Geez, timing is everything. Earlier today I was using my nail gun parallel to the plywood and sure enough had a "blowout" as Jon notes at 2:30 into this video. If I had watched this video first, I would not have held the gun as I did. Dang it.
What I like about your vids is that they are real life - mistakes are made and ultimately we learn more from mistakes than when things come out “perfect”. In fact, perfection doesn’t exist - I learn from your vids and your projects come out just the way we like them .... perfect enough. Happy TG Day
Jon this is what I like about your videos. Old school. No CNC, (I get it, they are nice, but either you don't have the room or money to spend on them) AND I don't know if anyone else noticed you sharpen your pencils with a razor knife....old school
@4:58, I said the same thing as the wood bounced off the blade. 😂... this is a beautifully crafted handle, and that knife is just amazing. Nicely done!
Do I see a set of Longview Jon Peters steak knives in the future? With a custom knife block? You certainly have the skills to make it happen 😁. Happy Thanksgiving Jon
Lol im guessing you were not allowed to cover up his name right? I don't quite get why this guy likes his own name so much that he puts it on everything.
John!!!!!!! thank you brother!!!! love and respect!!!!!
Fun project ...Thank you Jimmy... happy to have your knife part of the this years family Thanksgiving 🦃 ... happy Thanksgiving Buddy

Another Diresta knife and a completely different take on it. Human creativity at its finest.
I enjoy your small projects just as much as the large furniture builds. Thanks for mixing it up and also for providing great instruction

My favorite one right now.
Looks great: love the color of the wood contrasting with the metal and epoxy.
That handle came out amazingly. I love that you made it that a person can still see the laser work.
That rosewood is very beautiful. Great job John!
The Sawstop saying in the background...."Use me...Use...me"
Great video Jon

I consider only you as true carpenter. Nicely done
Great way to kick off Thanksgiving Day... appreciate all your videos over the years!
Awesome concept of keeping the laser print visible...
Look great, i love it.. Great job Jon
All handles are awesome but yours Is my favorite. Great job.
Looks great. A pressure pot would have eliminated the bubbles. I also watched Frank’s video on his knife. Both are very nice. 👍👍👍
Turned out great!
I like final shape of the handle. Came out great, looks nice!
Nice design.
Looks cool!

That nibbling with the TS at @6:45 ... tricky little bit. Turned out great, Jon
Sweet...
Great idea to use resin ..🤘🤘
Happy Thanksgiving
Looks cool but I don't see it lasting very long without any mechanical attachments
SHIT!!
As usual you make it look easy.
That's a beautiful handle.
Nicely done, Jon. I love how you keep it real, show your mistakes and how you address them. We all make them.
🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful! I think you and Neil made my favorites! (Apologies to John and Frank 😁🤭🤜🤛)
Where’s the saw stop?!
Sealing the inside of the wood with epoxy then rerouting with the template would probably have reduced the airboubles somewhat.

What happened to your riping knife?
This saw never have one, my new SawStop does
@@JonPetersArtHome good. Greetings from El Salvador. Central America.
Nice handle but it’s spoiled by the Diresta ego.

Marketing/Branding. He's a businessman after all.
Very nice
