondjoy dropedd the ball
He may have issues, but I still want him. The collar does stick up that high. It kinda gets up to the base of his head
I got him for $27 and not much issues with it at all. I put some nail polish on the feet ball pegs and he's just as stable as any other figure. I used to have to do that with every McFarlane figures for the first 2 years of their figures because their ankle joints sucked wayyyy worse than Fondjoy's. If you don't need to do dynamic posing, then this is the fig for you. I just appreciate the extra accessories and details on this guy that the McFarlane version doesn't have.

@@TobyKester9 Just note that you won't be able to pose the legs much at all. The lower half's articulation is a bit less than McFarlane's. And you'll definitely need to put nail polish/superglue(let it dry on the ball peg) on the ankle joints to prevent it from falling. They wanted to make the boots look like one piece without the ball joint sticking out but they used the wrong joint for it. For a figure this cheap, I definitely can forgive these minor issues. On the other hand, my $100 Mafex Batmans have huge issues that's not as forgivable because of their expensive pricepoint. The Kightfall one has a HUGE stomach gap if I even bend him back 10 degrees. The abs sticks out like some kind of mutant deformation.

@@PointlessProductions-dk5nr it is what this sets this figure back from almost being a good figure if it wasn't for those clear ball joints and sockets. Hopefully it doesn't carry over to their future releases.

So I got my own FondJoy Battinson; My first one had a leg that popped off at the hip joint. I decided to do an Exchange. My new figure came in today...and both feet pop off at the ankles -_-. The Laziness is real, guys. This is a great LOOKING figure, but the joints suck.
Joint issues aside, I do think this is the best RPatts Batman figure for the money, at least in 6 - 7 inch scale.
I think the Mezco one is the best period, even if his proportions are Mezco-ified, and the Mafex is good but I just don't see enough value in it to justify the price. With Mezco the clothing (whether you like it or not) and the quality of the headsculpts gives it just enough value that I can excuse it being $100+, but I still think the Fondjoy figure is a better value at $40. It has adequate accessories, and has the best body proportions overall, and the best sculpt on the suit. I also don't think the masked head is bad at all, but the unmasked heads are trash.
Figuarts is overpriced trash that needs no elaboration, and the McFarlane is just okay for being like $25, but where the base version of the Fondjoy is only $15 more I don't think the McFarlane even compares. I've seen people do great fixer-uppers on the McFarlane, but even then it still has its janky body proportions and almost no accessories. All the Fondjoy needs is some clear nail polish in the joints to tighten them and a bit of wash and drybrushing. It's not an excuse for the QC, but if you know how to improve its faults the Fondjoy is the best value you're going to get.
The 1/9 scale sucks cause u can’t display with anything else

I have this fig, and the problem is not exactly about the articulation, the real problem is the material choice to make the joints, because they used a clear plastic, and this material breaks very easily, so u can articulate the fig but it gonna start cracking. Another issue is the black parts, the plastic is not black, is just black paint, and when u use the figure, the paint start scratching.
I got nothin'. It's a chore just for me to keep up with the McFarlane Batman figures.
Bro, I am a faithful defender of McFarlane's Batman but putting it on fondjoy and mezco is crazy
Despite its flaws, Fondjoy Battinson is still the superior figure. Mcfarlane and Mafex have horrible proportions and none of Pattinson's likeness🤨

Yeah, I have both McFarlane and Fondjoy and McFarlane looks much cheaper in comparison in terms of details and paint. But hey, that's what the OP prefers I guess.
I had mine with the left knee joint in reverse.
The likeness to Pattinson is there, it’s just that the eyes are painted weirdly and the painted textures are a bit too light like Mezco figures. The sculpt is a 100% similar to his likeness.
I'm halfway through this review, and I gotta say, the likeness is miles closer to Pattinson than McFarlane's figure is. I never opened mine or the Batcycle, because the figure isn't that great. It was the only figure I bought from that wave. I regret not buying one other figure from that wave, only because The Penguin MAX series is the best comic-book movie peripheral series, I've ever viewed. Hell, it's better than any other streaming series that I've seen. I wish I had bought that Penguin figure.

That comparison line-up makes this Fondjoy Pattinson Batman look the BEST. Shame about all the problems with it. I'd give up on collecting Pattinson Batman figures too. Those Mafex, Figuarts, and Mezco figs look like I "figured" they'd look . . . LIKE $#!T.

Speaking of fondjoy! You've gotta pick up their 1/12 iron man model kits. I've built the mk1, mk3, and mk7. I would not recommend the mk3 bc he's underscaled and poorly proportioned (tho still a very fun figure). The mk1 is good only if you're willing to customize it (I've probably put in like 30 hours on him at this point). The mk7 however, is phenomenal right out of the gate. I believe that is probably the same for every other kit after the mk3
Dude, you are very picky in a weird way, the FJ is by far the bes looking obe the others are just crap, even the doll looking mezo, if just some one can make some upgraded joints for this figure men!...

a little bit of paint tweak for the Pattinson head and this is a much better figure especially compared to Mcfarsupercooldude...i hope Fondjoy improve with their future release especially with the new Cavil version...

@apankura._.3786 The video doesn't show it well due to how it's positioned in relation to the mcfarlane but the Fondjoy is almost identical in scale to it with maybe a millimeter of difference
I dont think this headsculpt is any worse than the others, except for the mezco (which is the only one i see a solid likeness in). But yeah it's a shame the engineering was so poor, i was looking forward to this figure. The overall sculpt is by far the best, no comparison.
Every company like making batfleck the most, he gets so much care, re release with mezco mafex, mcfarlane he’s the best Batman, I think ur onto something with them maybe having to release this THE BATMAN almost was a contractual obligation
