Chinese have the least knowledge of kungfu or they are just to ignorant to admit that taiji is dead long time ago. The real art wasnt given to the next generation.

This is a classic teaching. I like how he shows the practical understanding of what this mind vs nervous system relationship is. I've found that you do have to calm the mind first to find understanding.
@@Extreme-Music-Escape In a few years (hopefully), you'll read back that comment you wrote and realise what an immature and uncultivated mind and character you were.
@@inspiringothers7197 no I won't. I don't believe in the Easter bunny now, and I won't in the Future. The issue I have is that you class this garbage as a martial art and self defence. Perhaps when he and his family no longer have the need to eat or pay rent or wear clothing, he will do this gratis. He will also need to learn to fly so he doesn't need to pay an airline.
@@vmarc4682 Just a joke. I heard the song in my head when he mentioned the part about moments. Taking things too seriously is a kind of tension, and is as applicable to thought as it is to the body. Be careful that you don't defeat yourself.

Many top athletes, artists, etc will experience that sense of time dilation. adreneline makes us feel like everything is going fast. This is such a great discussion. im not on adam's level, but I experience this a lot, as a result of my bagua training and meditation work. it's beyond technique.
Mylenated nerve fibers move faster than unmylenated nerves. staying in a para-sympathetic nervous system during a violent situation just helps us see the situation wider and clearer.
If anyone wants to figure what Taijiquan as a martial art is all about, well, look no further, this is it. This is where the rubber meets the road. Sifu Adam puts it so tangibly & practically w/o all the mysticism & double-speak. For the most part, I think most teachers don't even quite understand it themselves. But to most who are already conditioned in other martial arts, they'll be skeptical & find it puzzling.
This is wrong. Not only are the students offering absolutely no resistance, but they are also WAY over-reacting to those feeble techniques. Students mean well, the teacher is exploiting their teachability. Hope this helps. - Patrick Fulop
i believe that there is something to the concept of internal power, and using relaxation to absorb and redirect forces. unfortunately, adam mizner is really just a scam artist. every single person that he works with here simply complies with his verbal instructions. not one of them actually responds independently. they all magically lose their structure and crumple or fly away.
Hi, I strongly disagree with you. I have never met Adam, but I can tell you now he is speaking the truth. Its difficult to understand until you have experienced/felt the "state" of which he speaks.
Berni Davis speaking the ‘truth.’ This is 90% bs mixed in with a little ‘truth.’ Yes look inward to find your mistakes so that you can clearly see the mistakes others make. True but hardly revolutionary. But I have been in martial arts since the age of 12; youngest Wing Chun instructor level in the UK at the time, Chi Gung, boxing, Muay Thai and BJJ and an arm drag that he shows would work zero times against a non compliant partner. If he really can slow external time by being so hyper aware of the internal or whatever bs he is talking then please get a judge to stand on an athletics track with arm raised, and when he drops his arm; beat Usain Bolt over even 10m. Bet it won’t happen. Take a Judo Olympian to the floor I will bet a 1000 bucks they beat you to it. It’s 2020, let’s stop being so dumb
While I’m here I will say I have nothing against Tai Chi as moving meditation, but this guy does not have spider sense and would get sparked out cold by anyone with real martial arts experience. Just saying
@@FFTuk time is flexible in the mind. None that f the arts you specified you have trained have anything to do with taiji so until you have the experience to speak on the art your opinion is groundless and just that. An opinion.
tim bushnell where is your proof that time is ‘flexible in the mind.’ So you daydream whilst driving and a minute feels like an hour, does that mean that the traffic light never turned green and people aren’t beeping you from behind? No the world moved on and you were stuck in a fantasy. Which is quite sad really. All I asked was PROVE IT. My opinion is that I am a wizard and I don’t have to slow time because I can bend space and punch you through your laptop. You wouldn’t understand because you don’t study wizard arts. My offer stands PROVE IT. I will give you the address of your nearest local reputable BJJ school and you can go down there and work your magic. When you come back after being mounted and politely slapped around the face because they felt too sorry for punching you, come back and say ‘man, maybe I should learn something useful even art or knitting as at least it produces something real’.

Not bad. He is a bit of a wuss and all, but I have learned something. I have bastardized all kung fu and jumbled them together.
