@@TITAN3084 Is it really though? I don't own the Wurkkos but the difference isn't very noticeable on this Convoy. I was thinking the TD01 difference was below 20% but maintained a much brighter beam. I'm glad I waited for the buck driver before buying this light, and most people with the old one seem to have regrets that they didn't.
@bensebaugh6017 Yeah, td01c looses about 20 % compared to the non buck version, but holds the turbo for about 1 min longer and is much more stable in other modes (1lumen review). 20 % looks relative much on the paper, but with the eye it's probably barely visible. The problem with the td01c is, that it has already in it's non buck version not so much turbo-lumen (1504 lm after 30 sec) for a 21700 cell flashlight with a sft40 led. So loosing another about 20 % and ending with 1218 lm after 30 sec. is just a a bit disappointing turbo value. With the convoy 3x21D you have at least super much lumens for a single LED thrower, so loosing some for gaining runtime and holding the output longer stable is not as bad, I guess, and also for me the better choice. A comparison with lumen measurements would be still very interesting. And, how much the battery charge and type influences the turbo. At least with the old FET version, you could reach about 1 million cd and 1800 m with molicell p45b, from what I read in the Internet :D
I agree your spot on with the LEP‘s. I have the W 35 and the Thor3 they don’t need much power to push them. The Candela is off the charts. What they have to do better, which will come in time is developing a spill. But when it comes to distance, you can’t beat them. On a 21700 you have over 1 million Candella and can run forever. I remember when you did your show on the.Nextorch T20L. That torch had a beautiful hotspot.

16:46 A little donut is visible, like probably with all strong throwers with not round LED´s, i assume? Do you also have a some fogging at the reflector, if you turn you flashlight on (low) and watch the reflector?
Didn't notice fogging on low, only on higher modes. Donut holes are mostly to do with the focusing of the reflector. Sometimes they are not the right width/length based on the specifications of the LED die size. There's some program that manufacturers use that's expensive to purchase apparently
@DarrenYeoYT yeah, the fogging seems to be common on convoy reflectors - I even found a reddit discussion about this.
