  • Savannah Jane Buffet joins Melissa Perlman at Amansala Eco Chic Resort & Spa, where people come to rejuvenate their mind, spirit and body. After realizing that New York was making her feel ever more isolated from friends and family, Melissa left the Big Apple after six years in a cramped apartment after hearing about Tulum from a friend. There she has learned Spanish, started a family, and has succeeded as a savvy hotelier -- but not without some setbacks, including a run in with the Mexican mafia.

    One of the most inspiring women I’ve ever met. And I went to stay with her and visit amansala, and it was the most magical week of my life. She truly has taught me so much. Best business woman, mother, friend. Just a true gem.

    I just watched this video coming across it by accident. What an inspirational woman.
    You only need to take a look at her website and see the quality of her bikini bootcamp and read the reviews.
    Then I read some of those below here. They would be the couch travelers Im sure! never get off their but to go and visit these places but ready to criticize others.
    I'm also sure Melissas' new life she started in Tulum hasn't been easy, not glamorous and certainly worrying as she mentioned in the video. Not knowing where the next dollar is coming from when you have started a project and there is no going back, yet so much more to lose if you go forward. However, if you have a dream and focus on it with a positive attitude, something always comes through and it did for Melissa. Congratulations to her for sticking with it and being successful.
    I know how she felt, I too am an expat living in France for almost 8 years, been there and done that, renovating old stone cottages, one now a successful bnb. But it wasn't easy, it was a struggle and you doubt your sanity at times, wonder if its worth it, but at least we got off the couch and just did it!
    I hope to visit Melissa's retreat in the next few months. I'm sure it will be worth it.

    I've been searching for a wellness retreat in Tulum or Playa for the spring of 2021. This was among ones I'd considered but after watching this video I am sold. What a beautiful story ❤️

    Wow..I can't believe the losers posting how they think that Melissa has Daddy helping her out? Does she have to reveal every last detail of her story and life for you to respect what she managed to pull off? The fact is, you have no idea where the 50K came from. She probably toiled and saved for quite some time. Either way, it doesn't seem to me that it was all handed to her on a silver platter. As for not owning the property? She's a risk taker and you don't know what kind of arrangement she had with the owner. I applaud and admire her as a woman for going for her vision and putting it first. If you note, man and baby came first. She is a self made woman and has all my respect.

      Sarah Dupuy You can save $50,000 easily in USA if you can let go unnecessary SPENDING buying junk in America. I save that much 7 years ago on my $35,000 a year income. I saved $1,000 a month plus my tax returns for 3 years. I ended up buying my condo where I am living now through foreclosure mortgage free in a good neighborhood in USA. Anyone can do it with determination. Now,I am rent and mortgage free. My next GOAL is to save another $50,000 to invest in something else that I am still thinking about so that I can be self employed. You don't need any sugar daddy to save a lot of money, I am doing it alone,single with my one child. All of my debt paid off except for my car that I am planning to pay off.

      Charles Rinehart not every successful woman is so because of her father, you sound sexist and patronizing for assuming so.

      @nicolemurray449 9 років тому +1

      Cancun Susie he only said that because she is a woman, men think that women can't be successful without their fathers supporting them. show me the expat videos featuring successful men where he says daddy supports them and i will eat my shoe.

      @CMRinehart 9 років тому +1

      Nicole Murray Even on Shark Tank, they ask the entrepreneurs where they got the money to start their business. Melissa never explains that here. And she just comes across as entitled. Are people jealous of her? Absolutely. Just human nature to be jealous of things. But no one hates her.

    • @nicolemurray449
      @nicolemurray449 9 років тому +1

      Charles Rinehart so it's not that youre suspicious of successful women, it's that you're jealous? Well at least you are aware of how your misogynism manifests. 💁
