The last comment he makes about just trying to live life cooler. What a point to make in this day and age of distraction and drama.
Block that bullshit out, be cooler with yourself and with everyone else.
Just that alone would make this world a better place.

im not a taiji guy but also practice a 'soft style'. the way i interpreted it was in order for someones strength to affect you it has to meet resistance. in this instance and in comparison to his student adam has none. therefore patrick has nothing to fight against and as a result his strength cannot be applied.

    • @resultbasedhandsonhealing1919
      @resultbasedhandsonhealing1919 2 роки тому

@@gandalf7354 it’s more like the student tries too hard to affect adams balance while Adams body is in balance with/without his force.
It’s more like a person stands and hold a chair. Either way he is balance.
While student is more concerned about “attacking” : pushing/pulling, sudden moves etc, Adam is always in balance.
Whatever force coming in Adam is in balance with the point of focus and he moves abs create power from this area.
Students are more Like playing a ball where masters create and masters have total control and not students.
Students feel they are playing the ball and thinking they are moving the ball.
Actually they are moved by the ball that masters can control

It would be good if he would make tai chi more practical for self defense. Like dealing with kick boxing or something.
Push hand is good for developing certain skills but no one is going to do push hands with you in a self-defense situation. Nice tricks but mostly impractical on the streets.
I would like to see him take yang tai chi to a new level.
Don't get me wrong tai chi

I've seen many videos like this on youtube and I believe in the power of energy work from doing my own Qi Gong practice but at the same time, I'm skeptical that it's real when applied the way shown in these videos. Having abilities like this would be AMAZING but only if it's actually real. Does anyone know how I can prove that this is the real deal? Any sources I can look up? Obviously experiencing it first hand would convince me but until then I would love to hear from someone who can convince me online :)

I've seen videos where he is working with experienced martial artists, and he throws them around with ease. His abilities aren't superhuman. It's just a rarely achieved level of skill. Many of his top students can do the same thing. And he's not te only Tai Chi instructor that can do this. It's just rare.

The principles used here are the engine that can power real technique. These aren't techniques themselves. And technical expertise isn't fighting. I have 30 years of hard Kung Fu training. But I can see that if I had these principles producing power behind my strikes...it would be a much higher skill. I see it as something I lack, and as a very high level of achievement.

IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO OPEN AND CLOSE IN EVERY TAIJI MOVEMENT YOU DONT KNOW TAIJI...WHEN YOU CLOSE THE FORCE GO FROM THE HEAVEN - HEAD TO THE FEET AND YOU STORE ENERGY......WHEN YOU OPEN THE FORCE GOES FROM THE FOOT TO THE UPPER BODY AND YOU RELEASE THE ENERGY...SO YOU NEED THE PROPER METHOD TO TEACH YOU HOW TO EXPAND AND CONTRACT YOUR PHYSICAL AND YOUR ENERGY BODY....THIS IS THE TRICK.....WITHOYT THIS ''SECRET'' ALL THE TAIJI MOVEMENTS ARE NOTHING BUT DANCING.....THIS IS WHAT I TRY TO TEACH IN MY CLASS..... i dont see mizner has this knowledge...as i judge from his form ....wrong frame...if you acquire high levels you have also real golden bell , you can withstand full power strikes from hammer otherwise you use only tricks!!!!!!!!!!!
