Use succulents instead of cacti. Don't water them and they should thrive with just the humidity.

I recently catch some Q Trap (maybe Odontomachus Simillimus) but all of them still have wings and I think they dont fertilized now. Can i separate them into 2 Q in 1 setup tub and tube (wanna one queen dominant and the other serve she like worker) to reproduce Drone and make it mate with other pair? (Example 8 Q Trap divide into 4 setup > wanna them lay egg > hatch into drone). Can i do like this with that species Or just one Q in setup (8 setup for 8 Q)? Hope I can hear from you soon, buddy! 🥰

In tubs and tubes setup, how to prevent food from getting mold in the tube?
Most of the Queen's take out their left over from the tube, but sometimes their lazy to take it out, maybe. If you have the space and could take it out by using tweezers or a stick, that would be great. But when there's no chance just let her decide when to take it out. Just offer a fresh testube in the tub and wait for the emigration, you can slightly reveal her to make her uncomfortable and to speed up the process of transfer.

No need to feed her every day buddy, every 3 days much better. Just give her enough food and her larvae if she have already.
Do you have any idea how many years the queen can live?
There's no answer that applies to all. Different ant species got different life span buddy it's about 2 - 20 years in average, species that goes through hibernation will live longer, and believed to live for up to 30 years.

from larvae to pupa how long does it take.
It depends on the ant specie buddy, larger size ants normally takes longer than the tiny ones, but if your asking for this specific specie on the video, they take about 30+ days from larvae to pupa.

@@Dcolony I have a question. I have an odontomachus simillimus colony, is it just fine If their protein source only comes from the pet foods like cat/dog/fish food because I've heard that pet foods can be used as an alternative for the feeder insects?

Some specie can have gamergate if there's a queen absence, like it died. But there's also a queen less ant colony, fully run by gamergate.

Thanks. You should be careful when pharoah ants are around buddy, i have experienced that before. You can sorround your ant fram with an insecticide chalk.
Love watching these ant farm videos, I find them to be interesting and fun to watch, however I don't like the dealers at all, they are so crooked, price grouching, overkilled price tags, it's awful, I've never seen so many crooks in my life time for what they are charging for these ant farms that are made out of simple plastic, it's appalling to me and disgusting how greedy people are nowadays.
