@@osualum85 You can get a can that size at Walmart for 6 bucks. Find me two full extension rollerball drawer slides for that (try closer to $8-12 each). And those "scraps" of plywood he used look suspiciously like what we call "project panels" in the USA (~2ft²/60cm² by what I'd bet is ½"/13mm B.Birch plywood, sanded on one or both sides. I usually pay ~$4 each. He's using 3).
I'm guessing total build cost him $15-25 USD (or would've, if IN the USA. No clue where this was filmed).
Oh, and don't kid yourself: made with "stuff I had around the shop" isn't the same as "free". That's a false economy. It came from SOMEWHERE; just because I overestimated my material buy at one point, or overstocked due to a hot sale, I still PAID for it at SOME TIME.

It slides under my miter saw table and I can fill it full and heavy of cutoff scraps and sawdust without risk of bag tearing. It took me only minutes to buy and start using. I didn't use any of my good plywood, screws, clamp, or drawer slides to make it, and it didn't take me any time or effort to build it. I think I'll skip adopting Vanya's suggestion on this one. Indeed, one would have to be pretty desperate for something to do in the shop to make Vanya's pull out plastic bag trash bin. My el cheapo plastic trash bin is just as good -- if not better.

Is it going to be a toilet seat, a porthole, a dish washing bowl holder. No it is an absolutely brilliant waste bin for offcuts and anything else that should be put in a bin. Many thanks for sharing that was the best 8 minutes I have spent in a while.

Vanya - I just bumped into your channel by accident. After seeing that first vid, I immediatly subscribed, which is not something I normally do. Not only are your designs amazing, but your video production is exemplory. This world can use more of both. Give me a little time, and I will watch everything you have put out.
There is no BS from you, which is a rare thing in this world. You get right to the point and don't waste my time, nor treat me like an idiot (even if I might be). I find myself constantly saying, Well, I could do that. Yeah, I could do that as well, on and on to the point of realizing, Well, why don't you then (directed to me). You are truly inspirational.
I am curious about a few things, meaning what's your basic background. How old are you, where are you from, how do you make a living, who was your mentor, those sort of questions. Even not knowing much about you, I already know, I would be honored to have you in any Foxhole I am in. Keep up the good work.
ps - I never throw away scaps of wood, and it drives my wife crazy. I only have about 2 cubic feet of such (well, maybe a bit more), as I tend to utilize it all, one way or another - but clearly, not to the level you do. I am just a weekend carpenter at best, but I have had my moments.

The BS is not being able to put a proper title to a video so a viewer can decide wether or not to watch it.
Also, as you'll be able to read from other comments, it's better to skip most of the video to know what you're in for

This reminds me of a story of an Arab walking through the desert. He's exhausted when he comes across an old Jew selling ties. He asked the old Jew if he has any water. The Jew said that he didn't have any water, just ties. The Arab cursed the Jew, and yelled that he didn't need any ties, just water. The Jew said, "Sorry, but all I have are just ties. However, if you go over that sand dune, and about 2 miles ahead, there is a great restaurant with all the cold water you could want. And best of all, it's free!" At the end of the day, and almost dead, the Arab found his way back to the old Jewish man. He gasped, and was barely able to speak, "They wouldn't let me in without a tie."
