ooh Odontomachus wait aren't they quite big because they do grow pretty slow do they and the set up is actually really nice and quite weird how it was set up
Their number is just estimate buddy, yes slow Growing but not as slow as the big odontomachus, the workers now are 7 to 8 mm but they can reach around 10mm once the colony is old enough, to consume more protein. this one grows just fair enough i think. Anyway their my third O. Simillimus colony
You can cut the vent protection using a coping saw buddy, the one i use on cutting the nest parts. And for cutting straight you can use laminate cutter or acrylic cutter buddy.
Acrylic paints are safe to use for ants enclosure buddy, just let it fully dry/cured before exposing your ants in them. But the safest way to color the stuffs needed for your set up is food coloring, you can use it as dye on the parts needed.

You can search for weld on , acrylic cement buddy. Its a good one.
