I can signify this as he being an average student because in a factory, everything that gets made there is the same, just like him. Amazing scene, I felt like I was in his shoes in that moment omg the sheer terror.

The punishment its self didn't kill him, I believe he was killed by a virus or a sickness that made him cough up so much blood, he died of blood loss. This looks scary as hell Though it's quick so I'd rather die like this rather than Leon's death. A downside is the feeling of anxiousness while going through the machine thing. Would probably be dying from anxiousness anyways knowing I'll be crushed in like 1 minute.

ehck, just realized if makoto really did die then my two favorite characters in the series would've both died from being crushed.. well at least one survived. doesn't take away the perpetual sad boi hours though.

I remember thinking at first that I had chosen wrong and that the game started over. I would have been so mad. Instead I got surprised (I suppose as per the usual for Danganronpa) and the game kept going.

for me- makoto is one of my favorite protagonists anr when he was gonna get executed i almost cried- and when it failed i was literally so happy
His facial expression is my face when I'm holding my pee
