@metamorphomisk I have the Daredevil from that 3 pack. I don't believe it was an attempt to be the definitive. Hasbro picked a decent body with RYV, but it still fell short. The worst thing about it is the paint. Should have made the DD logo more distinguished. If Hasbro is going to force you into a 3 pack hostage buy, then go all out with the accessories. Bendy wire for the batons, multiple hands and heads for Daredevil, maybe a beat-up head scuplt and a teeth gritting like the one included in the Spider-Man Animated 2 pack. Also it could have just been a loaded 2 pack with electra price similar to the Punisher 2 pack. Otherwise, it should have just been a single release. Once Hasbro put it on RYV, they either gave up on effort after that or ran out of budget. Definitely was not maximum effort. DP would be disappointed.
I feel a little bit weird that non Mafex or Revoltech has give us a Green lantern by this point, he appears at the end of return of Superman, so there is a chance we see him from Mafex and i expected one from Revoltech since we got Flash not so long ago (since those are my 6 inch DC lines, ill be going for the first one that makes Hal)
Daredevil is one of my favorite characters and way overdue for a proper figure. I could've picked up any of the last 4 Legends, but I was never happy with any of them, and seeing them side by side with Mafex is so clear what the difference is. Proper proportions, little bit of shading, and adding color to the accents (boots, gloves, straps, insignia) to add some contrast and now we're looking at a good figure finally! I'll be honest that the early photos had me a little worried but I'm glad I held out hope because they fixed all that and brought the heat on this one! They make it look so easy!
The various billy clubs are so classic Daredevil! The string on the one billy club is meant to resemble a collapsible blind cane/walking stick which could split into his billy clubs. The extended one with the hook design was based on an early version of the billy clubs which acted as a walking cane that could split and extend into a grapple hook via wire.

Stoic, gritted teeth and yelling head sculpts should be mandatory for all future comic based figure releases. Steel came with them as well. Hopefully Doomsday comes with 3 head variations as well.
I am primarily a Marvel Legends collector, but Daredevil is a character that I feel Hasbro hasn't really nailed yet. The older Daredevil figures are on the outdated Bucky Cap mold, and while the RYV mold that Hasbro has used for their newer Daredevil figures is a better and more modern mold, I don't feel the proportions and aesthetic are quite right for Daredevil I got my Mafex Daredevil in the mail 2 days ago and I am extremely happy with this release. I was a bit "meh" about the Mafex Captain America [which I own, so even if others disagree (which it totally cool, it's all subjective) I want to make it clear that my opinion comes from in-hand experience], but this Daredevil is a genuinely amazing release. Without exaggeration, I think this might be Mafex's best figure Everything is a perfect fit for the Daredevil character. The proportions are perfect for Daredevil; the figure's physique is imposing with broad shoulders and defined musculature, but there's still a lithe feel to it that fits his agile movements. The articulation scheme is also just as fantastic as you'd expect from Mafex. One of my favorite aspects on this figure is the color scheme Mafex went with. Some people prefer Daredevil to be colored a single red color with heavy shading breaking the color up, but I am not among them. Much like we see Daredevil colored in his Silver Age books or (to use a more recent example) the Mark Waid run, I prefer when Daredevil's bodysuit is a darker red and his gloves/boots are a lighter red. This is my preferred aesthetic for Daredevil, and it looks absolutely glorious on this figure And as I mentioned earlier, as somebody who is primarily a Marvel Legends collect, I greatly appreciate Mafex slowly increasing the scale of their figures. The fact that this figure is right on par with the height of the Marvel Legends Daredevil (or maybe even a tiny bit taller) is so amazing, it fits right in with a larger Marvel Legends collection. Overall, I am extremely happy with this figure. I have a feeling this is one of those figures that is going to sell out and be extremely hard/expensive to get down the line, so if you're even remotely interested in this figure, I definitely suggest picking it up

My love for Cap may keep me from admitting that daredevil MIGHT be a better figure haha. Both are honestly amazing

I think the last daredevil and hydro man looked really great. But this definitely would be my definitive version. It would’ve been perfect with the Matt head but other than that no other gripes. Although mafex is a higher price point I think with all the accessories they come with you would have to buy 3 or 4 versions of marvel legends to get the accessories these come with and the stand is just the cherry on top.
Sucks it's sold out and not very widely available. Hope BBTS gets a restock. I don't really care for Mafex, but I'd grab this guy for sure. Have 3 different customs I'm working on and would love to be able to utilize at least one of these extra heads on the classic one.

Mafex as far as 6 inch scale goes have quite a few figures where you won’t have to buy another one of that design comic design in my opinion. A few comes to mind Magneto Gambit Daredevil Captain America Spider-Man Nightwing Bane.
The build of this new Mafex version somehow reminds me of the old toybiz urban legends Marvel Legends Daredevil figure. And, this new one is miles leagues better than the new RNV ML one.
I prefer the VHS Daredevil with the stenciled details on his costume. I’ve been getting tired of seeing Daredevil figures that constantly have the same deco as far as either the two toned red or the monochromatic look and Kudos to Hasbro for really playing with the formula on his costume design. From here on in I’d kind of like to keep seeing that. We should be getting Daredevil’s that feature paint details that are reactive to Blacklight and shit. Or give us a prismatic version with iridescent ruby reds. Just play around with it. Companies should never be afraid to try something new. Especially when the only other option is to do the same thing that you’ve been doing for 20+ years.
Is the concern of pain chipping on the shoulders true? Also is there enough clearance in the upper torso? My knightfall Batman chipped after one crunch out of package. Great review, as always.
Damn sorry to hear that. I think paint chipping might always be a concern because they usually cast the figures in a different color than they paint them but with Daredevil, I haven't seen any issues with the paint and there are no areas that seem to be at risk of scraping against each other. So answer your question, it doesn't seem to be a problem but id still pose it with caution.
@michaeltinishanay655 Silicon Shock oil for RC cars eorks best. For joints, it works better than heating the figure and lasts longer. For figures with tight wrist pegs, use heat to pop of the hands, then use shock oil after they are removed.
The only things that seem annoying on this figure are the torso crunch and no unmasked head. Getting the Captain America range would've been cool. I wouldn't be surprised if we get the Murdock head with a repaint. I'd love an All New All Different DD or any of his suits from the Zdarsky run
He gets great range in the low waist. He actually gets a bit more range than what's shown in the revie. If u pop the torso u will see that at the waist its another double ball peg joint and its not stationary like most Mafex figures. So don't be afraid to push it even harder for a deeper crunch because the ball peg wont break. Hope this helps.

I still gotta give it to the Daredevil Hydro-Man two pack Daredevil. I love that DD figure! I didn't think I'd like it that much but once I took it outta the pack and actually played around with it it instantly became my favorite DD figure! The torso doesn't get quote as much as Cap but still enough to get him in nice crouching poses. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

The figure has a real problem with scaling, it’s McFarlane proportions at 1:12, the legs are a slightly larger scale to the rest of the body

For me it's a toss up between Mafex and NECA who is the Best but I am starting to think Mafex just might pip NECA to the line.
